Had very little in the way of options due to a last minute business trip. They could even get the TV to work. No offer to swap equipment for move me to a different room. Walls so thin the person in the next room felt like he was standing next to me. Only have a few more hours in this Bates motel. Had to run to Walmart for Lysol. Musty odor. I will stay the evening clerk tried to get the tv to work but she mentioned several rooms have the same problem. Perhaps hotel didn't pay dish bill. read more

Don't do it. Triple digits heat; slept in my clothes on top of the bed with what I could find in my car. Sticky Floors, dirty towels, cigarette smelling everything, cloudy pool, used soap lingering in the shower, very little toilet paper, what looks like barf on the bed skirt, shower water freezing than hot as hell. Nice owners, but slow, likely needing extra help-working on repairs or something late into the evening-had to call & complain (ugh ) , we are pretty easy-going hippy ladies wanting to treat ourselves: BAD Mistake ...all for over $100; location is everything! When you get overpowered by air freshener upon entering a room, you know something isn't right. One of the dirtiest, least upkept rooms I've ever experienced. The bottoms of our feet were nearly black after just a few minutes walking around the room after settling in. Borrowed a swiffer mop and a broken bottle of spray cleaner from the desk to try and improve it. Didn't bother to shower, too gross. The A/C unit looked like a dingy relic from a bygone era. I understand budget motels, but CLEAN is a bare minimum here. read more

Without a doubt, the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in in the United States. Was forced into this location for a work event. Within hours, I discovered hair on the bed, filthy showers, and a wall so flimsy that I heard every word said by my neighbors. The bed was hard and squeaked with even the most minor movement. Broken microwave, broken smoke alarm, bizarre DIY paint job. The place is in disarray, with random junk heaped all over. Worst of all, the staff was apathetic/rude during both check-in and check out. Sorry guys, worst hotel ever. I would leave zero stars if that was an option. The room had not been cleaned, simply tidied up to 'look clean.' Here is a list of the disgusting conditions we encountered. -The floors were black with grime (we used a wet towel to clean along the floor and it was BLACK. -There was a shoe print in one of the beds -One of the pillow cases had lipstick and makeup on it. -Keys didn't work -Internet didn't work -Phone line literally cut -The shower soap dish had pubic hairs -Sound of dripping water from the air conditioner kept us up at night. -'Free Breakfast' consisted of expired hostess cupcakes/twinkies, and stale bargain brand 'fruit loops' and 'raisin bran'. Gross. It's the econo lodge so expectation aren't high but this place was a low. I would give it one star the price is reasonable... barely. First there was a bat hanging around the outside of my room, I had to wait for it to leave before I opened the door, it's not really a ding on the hotel because it's just nature. As I walk into the room the first thing I notice is the light switch is blocked by a power cord. I would unplug it but who knows what riff raff is around here. So I close the door and I still get light into the room, what nonsense is this where the door doesn't reach the floor! Let me close the curtains, we'll those don't close all the way. Great.. who doesn't enjoy street lights shinning into the room all night...I do not! Everything is just not feeling great so far I realize there vinyl is a recent update but I would still like a rug or something soft to walk on. Maybe the improvements are not finished because there were many vinyl tiles just laying there not connected. This is a terrible floor update. The subfloor isn't level and it is very apparent with these floors. I made the same mistake in my house and fixed it because it does not feel good at all. Updating the carpet would have been a better choice, but maybe water seeping from the HUGE gap under door doesn't do well with carpet. Time to shower... a hot and cold knob? We are decades past this. Maybe make some improvements here too. Makes me wonder how bad the floors were if they were changed before the plumbing. This place doesn't have to be this bad. Clean up the floor issues, make some electrical improvements for your cameras, update the bath to this century. Small details, maybe put in around $500-$1000 of improvements into each room and this place would be worth every penny maybe even desirable. Right now it just feels and looks icky. I do not recommend this place as it is today. read more

OK folks, let's face it... this is an Econo Lodge... you get what you pay for. If the room and beds are clean and the TV works, that is about all you should expect. For me, that was the case. I didn't look at the pool (too cold out) and I never even bothered turning on the TV. But I got a good night's rest, a hot shower in the morning, and I was happy with the price. Yes, the place is a bit run-down, but that is alright too, so long as the above criteria are kept up. As someone else said...if you want the Marriott, go to the Marriott. read more

One Star because I couldn't give it a zero. I stayed there on one other occasion because I was coming in late and needed a place to crash. Rooms are clean enough (barley) but old and look nothing like the pictures they show. Office staff is incompetent. This trip I made a reservation for the following evening and the gentleman I spoke to apparently booked the wrong evening, when I arrived the following afternoon they didn't have a room for me, and said my reservation was for the prior evening and said I was a no show and charged me for the room anyway. The manager refused to rectify the situation and refused to cancel the charge. (Their mistake, wouldn't admit to it, wouldn't reverse the charges). The room we had this eco lodge was filthy. Everything else in tow was booked or we would have left. The carpets were badly stained in the walkways. The tub had no skid pads so my daughter slipped and fell and lucky disnt get hurt. Very disappointed and won't stay again. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I drove 10 hours in from California after working 10 hours, and calling the hotel at 7:00 the night of checkin to let them know that I would not be there until the middle of the morning. Nothing was said to me that I had to check in by 4am or my reservation would be canceled. I got to the hotel at about 4:05 and was told that my reservation had been cancelled and I would have to pay for tonight. When I explained that I had called, the gentleman got his son who then told me there was nothing they could do because it was reserved through Expedia. A younger woman then came out and got very irate with me saying it was my fault for checking in after 4am! I contacted Expedia, who contacted the hotel, and the woman told Expedia she refused to rent to me! Expedia was great and refunded my money, but I highly recommend no one stay here! They are incredibly rude and mean. My nephew who's in the Navy (and who we are here to visit as he just had a baby) will be letting all the military guys know not to stay there, or have anyone book there! I can not believe how I was treated by them! I will never book there again! read more

