We had Eco Irrigation do a landscaping job for us and it was a disaster. Not enough dirt to be complete. When we pointed out the lack of dirt, they said it would be thousands extra. What is the point of a bid if it's a bid for an incomplete job? They also charged our credit card without our consent. BEWARE! And look out for the owner, Adam. Hopefully this review spares someone using this company and being treated similarly. I previously used ECO since 2018, and never had a problem until last week. I needed a sprinkler head moved, but the affected area shared space with my buried fiber internet cable. I communicated this to them, and informed them I wasn't sure where exactly it was, but that it was "somewhere" between the the 2 installation points. Not 15 minutes later, they cut through my fiber internet. This is problematic as I work entirely from home, and so now I'm out an entire day of work. Here's what happened next: - I inform ECO of the break, and they told me that calling 811 wouldn't have mattered in this situation because 811 "doesn't track fiber" - 811 tech showed up because an incident was reported - 811 tech told me that they DO know where the fiber lines are, this happens all the time, and that ECO was just lying to try to cover themselves - Gas tech showed up to verify no gas break, and reiterated what the 811 tech said - ATT tech showed up to put a temporary fiber line, and again reiterated the same as the above techs I let ECO know the above, and that I was extremely unhappy and that I would not be paying the $150 invoice. They responded that I still owed them money, and then they blamed: - ATT for not burying the cable incorrectly (which according to ATT and the 811 tech it was in fact buried correctly) - ME because I told them where I thought the fiber line was (even though I told them I don't know where it is, be careful, and that it's somewhere between the 2 ATT boxes) - Yes, you read that correctly, I hired service professionals and then they blamed ME for breaking the fiber line. They blamed the guy sitting inside working for cutting through their own fiber internet line. As for me: - I lose a days work - I get blamed for the problem - I have (yet undetermined) charges potentially coming from ATT - My front yard is going to be unnecessarily torn up to re-bury this line - I suspect I will lose another day of work when they re-bury the line I'm hoping this review costs them more than $150, and I'm hoping to work with 811 to ensure they get fined/penalized for being negligent and not calling before they dug on my property. read more

I contracted for a sprinkler system in Aug. 2018 and paid a deposit. It was finally installed in Nov. 2018. The installation team were quick and got the job done. I was not happy waiting over three months, when the contract signing stated 6-8 weeks. They did a fine job of turning on the system in 2019, but now getting it turned off - a total joke. I tried to schedule, but was told I needed to give them a credit card. Since I was not in a position to dig out a card at that time, I said I would call back. I have called four times and four times gone to voice mail. I have yet to get a return call, as I WILL NOT leave a credit card number on a voice mail system. Don't expect to use them in the future for turn on/turn off since they don't feel returning calls is necessary. read more

These guys came recommended from one of those "find a irrigation" company websites. The owner called and and had me listen to a "presentation". You would have thought I was joining some multi-level marketing company. What sold me was the sprinkler heads. He claimed his wife ran them over with his SUV and they never broke. They installed my system and showed me how it worked. There were a few times I had questions and the owner was in the hospital. I had to call into the office, as they do not respond well to emails. Cue to after the snowpocalypse, I had two heads that were not working. I also noticed there was water in the street. I called for a service call and they had some delays, which I expected. I did not expect to almost have to wait a month for them to come out. My appointment did get reschedule, which was done via email. They did not even bother to call me to let me know. My appointment rolls around and three guys pull up in a truck. The lead guy sees that two of the heads are not working. He tells me that is because someone turned them off. Well gee, no one has touched the system since it was installed by your company. He did go ahead and replace two of the heads at no cost. The water in the road was because some of the pipe had holes in in. This is because they did not bury it very deep in the ground. I was told on more than one occasion it I would not run into any issues with it being punctured. Needless to say, he had to reinstall about 3 feet of pipe. Overall, he was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I was charged almost $300 for the service call. Originally, the install went very smooth. They were backed up, but kept me in the loop. If you ever have to call these guys out for any type of repair, buyer beware. It can get expensive quickly. Given, I had figured I was going to have to pay for something for the broken pipe. I did not expect it to be almost $300. I guess it could have been worse as they could have charged me for the full hour. They still tried to charge me for almost a full hour, even though it took the guy less than 30 minutes. Next time, I probably will not call them out for a service repair and try to find someone local. My yard is not very large as it is and I had already spent over $5K on a front yard 4 zone system. I guess I had higher expectations and expected customer service to be a tad bit better. read more

