    Israeli Black Beer non alcoholic

If you want a quiet evening this is probably not the place for you. But, if you want a lively evening with good food, excellent service and and a fabulous ambience this is your place :-) Four of us decided to go here for dinner. Initially it was three and when we got there, I texted an Isralei friend in the area to see if he had been here before and, he said yea. He then joined us in a few minutes :-) In his words it's all Israeli fast foods and street food in one place :-) As it happened it was the first day of Hannukah (which we did not know) and the place was packed. There was a trio playing music and singing and belting out some wonderful old style Israeli music. I made a last minute booking and they were kind enough to accommodate us. The waitress came over and said she would order our meal and that, we would eat what she brought out, to which we all agreed. We had an Israeli Tapas platter to share, a kebab platter and a steak to share. There is plenty of vegetarian on the menu and none of the products contain milk or milk products. A great place if you are a vegetarian or vegan. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. There was also plenty of it. If you like steak cooked medium rare or rare you won't get it here as it's not the norm in Israel. But they have great quality meat and excellent. kebabs. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they have a wide selection of drinks including an Israeli beer and an Israeli Black beer which is non alcoholic and one of my favourite drinks I really liked the first time I visited Israel. I would come back here any day. Love the food, the atmosphere and the service. I love middle eastern food and this is a great place for it.

Oy. I've been to Eclipse several times, and have always enjoyed delicious, unique meals. Last night was an exception. I was looking forward to finally reviewing this local favorite, and went with a group of friends - some of whom had been before, others who'd heard rave reviews. Our experience was so bizarre I really wasn't sure how to write a cogent review, so I'll try to evaluate Eclipse instead, fairly, based on all the times I've dined there. The place is cosy, the menu extensive but a little pricey, and the service usually unremarkable. They always seem to be slammed on evenings & weekends, but my husband and I have enjoyed a few quiet lunches there at off-times. Great to have something unique in the neighborhood. Despite a bad experience, I'll be back & will update. ______ Now for the saga of last night: We were seated and inhaled the warm atmosphere and delectable aromas that filled the room; the perfect escape from a dreary November evening. We ordered drinks, pita, chili paste & hummus to share, and for me the matze soup; we also gave our main orders, and things began to go downhill from there. My companions complained their beer was warm but drank it anyway - we were there to have a good time, after all! My maracujaschorle was delicious and cold, for the record :) We waited 50 minutes for our hummus & pita and my soup, and when they finally arrived they were accompanied by an appetizer we soon realized belonged to another table - and our order of chili paste was missing. My soup, usually a highlight for me at Eclipse - although I know deep down I'm paying nearly 5 EUR for a bowl of chicken broth, it's always irresistibly seasoned and a rare treat here in Munich - last night consisted of a centimeter of flavorless, lukewarm liquid, and a few rock-hard uncooked matze balls. After crunching through 2 of the balls I flagged down our server and let him know that I couldn't eat the soup, unfortunately, and to please take it back. He did, without comment. I guess there's a first time for everything, and last night was the first time I sent back a dish at a restaurant. We also inquired about the mysterious appetizer on our table, and our missing chili paste - our server looked confused and disappeared again. 20 minutes later we decided to just eat the appetizer in front of us, and may the devil take the hindmost! 10 minutes after that, our chili paste showed up. We happily munched our way through the (excellent) humus and chili paste, enjoyed the final scraps of hot, fresh pita, and looked around at our empty plates. At some point we were able to flag down another server and order a second round of drinks, inquiring again about our main course. More time passed, and then some more. At the 1 hour, 45 minute mark we decided we all just needed to go home, it wasn't worth it to wait any longer for our dinners - we'd filled up on beverages and the appetizer that had randomly arrived at our table anyway. When we were finally able to flag down the host we engaged in an uncomfortable discussion about canceling our dishes. She said it would be "only 10 more minutes" and brushed off our complaints, heading back to the kitchen. 10 minutes later she re-emerged to say canceling all 5 of our entrées would be "very problematic" for them, and it would be "only 2 more minutes" before at least a few of our dishes would be ready. A friend asked politely if he could speak with the manager, and after a brief challenge the host left to get her. At this point, the experience began to shift. The manager apologized immediately and offered to "make it right" however possible. As we had ordered simple dishes, and Eclipse is very often at least as busy as it was last night, we asked if something were going wrong; she intimated that indeed they'd had computer problems, delivery issues, etc. and again apologized for what had become a negative experience for all of us. We had noticed several frustrated tables around us had also not yet received their meals, so we weren't the only ones feeling the impact. We confirmed we'd just like to cancel our meals and pay our bill. 5 minutes later the host reappeared, this time apologetic and gracious, bearing little desserts for each of us and offering schnapps or coffee. The dessert itself was not particularly delicious, but a very sweet gesture and a testament to Eclipse that we were able to end the evening smiling. We declined additional treats and asked again for the check. We waited another 20 minutes, enough time to finish our desserts and get anxious, before we could get her attention a final time and remind her we'd like to pay. We left plenty of cash so we wouldn't have to endure another delay to get change, and made our escape. TL;DR: A funky, cool place to eat delicious, unusual food - but expensive considering the simplicity of most of their dishes. They are often very busy and service can suffer.

