The campground seems okay , water pressure is around 30lbs in the morning gets worse during the day. We tried several times to wash clothes and we could not , they were full of white bedding , I'm assuming they are for the cabins. To be honest they should have separate washer and dryers for that. The washers and dryers looked well worn As well.The people seem friendly but we were there only a few days. Some of the campsites were extremely small thankfully we were put in a big pull thru. Some of the campsites we came across leave a lot to be desired On being clean and junk piled up everywhere . 2 unsightly trailers right next to the road across from the office, they appear abandoned with trash around. The road noise was horrible and the fence they had put up was falling down and I'm not sure what the old building full of junk is used for but it could use a cleanup! From previous reviews I think they are trying to make it better, oh and the pool could use a good cleaning As well! Overall I give it 2 stars. maybe We will comeback at the end of our trip to see if they are trying a little harder. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Owner is super rude. We have been traveling for hours made a quick stop to stretch our legs and let our toddler run around, she came in barreling in screaming at my husband for no reason. We were there 10-15 minutes tops. The camp ground had plenty of vacancies and we parked next to the picnic area we didn't even use the facilities (there are none) and she came accusing us of using the showers etc. Charged us money to just STOP and stretch our legs. If you are looking for the "Hill Has Eyes" experience this is your place. Seems per other reviews this lady has a track record. Look somewhere else. read more

If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. My parents came from several hours away for a one night stay, I live local so I went to visit them for a few hours. From approximately 3:45 PM until 7:30 PM. Ate dinner with them and sat and talked around the campfire. I never stayed overnight. The old witchy hag that runs the office charged me $2to visit with my parents when I first got there. About 2 hours later, she came over to our campsite and cjarged me ANOTHER $1 to visit with them until 7:30. (Claiming it was to upkeep the "facilities"). I left at 7:30 and came back the next morning, again only for a few hours to have breakfast with my parents before they left town again. I used the DEPLORABLE porta john to go to the bathroom. No toilet paper in there, looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the civil war. I had to shower three times to get the feeling of catching an STD off of that thing. The witch bitch owner came pulling up close to checkout time around 10:15, accused me of staying overnight, when I did not and wanted to charge me another $1.50 for visiting with my parents that morning. I refused to pay and both of my parents said they would never be back to which she replied "Good." She is not a business owner, she is a swamp witch. She harassed my parents about the wood they were burning in the camp fire ring. She said she didnt want bugs on her property. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! Judy, if you see this, you're a swamp witch. If you don't like people, get out of the people business. You don't own a campground, you own a landfill and you need therapy. I'm giving 2 stars because the A/C worked. That was 1good thing the other was the community bathroom was nice and clean. If you are bringing a trailer, you might like it. Everyone in our group checked in and she couldn't find one key for any of us. Always said go check in and we'll bring it to you. Guess what, no key. Mouse nest in the kitchen drawer. I checked in in March of 2019 and was planning on staying a few months. Nice enough place, my issue is with the owner Judy. She billed me immediately $198 dollars for propane. I asked what this was for since I had my own tanks. Within 1 week she accused me of stealing a propane tank that she said was on my site when I pulled in. There never was a tank on my site when I arrived. She accused me multiple times over the next few days. Since it was still cold, not many other parks were open yet, I found another park and left 2 weeks early from my first month. I took a video of the site when I 1st arrived to send to my wife. Luckily you could see my rv still connected to my truck, and the slide outs still in. No propane tank on the site. One last time I told her I didn't take her 100 lb tank, her response was " 100 lb, it was a 100 gallon tank" that's 500-600 lbs. how is one person going to move that? I, was told by the Xfinity salesman in the area to leave my cable box in the rv park office which I did and he would pick it up. Owner is very rude. Made reservation several months ago and received no confirmation or anything. When I later had to cancel I mentioned not having confirmation and she said "I don't both with those. I got it" and hung up on me. I called back "I think we got disconnected" and stated I just wanted to be sure she got my name and dates and she hung up on me a second time. I'm watching my charge statements closely to make sure she doesn't charge me since it didn't seem like she wrote anything down at all. Seriously - I'll NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Rates are reasonable if you get a site. There were 5 families that went for a weekend and only two sites were usable (truck camper on one site and 4 tents on another), however we all paid full price. Not the best place.. We had issues from the second we pulled into the campground. The owner Judy, told my husband that they had overbooked for the weekend due to an employee that was not longer working there. She didn't have our reservations and had to find us an available site big enough to accommodate our 35 foot 5th wheel. She gave us a site but due to the rain, it was completely flooded by morning and the picnic table and fire ring she told us would be brought over were no where in site. I politely went to the office and asked if any other sites had come available and she immediately told me she was going to charge me extra because the new site had cable! We never asked for cable nor did we need it. We ended up at a new site after we were so rudely hanlded from the start. If you are just passing through the place is fine for the night but not for a weekend getaway or long term stay. read more

