Nestled beneath an old growth canopy draped with Spanish moss and surrounded by a variety of camellias, sits an old Victorian-style home (1897) that is sure to capture your imagination. We didn't stay at the bed and breakfast, but still enjoyed a delightful bite to eat, some refreshing peach tea, wonderful hospitality and best of all, stories. The owners, Scotty and Cathy, live in the home. Scotty was a wonderful host and provided an overview of the home's past, detailed accounts of odd occurrences and pictures of unexplained aberrations. Scotty is a collector and has many of his prized items on display throughout the home. Scotty and Cathy have done a great job preserving the home, its legacy and the charm that is Monticello, FL. In summary, I am glad we went and plan to visit again.

Scott and Cathy are wonderful hosts and we just enjoyed sitting and talking with them. The history of this place is pretty cool too! There is a lot to see in the main house and it just has a very chill vibe. We ate dinner in the main house and I tell you, Cathy sure can cook! We enjoyed every meal she made. She even sells a cook book of her recipes! This really is a hidden gem! It is walking distance to down town Monticello which offers some great places to eat and shop. They have wonderful antique stores, a fabulous coffee shop and a little bakery with some of the best treats. It's really a nice little escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life

One of the finest & most expensive hotels in Thomasville, Georgia. Conveniently located in downtown…read moreand a walk away from churches, restaurants, shops, and attractions. It was close to all the places we needed to go in Thomasville. I loved the new furnishings and the spacious ambience of the hotel. At $110 a night, it is on the pricey side. We stayed two nights. We liked how impressive and clean our room was upon entering. The sensor light in the large mirror at the entrance was a nice touch. The bathroom shower was modern and the long shower there was a relief. There were very few to no concerns. I looked in the closet to use a spare throw blanket. I found spare bed sheets and a pillow with a blood spot. They have a Keurig coffee machine and coffee inside the room, a fridge, and microwave are free amenities inside the room, yet there is no free breakfast and coffee downstairs. They do have a small Shoppette to buy necessities and bistro to buy meals & drinks in the lobby. Two large hot coffees in the lobby cost us $18. The menu looked good yet expensive as well. We opted eating the snacks & food we had on us and buying a quick ready meal from Publix. If you want to stay a walk away from certain places and attractions in downtown, this hotel is very ideal & convenient.

This place screams luxury. Parking is awkward but the rooms are spacious and comfy. Extra seating…read moreand space. Small fridge did the job. Water pressure and temp was perfect. Bed perfect. Eating available downstairs and coffee costs but handy. Nearby most of your travel needs.

Check-in was a breeze and they honor govt discounts unlike the Thomasville Hampton Inn which was 2x the cost. Parking and Wi-Fi are free. I even got sweet potato chips and water as a Hiltons Honor perk! The rooms are tastefully appointed with a sink, microwave and mini-fridge, lots of drawer space and nice toiletries. There's a large flat screen TV with HBO unlike Best Western or Holiday Inn which have no premium channels. I appreciated the luggage rack, dining tray, work station for my laptop and roomy shower with good water pressure. There's a night-light in the restroom! I did struggle a bit with adjusting the temperature. But my room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. I even had a view of the lake! I welcomed the free breakfast, particularly the fresh fruit cup, yogurt and pour your own waffles. The dining area was clean but the staff was a bit chatty. They ran out of waffle batter and sausage at 8am. It was refilled but the wait meant I had to eat in a rush. In a perfect world, the hotel would have a 1pm late checkout option and hardwood floors or pet-free rooms for the allergy prone. But you can't have it all! Overall, great stay. I recommend and will return!

Even though this Best Western has a "no pet" policy they accommodated me because state law requires it. I found this hotel to be very clean, the rooms large, breakfast good, and all my needs met. They, and a couple of other staff, were friendly and helpful. Since this was during CoVid, masks were required. The dining area was closed, but coffee was available. We had a room on the first floor, facing a beautiful courtyard. The window overlooked the parking lot, which had many parking spots. The room was big, and well lit. In addition to bedside wall lamps, a lamp was on a table by the sleeper sofa and easy chair. We also had an office chair, and high backed chair. When we walked into the room, we turned on the ceiling light. During the night, when we made our nightly trips to the bathroom (with necessary amenities of soaps, make up remover, lotion and conditioner), we were thankful for the orange light on the blow dryer. We used the medium sized fridge, but did not make the coffee that was provided. We did not need the microwave, but we were glad it was there - just in case. We used the clock radio and flat screen TV, which had excellent reception. The wifi was also good. We did not use the fitness room or pool, and both looked very nice. Since the dining area was closed, In the morning we were offered "breakfast to go" - which was good. I chose an orange & the box of frosted mini wheats. I could have had Frosted Flakes or two other boxed cereals. We were offered other items, including granola bars, but I can't remember them all. Husband had two of the breakfast burritos (excellent - eggs, sausage & peppers in burrito), and we each had juice (3 kinds to choose from). Juices were next to the cooler containing yogurts and milk cartons. A note nearby asked us to use a napkin for all handles and knobs to remain sanitary. For a quick breakfast, it was good and filling. We ate comfortably in our room. Atul offered tissues to us when we checked out. He apologized when we told him that we had none in our room. We used some we'd brought with us. He also offered more breakfast items or burritos for the road, but we were full. We will definitely stay here when we return to this part of FL.

When we got to the room I was overwhelmed by all of the amenities not even listed within the website. We got a room with 2 double beds so the room was large. There was in the room: Fridge, microwave, one cup-at-a-time coffeemaker with 2 regulars & 2 decafs, creamer, etc., a hair dryer, iron & ironing board, closet, hangers, 2 "desk" areas & Direct TV (which we have at home so loved this) on a nice 35-ish inch TV. Free Wifi. The bathroom was immaculate and had vanity kit (Q-tips, nail file, & cotton ball), 3 soaps, shampoo & cream rinse, plenty of towels. It looked brand new as the room did! The white duvets are lovely & the sheets were also. 4 pillows on each bed. The bed spreads (the white duvets) are washed between each guest stayover & the room was so clean, nice & relaxing. The beds were so comfy I layed down in late after noon to relax a few minutes & fell asleep so beware of these comfy beds if you have to stay awake lol. Thermostat on the wall to control cooling so our room was kept just a WE liked it. The pool was OPEN & looked like it was new. New furniture, plants, & hardscape. Pool goes to 5' deep & is a nice size. The hut-tub/spa was really nice & if you need to relax get in! Please no bottles in pool area just cans. There is a handicap lift for handicapped folks who would like a swim! There is a covered smoking area with a bench to sit & a thing to put butts in by the pool area. Downstairs in lobby there is coffee made & all creamers, sugars, etc., so you'll never be without. Right now there is no Continental Breakfast due to the pandemic, but there are 2 snack stands if you need a bag of chips or some cookies to tide you over. Also sodas & beers. Prices are marked up on these items but hey aren't they usually. A big Thank You to Hampton Inn for a short trip to Thomasville & making our stay there perfect.
