David came out before the ice storm in January and gave an estimate on tree removal. He was knowledgeable and offered sound advice. We set up the date for the tree removal. I was quite nervous as the trees were quite large, hung over the house, and they were near our septic tank. David received several worried texts of inquiry about these concerns and never got impatient. On the day of the removal, he and the team prayed over the job and then began to remove 4 giant trees, two which extended over the house. They then trimmed 4 more extremely large trees. Each crew member was thoughtful and courteous. In the end, they removed all four trees, trimmed the other four, left plenty of mulch, and removed all debris. Honestly, the yard looked better when they left, as they had cleaned up every branch on the ground whether they put it there or not. In addition, they used plywood under all the heavy equipment to preserve the integrity of the grass. All of this was accomplished in one day. Their arborist came by, and I really appreciated that he actually knew what he was talking about. He checked it out and explained that the tree was diseased and really needed to come out before it spread to the other trees in my yard. I honestly wouldn't have known that on my own, so I was grateful he caught it. He gave me a very reasonable price to remove it, took care of the stump, and the whole area was cleaned up nicely when they were done. I was able to throw some grass seed down, and it wasn't long before it looked like the tree was never even there. I'm glad they got it out before it made my other trees sick, and I appreciated how straightforward and professional they were. I'd definitely use them again.

When we started building a raised garden bed we got a little ahead of ourselves and ended up…read moredoubling the size from our original plan. This was all going great until we got it built and realized just how much soil it was going to take to fill it in! A neighbor recommended we get the dirt by the truck load from CJ Mulch versus bagged at a garden center. We are so glad we took this advice! Luckily we have a pickup truck so transporting it was no problem, but they do offer delivery and will even spread mulch around your yard, too! When we left to get the dirt we actually debated whether we would need to take shovel to help load it ourselves, but thankfully the guys over at the mulch yard were well equipped and made loading a breeze. Whew - I wish we could have unloaded it as quickly and smoothly as they filled us up! We pulled into the lot and almost immediately the man operating a front end loader (? or some big ole piece of machinery) stopped what he was doing to roll on over to us and ask how he could help. The lot was full of huge mounds of various types of mulch, dirt, etc. He had us back our truck up to a pile and then he scooped up a bucket full and positioned beside the truck. Seeing that big machine with 1,000+ pounds of dirt was pretty intimidating (looked like it could have crushed our vehicle) but the operator was extremely careful, slow moving, and just started slightly tipping the bucket so that the soil could spill little by little versus him having just dumped the whole thing all at once. The soil/dirt we got was very good quality. It obviously isn't screened and fertilized/mixed like bagged potting soil, but overall it's good dirt. We ended up with 3 truckloads and took it out of the truck by the shovel full. Although there were a few hunks of clay and some very small pieces of mulch/wood, we did not see a single rock which was a pleasant surprise!