This Place was the most absurdly disgusting rip off I've ever seen! I'm still showering every 3 hours till I stop feeling like a rubber mattress myself. I rented a cabin for one night and I went to get a full panel of blood work done yesterday. The place seemed fine and was recommended by Rausch Creek off road park and since I've always trusted fellow off-roaders with accommodations I didn't bother to question things. I wish I had checked a few reviews. I was charged $110 CASH in the off-season (because we were only staying one night) plus Tax on the stipulation she was going to charge us more if we used credit. I really didnt mind all of this. It's normal for a camp ground to be quirky. Whatever... The good: 1. The heat worked 2. I lived to write this review 3. The power stayed on The bad: 1. Filthy!!!! There were crumbs and even part of a sandwich crust in the middle of the table. The dust on vertical surfaces was appalling. 2. Poor upkeep of general amenities. Everything just looked worn out! 3. Rubber mattresses on plywood = Disgusting 4. Algae growing on the cabin. 5. Dirt everywhere inside. 6. The rest of the campground seemed sketchy 7. The cabin next to mine was even worse and had aluminum foil in the windows. 8. The electrical service on poles was very concerning A little effort would have made this cabin acceptable. She only likes a certain kind of people at her campground and defiantly doesn't want kids there. She will charge you for electric that you didn't use and honestly just charge you for everythibg that she can, she's a greedy money hungry mean lady. And the rudest person I've ever met. I have Nothing bad to say about the Owner, But What she claims to be cabins aren't cabins, they're old construction trailers. That she charges $800 a month for, Which to me isn't worth it. Grab a cup of coffee and a blanket because this is going to be a long one! We set our camper here in a seasonal spot due to its location and the availability to move it in in the winter months. I dropped it off in March and opening day was April 14th. We drove over two hours that Friday to come down and stay for our first weekend. When we arrived there was no power and no water. I went to the office and "Judy" the owner told me it was too cold to open. I asked her why she didn't notify me that she wasn't opening when her website said they would. She said she didn't have time to do things like that and that I should have known because it was still cold out. I told her I had drive two hours to get there and now I had to drive home. She got her maintenance man in the office and they both began screaming at me calling me dumb and told me if I didn't like it here I could take my f#*%ng camper and get out. I told him I just paid 2 grand cash could I have it back and they said no refunds. So I left it there and went home. We went back down in May and the electric and water was on. I stayed the weekend and went home on Sunday. My wife wanted to stay the week and make the camper homey. That Monday she was sitting at the picnic table and Judy the owner drove up and asked her what she was doing. My wife said she was staying in the camper because we had paid for the year. Judy told her we are only allowed to stay the weekends and that she had to leave! What campground only allows you to stay on the weekends? This woman is nuts! We really felt weird a out staying there again. She would stop and check our firewood to make sure it was bought from her along with other weird things. I decided to sell the camper rather than move it to another campground. We only stayed in it 3 times this year because we were afraid of what that woman would do. When I went to the office to tell her we sold it and a fella would be picking it up in a week she gave me my last electric bill. It was 300$. The last bill was 17$. She said I must have a short in the camper and I should have unplugged it when I left last time. I told her that was impossible and she said the numbers don't lie. I was afraid she would call the cops if I didn't pay her and I've read some reviews that say she is friends with the police in the area so I paid her the 300 and left happy to never have to see her again. So we decided to try this campground out because it was close to an air show we were going to. Unfortunately our experience wasn't so great. We are in a tent and rely on a restroom facility. So on arrival the owner says they are locked but she will open soon. So we go ahead and set up our site which was level and shady. Downside is tent sites are close to a very busy road so a bit noisy and a bit away from the restroom. There was a Johnny on the spot which hasn't been touched in a year probably, disgusting. So I head to the restroom a while later only to find them still locked. Go to office to find the owner, she is trying to help another camper but is very rude about it. Then asks me what I want because she is trying to finish her lunch mind you it's 3 pm. I told her I need the restroom open. She tried to give me the keys to go unlock myself but that's not my job. Much later now the shower/ bathroom is finally unlocked and yes it is very nice and pretty new. But it's only one and unisex. For a large campground not really sufficient. Find out there was another one further away but it was still locked. Tried to make the best of it but will never go back. read more

