So thanks to Covid hadn't had anyone in the house for 15 months and what happens on Easter Sunday? Absolute explosion of a drain issue. Coming out of two sinks, the dishwasher and the clothes washer. What could possibly be done? Called Sam at noon and while he said he was on another job he would be there as soon as possible. Three hours later? He was heading out with everything fixed. Gloved, masked, absolutely professional! Could not be more thankful and appreciative. Truly a wonderful experience in such a trying time. read more

Came without necessary tools, spent half a day going back and forth, at the end didn't fix the drain plug, but flooded the kitchen. Stay away. read more

Quick response time on a weekend and fair price to fix a kitchen sink clog that required a snake. Professional and courteous. Most importantly, they fixed it right the first time and sink now drains as it should. read more

I'm really appreciative to Sam who came out on a Saturday to help fix our toilet. He was nice on the phone, came out on time and did his very best to make sure that we were satisfied with his work. The toilet still has problems, but that's not Sam's fault. The issue was not with the plumber. He is great and a real 10. I highly recommend his work and him. read more

Since Dan's plumbing didn't return my call, Econo rooter actually answered the phone and was available to come and solve my clogged drain issue the same day. With my plumbing problem solved I was able to continue my day instead of waiting for Dan's plumbing to call me back. BTW, as I write this review I still haven't received a call from Dan's plumbing. Just call Econo rooter if you need someone immediately. read more

We had a blocked drain in the bathroom and Sam responded right away and was able to come within a few hours to help us. Excellent service all round and VERY reasonably priced. Highly recommend. read more

Unsurpassed quality drainage job at a fraction of the price that most plumbing companies charge (and a fixed price at that of $89.00 if no roof entry was required and $139 if it was), I called following flooding in my wash room and kitchen. In spite of it being Saturday afternoon and 100 degrees outside of my Sleepy Hollow home, the company came within two hours and had to use all of its 75 foot power rooter to unclog my drain pipe. The service man-owner of this company, who has recently moved to this area, personally came and made things as comfortable for me as possible. While his 5-Star YELP rating and fixed price fee drew me to him, his professionalism, proficiency, timeliness and commitment to leaving me as a fully satisfied customer has endeared him to my list of permanent service providers. The most difficult part of interacting with him was getting him to accept a most deserved tip. Kudos all the way. Unbeatable. Ron L read more

Sam, the owner, came out within the hour to help with my emergency on his day off (washing machine flooding into the garage due to clogged line). Not only was Sam THE ONLY ONE who had the time to come out (yes, everyone else was too busy to help and I went down the yelp line to frantically find someone), but he fixed the problem in no time at all. Excellent in customer and technical service. Don't even bother calling the others- call Econo Rooter (Sam) first. Oh and BTW- this is why he has 5 stars ! read more

Sam just came over to look at the backwash from the washer drain. This has been a continual problem and the backwash at the washer worsened with the kitchen faucet running. Since there is no clean out, he decided to run the snake through the opening at the roof above the kitchen. We have to deal this same problem over our 20+ years at this older house, he is the first to clear from the top of the kitchen. Previous plumbers/rooters cleared from the roof above the garage where the washer is and the solution had always be short-lived. The first try in snaking created backwash of dark smelly water in the garage. The second try with a new brace at the snake did the work. Sam was thorough and checked drainage at the kitchen sink and the washer before he left. Hopefully, it would be a while before we have to clear the drain again. All done in 1.5 hour and his charge was very reasonable. He also suggested getting a plumber to put a clean out at the kitchen so it does not have to be so messy and back up to the garage in the future. Thank you, Sam. read more

I called Econo Rooter and spoke to Samson, who I think might be the owner. He was really friendly. On a Sunday it's hard to get somebody to come out to your house. I needed it done by about 10 AM and he was at my house by 9:45. He took care of a clogged toilet and was very pleasant about the whole thing. His price was cheaper than the competition and he was most accommodating. Two thumbs up. read more

I had a problem with a clogged drain. I called a local plumbing company and was told that the soonest they could schedule a plumber to come out to my house was in four days. I then called Econo Rooter and they were able to come out to my house the next day. Sam arrived and realized that the solution would require them to snake the drain from a vent in my roof. He was able to quickly call another company employee to come and assist him with moving the equipment to the roof and the drain was cleared within 30 minutes. Both employees wore masks and practiced safe distancing. I paid a reasonable price for the work. If a have a similar drain clogging problem in the future, Econo Rooter will be the first company I call. read more

As I read in one of the reviews they actually answered the phone themselves and made an appointment with me for the following day. They also came on time. I had a clogged shower and even though most things in this house are not easy, Sam kept going until the drain was completely clear. I am am grateful and his charge was less than I've paid in many years. Thank you Econo Rooter. I will call on you again and again. Sherry from Corte Madera. read more

I'm so happy!! I called Sam and less than an hour later he was here and he fixed a clogged toilet! On a Saturday!!!! He's my hero! He's fast, efficient, pleasant and gets the job done! read more

