Budget travel is fraught with perils. You never know what you are going to get. The first thing I got was a friendly, happy man, who greeted me warmly and checked me in quickly. There's a little breakfast area next to the front desk. It was small, but bright and clean. The next thing I got was a well appointed and spotless room. The air conditioning wasn't on when I came in, which is a pet peeves of mine. But no complaints because the room cooled down in a few minutes. Some of the furniture is older but still in good condition. Some of it is new, including the mattresses, which are very comfortable. Don get me wrong; there's a reason it's the cheapest hotel in town. The building and parking lot are not in great repair, but they are very clean. There is a bit of a flop house-y vibe. Some of the guests are long term. However, they are quiet and polite and just going about their lives. You don't want to bring want to bring the kids and vacation here for a week. But if you are in town for a few days or passing through, it is a great place to stay. It is a hotel making a positive transition. You can tell that someone cares about this motel, probably the guy who checked me in. And I just want to tell that person, You are doing a great job. This place is going to be fantastic when you are done with it. Keep up the good work. One downside that just can't be fixed is that it is right next to the railroad and the trains whistle when they go by. Bummer.

On the way back to Texas from Colorado 5 days road trip, found this eco motel right exit the freeway through Yelp. Saw many cars park here, feel safe environment, decided to gave them a try, $75 plus tax, including breakfast. Got a clean queen bed room, A/c very minimum sound, clean restroom, complimentary coffee, iron and hair dryer, nice selection of movie choices, a pen and a note card by the bed. Don't worry about the train, it is really not bother our sleep, I m a very light sleeper, we only heard 1 time train sound around 12am, and not even loud, only few second pass through. The only motel that have offering nice western breakfast during this pandemic traveling trip! Owner couple are very nice and friendly, we check in around 11:30pm, he still welcome us with friendly attitude. Thank you for a clean nice economic motel that gave us a really nice rest for the rest of 10 hours drive back to Houston. The best clean motel with a reasonable price so far, pleasant stay like a 4 stars hotel :). Highly recommend!!

Not a bad hotel. It's in a bad location due to the trains passing by. I barely slept during my 9 hour stay.

Surprisingly nice little hotel! Clean, good beds! Could use a little touch-up, but nothing that I saw as major.

Stayed here twice (1st and last nights) of a recent motorcycle trip. As mentioned in other reviews,…read moreit appears the rooms have been remodeled relatively recently. Room was clean and had a lot of outlets which helped for charging devices. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. This is exactly what I would expect for around $120/night--especially since the Hampton Inn across the street is over $180. Not a lot of options nearby (walking distance) for food--but there is a good Mexican place (la Cabana) that is walkable. Ate there both nights. Very local and legit Mexican food.

Absolutely terrible experience. After we checked in we started walking down the hall and noticed…read morethat the carpeting was ripped up everywhere and there was instruction every room. When we got to our room it was noisy so we tried to contact the front desk and every time we called we a message saying that they were screening calls and would not accept our call. We walked to the front desk and spoke to the clerk who said the construction would end by 7 o'clock or 730 which is 30 or 60 minutes. At 8 o'clock we walked back to the front desk and the exact same clerk said that they did not know when the construction was going to be done. I said I was leaving and demanded a refund. After leaving a review the general manager left a remark saying that we would not be refunded because we used the room for 90 minutes. Avoid this hotel because they will overcharge you and it is a terrible experience.

We pulled in off the highway late while traveling across country…read more The parking lot and entrance is well lit and we were greeted by Lexi who had a huge smile on her face, very kind and informative. Since we were there for less than 12 hours, I'll just provide the pros and cons of what we experienced of the hotel below. The pros: *Large spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows which is a priority for us. Plenty of space for luggage, seating and a nice desk space. *Nice size modern bathroom and shower. Plenty of counter space. *Kitchenette area with microwave, Kurig coffee maker, small fridge with small freezer. *Large flat screen TV on wall. *Free nice breakfast which was pretty decent. Large clean breakfast seating area. *Modern workspace in a spacious lobby area. *There is a small convenience store in lobby. Although limited, it does have a few items if you need a snack or a beverage. *Well lit large parking lot and entrance. *Several luggage carts available for use. *Secure side\back door entrance - key access only. The cons: *The walls are thin. We could hear people laughing and talking late into the evening as well as the people above us walking. It sounded like elephants above us. *The shower floor looked dirty. I'm sure it was just stained over time but it still looked gross. *There was not a hair dryer in the room. I didn't know that until it was too late but I didn't ask the front desk for one as I didn't have time to deal with it. *Traffic noise from the highway is a little annoying but not the hotels fault. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. *The room could have used some paint touch ups but nothing too bad. Overall this is a decent hotel. It is a convenient clean hotel to pull off the highway and stay while traveling across Texas. There was nothing terrible that we experienced. It IS a Holiday Inn Express.

Discriminates against disabled people…read more I made an online reservation, and in the reservation comments I wrote that I have a service animal with me. When I tried to check in, the receptionist/owner pointed to a "no pets" sign. She said they have a plumbing problem and there are no more rooms available. I asked her if she was discriminating against a disabled person or if she actually had a plumbing problem. She dodged the question. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I went outside and sat in my truck, trying to figure out other sleeping arrangements. While I did so, I saw 3 different couples pull in and check in to the motel. None of them appeared to have any disabilities. I am a disabled veteran, and I would sincerely appreciate your support in boycotting this business establishment.

There was a booger on the shower curtain, hot/cold were reversed and the ceiling had damage and peeling paint. The bed was clean. No stray hairs, Mouse poop or bugs. The pillows were really soft, so that was nice. The deadbolt had duct tape over the outside of it, there were lights shining in the room through the curtains, so if you need a black room to sleep, this isn't your place. I have always stayed at ihg hotels but there were not any nearby so I turned to yelp and thought the reviews were great. Yeah, I was very very disappointed. Hubs opinion: "whoever said don't judge it by the outside is probably the owner, an employee or family. This place is trashy." I wish I could have jumped on the bandwagon but that would not have been honest. The employee that we saw was VERY kind and sweet. He offered us breakfast too, but that doesn't dress up the room.
