So I called my doctor again to have them call it in. The pharmacist stated they would call me once they had. I waited a week called back and was told it wasn't in so I called the doctors office once again to find out the issue. Received a text to call the pharmacy back as they had an update to my prescription so I call after being on hold for 15 minutes I hang up and call again only to be hung up on. Called again as it's a prescription that is needed and this is the only compound pharmacy close by me. Finally speak to someone that basically asks if I want the prescription. After calling for 2 weeks of course I want the prescription. This seems excessive for a business that doesn't appear to have a ton of customers. Reading the previous reviews it seems that they are all happy coming here HOWEVER I was not impressed. Really concerning that a 100 dollar prescription takes weeks to get and then 3-4 days to make. Would rather go to walgreens or cvs and have them compound it for me as this place is not very customer focused in my opinion.

I know which stores have pharmacies open until 10 and that the nearest 24-Hour pharmacy at this time is in Sun City Center. Somehow, though, I'd been unaware of this nearby Walgreen's whose pharmacy is open until 9 PM. The folks here were very easy to work with and made sure my mom got the meds she urgently needed. I regret I didn't get the names of the folks who helped me, but I plan to go by there and get them so I can update this review and praise them. Regardless, I walked away with a sense that it's a well-run operation and you'd get great service from others here as well.

But after needing medication here recently I felt the what others wrote about. They charged me a copay but that day I was too sick to think about it and I knew they had my primary and secondary Insurance information so I believed it was right. ACouple days later when I felt better I revisited the issue, called my Insurance to inquire and found out that the RX was not even submitted to my secondary. The answer to that question from the pharmacy was that they can only do what the computer lets them and they could not submit it any other way. That happened again a couple days later when my medication had to be changed. They will not work with you and they make you feel you are stupid and have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe it's just that pharmacy location, I hope so, like I said I always thought Publix very customer oriented. Very frustrating

I had a PA prescribe a prescription for me that was absolutely not to be taken by someone with my health issue and thank goodness Dr. Ghiya knew it and we were able to get a different medication. But I did end up saving money by getting my prescriptions through him, and that is a really good thing for someone that is on a fixed income. So if you're okay with getting your prescriptions during normal business hours during the weekday I would go ahead and give this guy a try, it's great to see local businesses startup, and people should give him a chance. OLD REVIEW: I found this pharmacy because I use GoodRx and it suggested that I could save some money if I moved a couple of my prescriptions from where I normally get them to this pharmacy, so I went ahead and had them transfer the prescriptions and told them that I was running out of my meds. I would think that a pharmacy that handles people's medicine and get some brand new customer that they would let them know that they're closed on weekends. Most people who have health insurance usually do so because they have a job, so it may not be easy to go there only Monday through Friday, especially when they close early. Now I need to wait until Monday to get my meds, and it will have to be after work when I go there, but after I get them I will transfer my prescriptions back to a pharmacy that keeps me informed, and is open on weekends so that I can work my regular job and be able to pick up a prescription during non-working hours. It's such a shame, because I had asked them if they were an independent pharmacy and they said that they were, but if you want to have customers that can afford to buy your product then you need to be able to be open when someone who works is not working. I didn't see a Yelp listing for the vistara pharmacy in Pinellas county. It is the Pinellas county facility that I called my prescription to. But I guess the one in Tampa also has limited hours so basically this business model only uses hours that would be normal regular working business hours for someone that has a Monday through Friday job. Nowadays if you want to try to get a customer, you need to be open when a customer can come in.

The pharmacist was incredibly friendly on the phone and offered to wait to close until after I arrived to pick it up. I was driving there after work on a busy Friday evening. The pharmacy is located in the overstuffed retail cluster across the street from Outback, on the Mellow Mushroom side. It's small, basic and lightly decorated with over-the-counter products. The pharmacist explained the directions and answered all of my questions about the prescription. She also provided me with the documentation needed to submit it to my health insurance carrier.