Called Sam, he was able to come out within two hours for a blocked drain. He was able to clear the drain however........ When he reconnected the plumbing under the sink, he cross threaded the slip nut and the P trap. Therefore the plumbing was leaking. I called him back to fix the problem. He did come back immediately, then called me and told me that he tightened everything and the leak was fixed. A few minutes later, the tenant called to tell me that the pipe was still leaking. I went to to my rental and found that the plumbing had not been put back together properly. Therefore I had to reconnect the plumbing correctly. Obviously I am not satisfied with the service of ECONO Rooter. read more

Called Sam in the morning and he came right over to solve a clogged kitchen sink for us. He fixed the problem quickly and gave me some advice for next time. Would happy hire them again! read more

You get five stars on Yelp when you're a rooter service that comes out last minute on a Sunday and when the homeowner has guests in town and toilets and drains that stop working as a result. I can't say any of us were smiling throughout the process but again, fast service, quality work and the savior factor conspire to make this a Yelp-worthy event. Would definitely call again. read more

I finally called Econo Rooter about two clogged drains that I had ignored for a few weeks. Sam came right out and cleared them on the spot. Very reasonably priced, why did I wait? read more

Sam was great. I really appreciate that the flat fee that was quoted was just that, no bait & switch and no aggressive up sell. Even when I asked if we needed to go a step further with additional services he assured me that they would be unnecessary. read more

This past weekend, I was notified that a drain on our property was clogged and needed immediate repair. Being that it was a holiday weekend, the service I generally use was closed...so I went to Yelp in search of another provider. I left a message at Econo Rooter, but feared that they would be closed as well. I was immediately called by 'Sam' at Econo. I explained the problem, and within an hour, they were on the property and repaired the damage. While there, they also checked other lines to ensure that they were not clogged as well. Sam went "above and beyond" in my opinion. His price was fair and he was a pleasure to deal with!!! I cannot recommend him higher for any drain-related needs you may have. read more

This company was very helpful. they were able to get a plumber out to me 2 houtrs after I called. the plumber was helpful...he figured out the problem and took care of it. He also cleaned the areas up when he was finished, which not every plumber would do. I would recommend this company. read more

We had an emergency back up at 5:00 - an hour before the busiest time of week at our establishment. Sam arrived in 30 minutes and was quickly able to get his truck near the clean out. The drain to the sewer lateral was long, but Sam was able to snake it, find the blockage (a bunch of paper towels) and get the job done quickly. I highly recommend. read more

We experienced a completely clogged main line out to the sewer this morning, caused by the roots of the sycamore tree in our front yard. We needed a plumber right away! We called Econo Rooter and spoke to Sam who told us he could be at our house to help us within an hour. Actually it took him only a half hour! And a mere 30 minutes after he arrived, he had us all fixed, and for a reasonable price. I strongly recommend Econo Rooter! read more

Sam came out on a Saturday to clear a blockage in my main line to the street. Sam is a plumber who specializes in drain lines (snaking). I just used his services for the second time, and again he did a great job. He was able to help me on the same day I called. When he got here at the agreed time, he was courteous and efficient. His flat fee for a house call has gone up a little, but I think he is still very reasonable. I hope I don't need Sam again soon, but if I do, I won't shop around. read more

Toilet was badly plugged around 9:00 AM, naturally on a Sunday. Tried augur, which didn't work. Called Econo Rooter around 9:30. Service completed by 10:30, and toilet works once more. We are more than satisfied. I was in fact shocked at how quickly we were able to get service. Definitely recommend highly. read more

I called at 4 in the afternoon and he came the next morning at 10. He was very straight forward on the phone and did just what he said he would. The person who came was the owner who also answered the phone the day before. We had a clog just 7 months before and i asked about that and he asked some smart questions and helped me realize that we had not lint sock on the washing machine which is likely a problem. When "RoRo" came out 7 months ago they told us to stop putting food down the disposal. I would call Econo Rooter again if I had the problem, but he left saying that he hopes I don't need him again but that there was a 30 day warranty. I was happy all around and he was a pleasure. read more

They weren't called until 4pm and came to fix my plugged toilet at 5:45pm with no after hours fee. In fact, the job was done well and cheap. If you're in Marin, this is your plumbing service company. read more

Sam is an example of the very best kind of service provider -- he answered the phone when I called, said he could come out later that morning and showed up EARLY for the job. Our kitchen sink started to back up the previous night, and after 2 hours of troubleshooting it ourselves, we knew we had to call in a pro. Sam spent 5 hours trying to unclog our kitchen sink, including a run to three different stores in an attempt to find a special tool to open our clean out. He persevered and got the job done, after most people would have called it quits. He also charged me for the job, not the hours he spent trying to unclog my sink. I would give him 10 stars if I could!! We highly recommend Sam and will call him if we have future drain issues. read more
