    Bathtub mold

The room was dirty, bathroom had mold. The bed had brown debris that looked like dead bugs. They also refused to refund me the full amount for my stay.

    Barf? Food? Mystery to me

Don't do it. Triple digits heat; slept in my clothes on top of the bed with what I could find in my car. Sticky Floors, dirty towels, cigarette smelling everything, cloudy pool, used soap lingering in the shower, very little toilet paper, what looks like barf on the bed skirt, shower water freezing than hot as hell. Nice owners, but slow, likely needing extra help-working on repairs or something late into the evening-had to call & complain (ugh ) , we are pretty easy-going hippy ladies wanting to treat ourselves: BAD Mistake ...all for over $100; location is everything! If you have options and you want basics...look around or sleep in the car. Not worth it.

Hair on the bed. Welcome to Econo-lodge!

Without a doubt, the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in in the United States. Was forced into this location for a work event. Within hours, I discovered hair on the bed, filthy showers, and a wall so flimsy that I heard every word said by my neighbors. The bed was hard and squeaked with even the most minor movement. Broken microwave, broken smoke alarm, bizarre DIY paint job. The place is in disarray, with random junk heaped all over. Worst of all, the staff was apathetic/rude during both check-in and check out. I can't believe they charge people to stay here; they would have to pay me a significant sum to sleep there again. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Curtains don't close all the way and there's a bright light right outside

Gross. It's the econo lodge so expectation aren't high but this place was a low. I would give it one star the price is reasonable... barely. First there was a bat hanging around the outside of my room, I had to wait for it to leave before I opened the door, it's not really a ding on the hotel because it's just nature. As I walk into the room the first thing I notice is the light switch is blocked by a power cord. I would unplug it but who knows what riff raff is around here. So I close the door and I still get light into the room, what nonsense is this where the door doesn't reach the floor! Let me close the curtains, we'll those don't close all the way. Great.. who doesn't enjoy street lights shinning into the room all night...I do not! Everything is just not feeling great so far I realize there vinyl is a recent update but I would still like a rug or something soft to walk on. Maybe the improvements are not finished because there were many vinyl tiles just laying there not connected. This is a terrible floor update. The subfloor isn't level and it is very apparent with these floors. I made the same mistake in my house and fixed it because it does not feel good at all. Updating the carpet would have been a better choice, but maybe water seeping from the HUGE gap under door doesn't do well with carpet. Time to shower... a hot and cold knob? We are decades past this. Maybe make some improvements here too. Makes me wonder how bad the floors were if they were changed before the plumbing. This place doesn't have to be this bad. Clean up the floor issues, make some electrical improvements for your cameras, update the bath to this century. Small details, maybe put in around $500-$1000 of improvements into each room and this place would be worth every penny maybe even desirable. Right now it just feels and looks icky. I do not recommend this place as it is today.

    More stains on wall

Do not stay here unless every other hotel in town has burnt down and you are out of gas and money

The room we had this eco lodge was filthy. Everything else in tow was booked or we would have left. The carpets were badly stained in the walkways. The tub had no skid pads so my daughter slipped and fell and lucky disnt get hurt. Very disappointed and won't stay again.

    Roaches

Passing through Fallon and needed a place to rest for the night on our drive back to Sacramento, the Econo lodge was one of the only hotels with a room available. After checking in and inspecting our "clean" room, We decided to give it a chance since it was only for the night. However after a roach crawled across the bed beside my face there was no way we could stay. We contacted the manager who said he would "check" it out and give us another room. As soon as he came over he already seemed irritated as if we were making a big deal. I showed him where the roach was on the bed and also the photos I took and he brushed it off by saying it's summer and normal for roaches to come out and they "spray" daily. He offered to move us to another room which we declined and asked for a refund seeing as we were going to sleep in our car. He refused and said it was our problem if we didn't want another room. My family and I have been on a road trip for three weeks from Cali to Texas and back and have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such rude and unprofessional service. Please be ware that the staff does not care and the rooms are definitely not clean.

There's a full bar next door to wet your whistle. We both ordered fish, blackened snapper and salmon. As you can see by the cleaned plates we enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent.

I was passing through the small town of Fallon, Nevada along driving The Loneliest Road in America…read more I had read that this.....the Overland Hotel was a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in exploring Fallon. After getting my Loneliest Road Survival Guide stamped at the Fallon Convention Center, I thought....why not stop by the Overland Hotel and check it out! It's situated right on the corner of historic Maine Street. It can't be missed. On the roof of the place....it simply says...."Hotel"....lol, that's how "old school" this hotel appeared to be. Also, the entire exterior was painted brick red with a little white awning hanging from the 2nd floor. My initial thought was that this hotel was gonna be a real vintage throwback. And that's exactly how I'd describe the Overland Hotel. In all, it's a combined hotel, restaurant, bar, lounge and saloon all mixed into one iconic landmark. Entering inside....the whole vibe and feel certainly oozed of your typical "dive bar". A no frills, classic bar and saloon dedicated to the blue collar folks out there. I would also slightly describe the ambiance like an old western saloon.....yet I had seen a lot better cowboy saloons along my Loneliest Road journey....especially in playful Virginia City, Nevada. Regardless, I did sit down and grab a drink at the bar. Overall, it was nice, an okay/decent moment to stretch out my legs, relax and unwind after many hours on the road. I would assume the hotel is a vintage type of place to stay as well, blending into the whole "old fashioned" theme. For me, I was content to have had a chance to discover this Overland Hotel as a fine roadside stop in Fallon. For anyone else interested in checking out some other attractions in Fallon, I'd recommend passing by the Naval Air Station (supposedly home of the Top Gun Training facility). Also a few miles just east of town along The Loneliest Road was Sand Mountain Recreation Area.....a unique and desolate spot with land-piles of sand and hills to wander, roam around and explore upon.....similar to but not nearly as majestic as Great Sand Dunes National Park near Alamosa, Colorado.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Holiday Inn Express Fallon, NV -- BE WARNED…read more I made a reservation weeks in advance for a suite at this location to accommodate my family of five. Three days prior to check-in, I was contacted by the hotel informing me that they would not be able to honor my reservation because no suites were available. Their only proposed "solution"? To book two separate rooms at a higher price than my original reservation -- completely unacceptable. Not only did they refuse to honor the rate I had originally booked, but when I reached out to IHG's corporate support team, I was met with indifference and zero accountability, despite IHG's widely advertised Reservation Guarantee policy. Because of their incompetence and refusal to honor my confirmed reservation, I am now scrambling to find alternative accommodations with only one day left before arrival. To make matters worse, this is a holiday weekend (July 4th), so hotel prices have skyrocketed due to low supply and high demand -- something that could have been entirely avoided had Holiday Inn Express simply stood by their commitment. This kind of bait-and-switch tactic is not only unethical, but it leaves loyal IHG customers completely stranded. I will absolutely reconsider staying at any Holiday Inn Express or IHG property in the future based on this experience. Travelers -- book elsewhere if you value reliability, customer service, or peace of mind.
