Keep in mind these are only here in season…read more (Starting around June 1st - September 15th) The downside to coming to Mexico to swim with the Whale Sharks is you have to wear those ridiculous life vests, but in Isla Mujeres it's almost a guaranteed sighting. Due to government regulations no free diving . The life vest makes it seem like more of a tourist trap than pelagic adventures in other countries. Still a great experience to be in the water with such magical creatures.

Once a whale shark was spotted, the captain dropped us in the water, perfectly positioned to see the whale shark. Once we returned, we stopped at Playa Norte (some the prettiest water I have ever seen in my life) and they made some fresh ceviche for everyone on board. What a great day and I would recommend their services to anyone.

On Isla Mujeres, instead of staying in the north of the island (where we docked), John was excited to rent a golf cart and so we toured the less touristic, south part the island. There was some confusion, however the lady in charge took very good care of us when we made it back. The boat ride was about 2 hours out to find the whales. Our kiddos got sick, but the crew on the boat helped out as much as possible. The other tourist on board with us were also very kind and understanding. The divers stayed with us and guided us while we were in the ocean. They made sure everyone was able to see and experience the whales up close. Whale sharks are not to be confused with sharks FYI! After we swam with the whales the captain took us to explore some reefs, then to isla mujares, which was my favorite place to visit. They made fresh ceviche while we swam off the shores. If you are in cancun while the whale sharks are in season then I highly recommend you take the opportunity.

You just snorkel and swim and just watch the sharks. We saw multiple sharks and watched them eat and even smaller fish feeding off them. All seven people in our party loved the experience. We were picked up on time in a nice big clean car. Daniel was very friendly and was giving us history and information about the area during our ride. We parked and got on a tram to the main entrance. We entered the ruins with no issues as Daniel had all our tickets already. We were able to walk all the grounds and Daniel gave us all the amazing history and was able to answer all our questions- even the ones about the wildlife. When we retuned to the car he had a cooler with cold towels and a big variety of cold drinks for us. The excursion included lunch at a place of our choice and we asked for Daniel's suggestion as we wanted something local and not a tourist spot. He took us for some street tacos that were amazing! He was also kind enough to stop at a store so we could grab a few souvenirs and a mango stand for some fresh mango. Daniel was amazing and we will definitely use Living Dreams again and will be asking for Daniel!

You had to sit and wait for your group to be called for over an hour. Once you were called you had to pay for a locker to put your stuff. Wouldn't let you bring phones but charged $150 for the pics. The encounter itself was fun but only lasts about 30 min. Not sure where the paddle boarding and then free activities were as they didn't tell us and we weren't offered but after waiting so long to actually see the dolphins we didn't have time anyways. Went to the restaurant were the food was pretty good. I would recommend a dolphin tour with a beach or activities while waiting instead of 100s of people packed in a small area.