Fresh food, cooked to perfection, kind service and most importantly - great flavors. Reminds me of home ;-) Highly recommended!

Mixed lamb and beefs skewer with pine nuts on a bed of sweet white onion and a sour sauce. Very nice and original.

The place is located in the student and restaurant neighbourhood of Maxvorstast. We get there after being bounced by other restaurants and were lucky enough that someone else missed their reservation or we wouldn't have found place. Indeed it was a lucky night. The place is quite noisy but the service is excellent considering it is Germany, and the food we tried was well prepared and clearly from fresh and prime quality ingredients - we can be very sensitive about that. We had an antipasti for two, two glasses of red wine (they have a choice of three open bottle reds and whites and they all seem palatable), one bottle of water, and a skewer each; we concluded with two desserts. The cost was around 63€ mostly due to drinks and desserts (as usual) which we found adequate. Maybe if the place was less noisy it would gain in fascination.

Unfortunately, for our last visit we only made it there once as we had just a 14 hour layover. We found this little gem by accident many years ago as we were coming back from a bike tour of the city and decided to give them a try as their selection seemed extensive and their prices seemed lower than many other places near the city center. I can't think of any bad visits that we have had here. The service is always friendly and the food is always great and plentiful. They have traditional German selections and also several Croatian dishes if you are feeling more adventurous. If you have never had the pleasure of Croatian food, you may want to give it a try. It is like a crossroads between Italian, Mediterranean and Turkish. The menu is page after page of endless choices as well as daily specials. Two of our favorites are the mixed grill and schnitzel. There are also pastas and pizzas on the menu which are also quite good. Several years back we had our six boys in Munich, several of whom were teenagers, and every single one found things they liked on the menu. If you're dining solo, as a couple or a family, it's the perfect place. You may want to call ahead or go during the off hours as they can get quite busy.

Cozy and charming, it offers breakfast platters from different cultures, with plenty of German specialties. On our second day in Munich, I brought my wife here for a European breakfast--she chose the set platter with a bread basket, while I went with classic Bavarian white sausage and pretzel, plus two eggs for a distinctly American touch. It felt like a scene out of Seinfeld--the German twist on "no soup for you" applies to reservations, so be sure to make one! The prices are moderate, the view is stunning, and the food is simply delicious.

One small thing that caught my attention was the bathroom tipping system, which was a bit confusing at first, but it seems to be a norm in this area, so I can't really fault the café for that. Overall, it's the kind of place I'd come back to for a relaxing coffee break with a view. The atmosphere, jazz music, service, view, and setting all make it a lovely spot to unwind and slow down.

GREAT RESTAURANT NEAR ROSENHEIMER PLATZ S BAHN STATION…read more====================================================== My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Munich City Center for four nights and this restaurant was very close to our hotel. Normally I would be the designated person to look for local restaurants, but this time my husband found this one. He made a reservation for Friday, April 17, 2026 for dinner. We loved our meal there and highly recommend it. I believe my husband had the grilled ribeye steak and he ate every last bit. I ordered the fresh linguini with black truffle and I absolutely loved that. The negronis were great too. One of the chefs brought us a complimentary appetizer before our main course as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My fiancée is here for work, and had a big event last night lasting until around 10pm. I looked everywhere to find a kitchen open later and found this spot on Google saying 1am. Our hotel concierge called and they said their kitchen would close at 11 but made a 10:30 reservation. When we arrived we thought for sure they were closed but the staff (no one else inside) warmly greeted us and told us not to rush or to worry, all was well and they would happily take care of us. Thus proceeded the next hour and a half of excellent and kind service by a team who clearly really care. We ordered drinks, appetizers, an entree to share, and dessert with coffee. The chef himself brought us an amuse-bouche and our entree and spoke to us about how we found the place and mentioned they had opened just prior to COVID, struggled for a bit, but were now starting to do well. I'm so happy for them, the food was excellent, it was clear they all cared very much about great service, ambiance, and taste. They deserve to thrive. We tried a grilled goat cheese with truffle honey on a marinated beetroot carpaccio. This was very good! We split a fish entree - a generous portion of grilled whitefish with a tomato barley risotto with broccolini and a mustard vinaigrette. Sooo good! We loved this plate. Finished the meal with fresh coffee and cappuccino and a serving of tonka bean creme brûlée with a ragout of fresh berries. Seriously delicious creme brûlée, perfect texture and taste and the coffee was absolutely delicious. The restrooms are clean, it's in a prime location in a very nice part of town, and we haven't had service this good anywhere else. Our server was so kind, at no point tried to rush us, and even brought me my coat and helped me put it on at the end of the meal. Do not hesitate, in fact, run here! Great menu, great taste, and great service!