I had Eco come out several months ago to do a repair where the city water tied in to my irrigation system had started leaking. They did a great job and at a very fair price. When my irrigation system had three zones go out, I figured I would give them a call, since my last experience with them was so good. The team that came out did a good job - they even identified and fixed another leak. The repair for my three dead zones ended up being an issue with the timer. There was a part in the timer that was non-functioning for the three zones in question. Lucky for me they had a part on the truck and could fix it. My final bill caught me a little off guard, though - $240 for a service call, leak repair of a bubbler and a new part on the timer. After they left, I looked up the timer part they had replaced, just to get an idea of it whether or not it was a fair price. It was not - it was a 100% markup from manufacturers MSRP and 4x more than from other sources (like Amazon). I don't mind paying a markup - but 100% is crazy. I called the office to ask if this was a normal markup and was told they do charge a mark-up and that if my system was a Rainbird, it probably would have been less. I expained that I understand the markup, but 100% from MSRP (which nobody really charges) was excessive. I was again told that Rainbird may have been cheaper and that they do have a markup. I could have bought a new (wifi) timer for less than the replacement part! I left the conversation with a thanks for coming out quickly to get things fixed and that I appreciated how friendly the crew was. I also let them know that it was a shame that their excessive markup would be the cause of being the last time I do business with them. I'm glad there was only one part to be replaced. Maybe it's my fault I didn't know competitive part prices before calling - but then I guess I would have just done the repair myself if I knew what the issue was. read more

Poor, poor business practices. Long story short, this company came out and the tech and I discussed several 'jobs' in my yard that I wanted to address. Was told I would have a quote by email that day. Service call ($140) is waived if you accept the quote. Credit card is requested at time of booking. Had to call back the next day to get the email quote (came back with a flat fee for the whole job), called and requested an itemized quote (in the event I wanted some parts done now, some later). One week later, no further communication from the company, no updated quote, and my credit card was charged the $140 service fee. Beware of this company... if they don't want to do your service (perhaps my job wasn't 'big' enough for their time), they charge your card without further communication. What kind of business practice is this? I STRONGLY advise against using this company. read more

From the initial contact, and all through out the process I was kept informed and received communication from them. Yes it all happened during COVID. There were some delays, but they called me and we discussed them each time. The rain and more rain. Again, more communication from Eco and discussion and planning together. I truly felt as the driver of the project with an amazing team of support. The install crew worked tirelessly to do the job and did little extra thing to ensure neatness and tidyness. Wow, just wow. I can't say enough about these guys, especially Adam. I have used them twice for mulching, this year I needed it on a specific day as we are selling our house. They rearranged their schedule to fit me in between pollen dropping and picture day. They don't just spread mulch, they cleared all beds out of leaves, spread 35 yards of mulch in the front and back and worked until 7pm to get it done. It is a large yard with giant mulch beds, it isn't something you can do alone and if I ever need mulching I would go no where else. I can't speak to their irrigation as I haven't used it but I've seen many neighbors post about them and I would use them in a heart beat if I ever had a sprinkler issue. We were experiencing a slow leak where the valves and other stuff is located for the irrigation system. A call to the city determined it was not their problem and they suggested a plumber. I called 360 plumbing and they came out and looked and determined they could not fix it because it was a sprinkler line problem. These guys literally saved me from disaster! I put a house on the market. Beautiful manicured yard and 100 degrees out.... First day on the market, had just spent a ton of money getting the yard and house ready to show....and the old irrigation system was found to have been broken for 5 days! Murphy's Law! The yard was already staring to die! I called 4 or 5 places begging for help. Even my own landscapers (who probably broke it!) and no one would help me! I was pretty frantic, near tears.