Passing through Fallon and needed a place to rest for the night on our drive back to Sacramento, the Econo lodge was one of the only hotels with a room available. After checking in and inspecting our "clean" room, We decided to give it a chance since it was only for the night. However after a roach crawled across the bed beside my face there was no way we could stay. We contacted the manager who said he would "check" it out and give us another room. As soon as he came over he already seemed irritated as if we were making a big deal. I showed him where the roach was on the bed and also the photos I took and he brushed it off by saying it's summer and normal for roaches to come out and they "spray" daily. He offered to move us to another room which we declined and asked for a refund seeing as we were going to sleep in our car. He refused and said it was our problem if we didn't want another room. My family and I have been on a road trip for three weeks from Cali to Texas and back and have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such rude and unprofessional service. Please be ware that the staff does not care and the rooms are definitely not clean. read more

I stayed here over this past weekend and while my expectations weren't too high, this place actually was a good place for the price. The room was clean, the check in was rather easy, and nothing hinky during my stay. I can't ask for anything more from a place for lodging. It is far from the regular places but within walking distance to The Nugget and a short driving distance to Fox Peak Cinemas, which is the new place in town for movie watching. The wireless internet connection was good. The bathroom was kept up very clean. The one thing which concerned was the bedside electrical connection. It would cut out every time I moved in the bed. That's NOT normal. Also, the parking is very tightly fitting. If you have a larger vehicle, park on the outer areas, so you'll be able to get out the next day. read more

One of the better hotels in Fallon, especially for the price. My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for the night since we were moving and all of our furniture was already packed and gone. Nevada is one of the few places we've stayed where smoking is still somewhat accepted, and finding a smoking room wasn't difficult. This hotel has an outdoor pool, but I wouldn't swim in it. For one, it is located right next to the road (and across from a bar) and although it looked clean...I didn't trust it. The room wasn't bad at all, and although it is between the two major roads in Fallon, it wasn't too noisy at all. Overall, not bad for the price! read more

If they had a negative star I would give them that. We made a reservation through BringFido, the ratings were 4 bones out of 5 and the photos looked ok. We arrived and the outside was run down, but we thought we would give it a chance. When we got the key to the room we went in and the bed cover was dirty and stained, the pillows were also dirty, we opened the covers and the sheets were not good either. The shower had mold growing in the caulking. When we brought our concerns to the front desk that we wanted our money back, he stated since we went through a third party they would have the refund the charge. The hotel did refund our pet fee. I called BringFido they said it would be up to the hotel to refund the money. This is unacceptable! If they would have provided a clean and sanitized room we would not have left. I will try to call the hotel manager tomorrow to see about getting a refund. What happened to customer service and making sure the customer is happy? read more

Stayed for two nights, service was terrible. I found left over beers in my fridge ,my buddy had someone else left over dinner in his fridge not to mention the terrible smell of cigarettes in the room. Oh the owner charged the full amount to my buddy's card after he was told not To several times , then tried to make use feel bad about it . Next I Got 36 bed bug bites . Yes I counted each blistering welt. When I told the owner he stared at me blankly . Then I waited for him to offer a refund and new room . And when he didn't offer I asked and he said no. We would have gone else where but nothing was available. He didn't offer a new room so I asked again and he reluctantly did. We got a new hotel the following day and when I got off work to check out he tried to charge us another day. ...,it was 11:30am yes after check out time . But this guy did not want to help us out . So finally I got a bit stern and told him he would at the bare minimum let us check out with out extra charge . Then 10 mins later he finally figured it out and we were not charged late check out. Now here I am with permanent scaring on my body spending hours trying to clean and sanitize my gear that I cannot replace and possibly and infestation in my home and my truck.... NEVER STAY HERE!!! Older hotel, but rooms are clean. Even grout in bathroom clean and unstained. Pillows sheets and covers are nice. There is a bit of language barrier, or I'm chalking it up to that. I came in a day early and asked if I could add on an extra day. I was told it was no problem. Unfortunately I didn't look at my receipt because they only charged me for the original 4 days. I was locked out and had to get additional night at premium price and extra charges. three more things wrong TV didn't work, had to call front desk to come fix. Dryer in bathroom didn't work. And extension cord that plugged in wall kept falling out and losing connection so I had to push mattress into plugs and cords in wall to keep charging my phone, that meant one side of mattress was off box spring. read more

I'm not very impressed. I considered that this being a Naval Air Station base area that the lodgings would be a bit better. Not. They offer Wi-Fi, but you should expect dialect network speeds. The refrigerator was not working. The temperature control knob was broken. There is a microwave, I did not try it. The parking lot is very, very small. I was sent to the " back lot", which is a dirt and gravel area with no lighting encompassing about a half a city block. Not very safe in my estimation. There is no Kleenex provided, although the toilet paper works. The complementary breakfast is served in a very small office, while you were standing. It consists of juice, coffee and morning breads. if you absolutely have to stop in Fallon, this would be OK. If you don't have to, don't do it. read more

Be careful. Accommodation is very comfortable, but watch the billing. Owner tried to charge me for being a no-show AND for the room I occupied. I called him when I discovered what I thought was a mistake, but he blamed me. He said I must have done "something wrong." He refused to fix the error. When I called corporate, the agent said you can't be both checked in and a no show. He reluctantly refunded the charge for being a no show (even though I was checked in). No apology. Maybe he is hoping guests don't pay close attention to the credit card statement. read more

Owner was just disrespectful. Paid ahead of time for four nights and he was extremely rude about how long that was. Toilet wouldn't flush at all.
