After a couple of months, we noticed there were a few finishing issues with the doors which were installed. I called back and scheduled an appointment. There were no questions, only pertaining to what issues I have and what remedy I wanted. Jamie was extremely professional and was "exactly" on time. He wasn't early, nor was he late. You can tell that his life is structured in such a manner. He did a very clean and neat job. Just as he did during the installation of the doors. He also was respectful and laid down protective covering while conducting the minor repairs to some of the french doors and an interior garage door leading from the inside of the home to the inside of the garage. The area around the doors was brought back to how it was before he arrived. You'd never known he was at the home doing repairs. Except, of course, by the way, the doors are functioning. OMT - he also went above and beyond. He painted the entire molding around the door, not just the place where there was a bit of a seam showing. That is more than could have been expected.

Used this company for new interior doors. We bought special hinges for each door, but they placed…read moregeneric ones on only one of them, and cut the door to fit that hinge. No one on staff noticed that the one door didn't match the others. Finally got the matching hinges I paid for, but since the door was cut to fit a differently shaped hinge, there were raw edges showing. They ghosted us when I submitted pics showing the issue. Joanne blamed the manufacturer and we never heard from anyone again. In addition, they had problems hanging a pocket door, couldn't figure out how to make it slide smoothly. I used a hammer and did it myself. AVOID this business if you want a completed project with skilled installers who pay attention to detail.

Liz (I hope I remembered her name correctly), was very helpful. She took the measurements over the phone and gave us a reasonable quote. The piece was ready the following day and fit perfectly. We purchased all new Milgard windows from SCV Glassworks in 2009. They have a lifetime warranty,…read moreand two of the windows are crystallizing on the inside, creating a foggy appearance. I called SCV Glassworks and first spoke to Eric and then to Andrew. The first response from Andrew was that they would replace the windows only if we purchased them "within the last year or so." I reminded him of the "Lifetime Warranty," and then Andrew said we had to file our request with Milgard. I pointed out that we purchased the windows from SCV Glassworks, and they hold themselves out as a "Milgard Certified Dealer." Andrew then changed his story and said he'd file a warranty request to Milgard to have the windows replaced. Andrew requested that I photograph the window frame and send it to him since it contained all the warranty information he needed. I forwarded the photographic information, and he confirmed receiving all the information he needed. He said he would put in a warranty request for me. After three weeks, I heard nothing, so I sent a text to Andrew asking for an update on my warranty request. He responded that he'll check with the manufacturer, Milgard, to determine the status of my warranty repair. He'd let me know as soon as he hears from Milgard. Two weeks went by, and not a word from SCV Glassworks, so today I decided to call Milgard myself. I reached Milgard's warranty department, and they advised that they had no warranty request from SCV Glassworks. Alexander, in Milgard's Customer Service Department, advised that it was best for me to just file my own warrant request through his department. Alexander asked that I forward the photographic information of the two windows to be replaced. I sent the information to Alexander, and in less than an hour, he confirmed receipt of my information, confirmed the warranty, and scheduled the window replacement. The Bottom Line: Milgard windows are great, and their service department is the best I've ever experienced. Kudos to Andrew in Milgard's Customer Service Department in Simi Valley. SCV Glassworks: First, a denial of a warranty, then a claim that they filed a warranty request when they had not, and no follow-up whatsoever. Their "service" was the worst.
