I rate hotels based on quality for price. Rooms were clean, not a noisy area, adequate breakfast.

Pleasant staff, clean room and continental breakfast. Was perfect for what we needed, a place to sleep before continuing our journey.

It may be a bit pricey but my experience was so nice. I walked in and even the guests at the Hotel were so nice to me and everyone treated me amazing. There is FREE breakfast and it was served well. The hotel followed every CDC rules and I felt that they were serious about the comfort of their guests. The ONLY downside is the Hotels near downtown is next to a bar or club not too sure of the name. Usually at night you can hear the music from your room and that may interfere with your sleep. As for me, I just found a way to work with the noise because I couldn't pass up the Hotel experience. This Hotel really goes above and beyond to make sure that they're providing 5 star services. I want to thank this Hotel for answering my questions when I had plenty and treated me amazing.

It was extremely uncomfortable and unsanitary. When I went to the front desk, I was told the hotel was completely sold out and there were no other rooms available. The only solution they offered was to give me fresh sheets, and the staff acted like they were doing me a favor instead of addressing a basic cleanliness issue. For a Hampton property, I expected a much higher standard. Clean sheets and a clean bed should be the minimum. Unfortunately, this stay fell far short of that.

The drive was quiet and the driver was kind as well. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed while we got checked in. She was patient and answered any and all questions we had. She even made suggestions on a few places (in addition to the spots in the hotel) to eat at while we were there. I can't seem to find the rest of the pictures I took of the room and lobby but everything was clean and smelled nice. I think other hotels should follow suite and rid of the nasty carpet in the rooms. I have no complaints about our stay. I will be returning to stay at this location during my next visit.

I went to the front desk and they moved us to a new room. The new room also had the same issue as the baseboard the very well but at this point, we were tired so we just decided to stay. Once my husband turned on the shower he realized why the baseball is for let and involved be in the spot. Apparently, when the housekeeper clean the shower, they don't turn the shower off off to face the shower wall instead is out of the shower and in the direct direction of the wall and baseboard has copying it to get wet when you go in the shower. Other than that, the rooms were clean a location is great. I love having the park across the street and the hotel is dog, friendly, nice and attentive.

The TV is too small for the space and not on par with hotels at this price point. The shower is dingy. Requested service at 7am. Was told "ok". Did not happen. I'm very reasonable and understanding, but this place really tested my patience. We stayed here July 30-Aug 2 I want to start with the positive. The staff are THE NICEST and sweetest people. If it wasn't for them, I would've went off. I hope you all are paying your employees well. They deserve it. Now the negative. 1. We booked this hotel maybe in late march/April for my FSU graduation in July. Upon arriving to the hotel we discover it's undergoing construction. The gym, cafe, the pantry room where the only microwave is (I used this last time during my school trip), and other areas in the hotel were off limits. Concerning but okay. I wasn't expecting that. Notifying guests beforehand and offering SOMETHING to the guests for the inconvenience would've been nice. 2. Our room floor was soaked by the ac/window. We just avoided that area. 3. The Jacob's by the Plaza, not great. I'll leave them a review next. It's the only restaurant there, everything closes near this hotel so there are no reasonable food options for a family. We get here at 9:20 pm, restaurant signage says they close at 10pm. WRONG. They close at 9:10pm, bar is open until 10. Couldn't even get to-go orders. Also, they were out of coffee/espresso this morning?? I couldn't order an iced latte! The cafe is under construction, and now this restaurant has no iced lattes?? Why is it on the menu? Lastly, the hours are not correct dinner starts at 6pm and ends at 9:10 pm. Misleading info 4. Our hotel door at times struggled to budge. You have to yank it or push it very hard to open and close it. 5. The ac in the hotel was off?? We walked in and it was so hot. Why was it off?? Luckily the ac in our room worked fine . 6. Checkout is 11am. We have do not disturb on our door. Why did 3 or 4 staff come by, knocking non stop on our door, asking us to"when are yall leaving". It happened between the times of 9am-10am. We were trying to eat our breakfast that I got from downstairs. Would they have went in our room, before we checked out, and start cleaning it if we weren't there. Why were they rushing us? I've never had that happen before. Never. This experience was very frustrating when we were trying to eat and pack and handle our toddler. Reason for the deduction of points in service. 7. There were no cookies, I even got an automated text requesting I pick some up, but there were none. I've always seen cookies at DoubleTree so this was odd. I'm very disappointed in this experience. I stayed here maybe a year ago for a school trip, and it was great. I am very upset that nothing was communicated before the stay and that nothing was offered to guests for the inconveniences. 1 thing we can deal with, but how is most of the hotel not accessible and we still pay the full price for a terrible experience? We tried to stay positive because we celebrated my graduation from FSU for my masters, but this did negatively impact my experience.

