The rooms have large amounts of black Mold on top window seals. And along the door and in the bathroom. Showed pictures to front desk they moved us to another room had mold also but slightly less mold. Stayed and told the front desk manager in the morning and he didn't say sorry and didn't care. read more

This place was absolutely disgusting. Walking to my room was a creepy enough experience with scratches on the doors, men's clothing laying around outside, and people standing around smoking everywhere. After literally shouldering the door open, I thought the room might be ok. They clearly have made updates to the flooring/sinks etc, but it didn't take long to see that the updates have not been taken care of at all. The bathroom was dirty, with hair on the floor. The mattresses were wrapped in plastic and felt like you were sitting on a diaper. The comforter had what looked like a cigarette burn hole, and the sheets had blood stains. I actually wanted to throw up. Do not stay here unless you don't care at all about hygiene or feeling safe. read more

$279/night in August. Overpriced but I get it. It was CCU's move in weekend and we drove from MD so wanted something close to campus -10 min. Good lighting can make any room look nice in photos on the internet...Room was pretty clean, beds comfy, AC was cranking and was the best part bc it was 100 degrees out. Big mini fridge and microwave. Bathtub was gross, one towel had gray stains. Some stragglers seem to live in this hotel- lady in pajamas at the pool talking to herself. The staff was super nice. Nathaniel came to my room to fix the cable box. The phone didn't work to call him though. There's a nice outdoor pool in the parking lot open 9-9. Nathaniel made the people get out at 9pm and locked it up. There's a laundromat too near the pool. It was fairly quiet at Night and very well lit outside. Overall, it was fine for my son and I for ONE night . He's a bit of a diva. I told him, "it's like camping". read more

I don't even know where to start....If you are a hooker or a meth head, this place is for you but anyone else should stay away! This motel is in desperate need of an upgrade and a new house keeping crew!! There was hair and dirt in the bathtub and a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door. The tub looked like it was a left over from 1985. The paint in the room was chipping and stained. There was a cigarette burn in the bedding. On that subject, all you could smell was cigarette and Marijuana smoke. I swear the people in the room next to us were drug dealers. All I heard all night were people coming and going. When you check in you do so thru a bank teller window system (and no this is not because of COVID, this was a permanent thing). The girl at the front desk had her young son running around the office screaming. In short you get what you pay for. read more

We recently had a FEMA work project not far from Myrtle beach and stayed a week at this hotel in Conway SC. The rooms were the most filthy I have ever experienced in my life and I travel extensively for work. Firstly the floors were so dirty that the bottom of our feet would turn black because they never washed them, like ever, the table tops and counter top were sticky with spilled drinks from the previous stay. The room was cleaned 2x per our weekly Fema rate agreement, and yet nothing was ever addressed until we complained multiple times about how dirty it was. The air conditioner barely worked and leaked water on the inside of the room so bad, it was dripping on the counter top and leaking to the floor. We complained about the water from the poorly working (old small window) air unit on day #1 of our stay and they didn't even attempt to fix it until we complained a second time on day #5. They finally offered a different room, but that room had a air conditioner that blew hotter air then the one that leaked water everywhere in the room that we were already dissatisfied with, so we opted to stay in the dirty room that we already had. The room was supposed to be cleaned again at this time, it was again a disappointment since the cleaning crew only bothered to wash the tile floors and neglected everything else in the obvious still dirty room. They didn't even take the trash out that had been piling up in the corner for almost a week (3x house keeping overlooked it). Yuk! Don't stay here. Its gross and very poorly managed and maintained. Zero stars is what this hotel deserves as a rating. We packed up and went to the Super8 hotel down the road for the rest of our 3 week trip. Its newly remodeled rooms are much cleaner and has better air (new larger commercial grade unit). read more

Currently staying here and I could not be happier with my experience... the hotel staff is extremely attentive and some of the nicest individuals I've met in this area!!! They serve breakfast every morning from 6-9 and even have a menu you can choose from and they will have your breakfast packaged and ready for you the next morning if you prefer to eat in your room... there is a mini mart type store in the parking lot and the lady working is not only extremely kind but is very knowledgeable about this area which was extremely helpful when it came to finding places to eat and things to do... the mini mart has every single snack and drink you could ever imagine!!! Also attached to the mini mart is a full liquor store!!! Although I didn't stop in from what I could see they have just about anything you could possibly want to drink if that's your thing... the restaurant in the parking lot was under construction which was a bit of a bummer but it should be back up and running soon and there are still plenty of other food options within walking distance... I have a single king size room which is immaculately cleaned and stocked to the point that I haven't had to request a single thing in the 3 days I have been here... and the room is HUGE!!! the pool is also very nice (salt water) and very well kept... I would say the only downside to the pool area is there's absolutely no shade but that might just be a personal preference of mine... all in all I would recommend this place to anyone needing a great experience for your money... it is well worth it!!! read more

I'm actually very impressed with this motel. The location was perfect from my daughter's school-Coastal Carolina University. The room was very clean. No moldy smell. We were in non-smoking room that didn't smell like there was any smoking in the room. The manager helped me with my room key at ease when I was having a problem with it. They allow small dogs, so my foofy...Coco, who is a shih-tzu even had a nice stay. The room stayed air conditioned, so it was great. Do not stay here. I booked a room at another choice hotel closer to my event and called to cancel my stay here. Because I was an hour past the "cut off" for cancellation they said they would have to charge me full stay. After speaking to the manager and truly asking for them to consider I was staying at their sister hotel, he finally says he would charge only $40. Still this is bad business. To charge a guest for missing an hour cancellation cutoff and the guest is still staying at Choice Hotel chain. Very aggravating and a main reason for never setting foot in this place! read more

Please do not say this hotel. There's general manager stole $150 from us and there's nothing we can do because we live too far away to go down there and talk to the police. While we were on the premises we also saw prostitution and exchange of money for drugs in the wide open. This place is not safe. Bedbugs ruined our trip! My advice is spend a little more money and go to the beach. This is a truckers rest stop and truckers frequent this stop off the highway. The continental breakfast is funny...situated in the check-in lobby with a few seats and tables. It consisted of a few pieces of fruit, cinnamon bread (for toasting), cereal and yogurt....Bedbugs were visible and we have video to prove it, however, management states there aren't any bugs...I will never stay at another econo Lodge...especially in S.C. also, no lifeguard on staff. read more

I stayed at the hotel for one night. I was there with a friend. I was charged a few days later I had a charge on my account for $200 from the hotel. I called up the front desk to find out about the charge, and the lady was very rude. She then told me that they charged me $200 because there was marijuana residue in the room. I nor the person I was with smoke marijuana. i told them this and they said they have picture of the residue in the room. Mind you I was in a smoking room so my friend did smoke a black and mild (a legal tobacco product) in the room. I asked to see the picture they claim to have and would not show it to me. I called the corporate office and they where no help either besides telling me that there is nothing they can do because they cant refund my money due to the fact it is up to the hotel to do so. I feel like I am being discriminated against due to the fact just because me and my friend are black they are falsely accusing us of smoking marijuana. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They will falsely accuse you of things just to be able to STEAL YOUR MONEY!! read more
