The mechanic I used only said that the battery was not charging and probably bad from the manufacturer, not that it was installed incorrectly. At the time he came, I had not driven it in awhile and had some issues with squirrels. But I had it fixed and drove regularly since and confirmed with a local shop. I called wondering if I could have him come out to fix it (I thought labor was covered under warranty). He said it wasn't and started saying that he has never had issues in 10 years and he wouldn't come out because gas was too expensive. I am willing to pay someone (including him) to fix it, but opted not to go with him because he was speaking unkindly and accusing the other mechanic of being wrong. I am disappointed in the service and follow up. I would suggest going to a local shop instead of someone who travels.

I did not ask for oil change because I just changed them out myself, but while they are doing the job, they checked up on oil and told me I probably need the oil change. I used Mobil 1 synthetic for truck/suv which is a bit darker when new so maybe that's why they thought I needed oil change. I refused the oil change as I literally just did it a day ago. They performed the job I requested without the oil change and all was good. But after that I needed coolant and brake fluid flushed. Called them multiple time over multiple days to schedule an appointment but they never picked up. I don't know if my refusal of oil change rubbed them the wrong way, but because they never picked up I just found another mechanic.

(looks like mfg recommends checking it every 60K-wow, I've dodged the bullet) So, any warning the belt's going bye bye-No, no warning and the car will just STOP RUNNING- What?