What went well: the customer service is exceptional. They are kind, accommodating, attentive, and friendly. You get 50% off of valet, 2 complimentary drinks at the rooftop bar, delicious , complimentary breakfast buffet, AND $25 off 347 Grill/Shula's Steakhouse. They spoiled me so much, I'm going to expect this type of treatment everywhere! The beds are really comfortable. Improvements: The toilets don't flush well. I had to switch rooms bc the toilet in my first room clogged. The glass doors and sinks in the bathrooms are cloudy and look worn with watermarks. The bathroom showers have stains and what looks to be mold in them... additionally, there's very little privacy when using the restroom bc the doors don't have proper sealing and are thin, glass... Next morning I walked into breakfast area, they had a big board behind the buffet and coffee machine that said "latte, cappuccino" listed a bunch of drinks ... but no barista. so I looked around for who might make a coffee. Took about 5 minutes to find someone who worked there. I asked "who do I ask for a latte?" And she says me! So I order vanilla latte. No vanilla. but she offered caramel. I said sure and asked for oatmilk. No oatmilk but she offered almond. I figured I'd try it. Also asked for a to go box for some fruit because we were in a hurry. She asked for my breakfast voucher ticket. The woman the night before said nothing about a voucher. So I had to run back to the front desk, stand in line for another 5 minutes or so , to get the voucher. (Why wasn't it given to us at check in??) All this time my husband is waiting in the car bc we are late. I go back to get the latte and fruit. As i had her the voucher she says the latte isn't covered by a voucher and I'll need to pay for that ‍ The board has no prices, and it's right behind the breakfast bar. And she told me I'd need a voucher right after I ordered, but didn't mention it wouldn't cover the latte? Annoying experience. Besides that the hotel was so so. A bit dated and musty. The AC was SO loud. Parking was easy.

The friendly desk had already upgraded us to a king suite as a platinum member. The room was typical of other king suites that we have stayed at in Fairfield Inns. The…read moreparking lot sits high from the road so be cautious pulling in and out or you'll bottom out and tear your bumper off. Immediate reaction walking in - we were hit with a very strong bleach smell so were thinking at least it smells clean. Noticed the carpet in the lobby was kind of dirty/needed to be vacuumed. Had no issues with checking in as the manager was training a new clerk at the desk. Checked out the pool and workout room before going up to our rooms. There is an indoor pool; however, the pool looked dirty and needed to be cleaned and looked like it had damage to finish which was green and gross looking. We didn't plan on swimming so that was what it was. The workout room was small and we couldn't even take a step in due to the smell - musty/moldy. Ok- so not working out here. Up to our rooms and they look okay. Looks like it was probably remodeled a few years ago. Could see that it wasn't the best kept place. Trying not to get hung up too bad but the white towels weren't too bright - thinking it was probably just older towels. Room had no charging stations which had become a standard in most places. AC worked great, like an icebox. Next, sat on the beds - AWFUL squeaking. I see what looks like a dog's toenail on the bedding and decide, let's check the mattress. Something feels off and I usually check for bed bugs when traveling. I pulled the blanket and sheets, removed TWO sets of mattress protectors, AND a folded blanket covering the mattress under the protector, to find STAINS - gross, filthy, disgusting stains covering the whole mattress. Obviously being covered up instead of cleaning or replacing. The springs were broken in the mattress and could be felt poking up. The second mattress was also stained but not nearly as bad. We immediately left the room and told the manager the reason we were leaving, showing him photos. He very nonchalantly said "okay" without apologizing or showing any concern - probably because he knows. Only reason I gave a 2 star instead of 1 star is they refunded the rooms without any issues. This is just not acceptable for any hotel. We moved to another hotel north of this area and the difference was huge. East Tallahassee is obviously not the best area to stay, which we didn't know coming in from out of town but guessed based on the hip hop chicken joint next door and adult store across the street. North was awesome with tons of restaurants and shopping nearby.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee I-10 feels a little like a first date where someone says all…read morethe right things online, then shows up wearing cargo shorts and low enthusiasm. Not terrible. Not amazing. Just... aggressively average. The location is convenient, the hotel is generally clean, and everything technically works. Which, these days, weirdly feels like grading on a curve. But the property is definitely showing its age and could use an update. You can almost hear the furniture whispering, "We were installed during a different presidential administration." The staff experience was also a mixed bag. Some employees were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Others had the emotional warmth of a self-checkout kiosk. Housekeeping is every two days, which I know has become more common, but still feels a little strange when you're paying hotel prices and hoping at minimum someone acknowledges the existence of your trash can. Honestly, I was leaning toward two stars for most of the stay. Then on the way out, I met who I believe was the associate manager, Charles (I hope I remembered his name correctly). Friendly, personable, engaging... the kind of interaction that reminds you customer service used to actually be a thing. He genuinely brightened my morning and, no joke, added an entire star to this review by himself. Which raises a bigger question: Why has friendliness become such a rare luxury item lately? Especially when there's no line, no chaos, no stress... just another human standing in front of you. It costs nothing to be kind, but somehow it's become the hardest amenity to find. So overall, I'm landing at three stars. An underwhelming stay rescued at the finish line by one good human interaction. And honestly? Charles deserves a raise and possibly his own rewards program tier.
