Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. I found my reservation and called that booking number. They couldn't find it either. When I finally (after 15 phone calls) found someone who could speak to me; they told me there were damages to the room after I left. When I called the hotel back they told me there were no damages to that room, even thought they couldn't find my reservation. I'm not sure who is to blame but I am not happy with the entire situation.

They have a pancake machine (didn't try that) along with some hot dishes like biscuits and gravy, sausage links and scrambled eggs. Also grits, fresh fruit and cereal. The breakfast starts at 6 am so I was only able to take advantage of that one morning. Free hot popcorn in the lobby every evening. In case you're not sold on this place....there is a Buc-ees across the street so you can always go over there to get what you need. It's a wild place, but pretty quiet and nice at 4 am.

There is no forestry service ban on open burning of acreage in Columbus county , much less in a controlled fire pit. There is no conceivable reason I can't have a fire in a fire pit surrounded by yards of concrete and asphalt. These people are buffoons. They're like the same person who wears a mask for Covid when they are driving in their car by themselves. I will never come back. Save your money and go to a state park where the Gestapo there at least follow state regulations not made up rules.