A friend of mine stayed there with our young sons prior to a day of wheeling our Jeeps at Rausch Creek Off Road park. The camp sites were big, flat and free of debris. The owners were friendly and their general store was small but stocked with the basics. The boys liked having a running creek next to our campsite and it all made for a great weekend. The only downside was the nearby road noise through the night. I'd go again though. read more

I never in my life talk to the rudest I would even call her a lady . I called to see if they had a site for the season. She ask me what size my camper was and what amp . Then proved to talk ride to me . Said No she would rather rent a lot to a pipeline an get 700 or more a month the rent out by season. which I am a pipeline I told her . We called at 6:30 PM on a Tuesday evening to inquire about renting an RV site for several months. The woman who answered the phone reprimanded us for disturbing her during dinner. When I explained to her the hours on the website were until 7pm and could she call me back when she finished dinner she proceeded to hang up on me. This is completely unacceptable and Echo Valley should be ashamed to have an employee with this attitude working for them. read more

I used to go camping there as a kid. The place was alright; they had a swimming pool, mini-golf, and BBQ stations here and there. The place is large enough to feel like your in a tiny village without losing the feel of being outside. The only drawback is that there are a lot of 'restless natives' who like to get rowdy from time to time. Also, the campsite is somewhat close to a major route, so expect a fair amount of traffic noise if that sort of thing bothers you. read more

Fantastic facility! The owner/operator is a gem! She went out of her way to ensure not only we had everything we needed but took time to share information about the area. I have camp all over the United States and never found such an intimate and wonderful facility. It's a very quaint and family friendly. The seasonal residents are just as friendly! You can't go wrong staying here. We enjoyed it so much we have added this as one of our camping destinations to frequent. It's like camping in a botanical garden! Their fees are very affordable and you are in for wonderful stay! Their bath houses and restrooms are very well-kept and cozy, nothing like-some of the larger campground chains. Tried this spot for an overnight stay off of the I-81 highway corridor with our motorhome. When checking in, the person "watching" the store asked to see our Good Sam card as we are members and asked for a Good Sam rate. The person looked at the card and said it expired in 2017, but we knew we had renewed at that time for two years. My wife called Good Sam on speaker phone in front of the guy and they stated we were in good standing until 2019. He still continued to refuse the discount but my wife persisted and he relented. But things got worse, they put us on site 26B. As a matter of course, I always plug a polarity checker into the electrical supply pedestal to ensure the wiring is all correct. When I checked it, it showed and open ground. Then I took out a surge protector that also acts to check polarity and wiring, and the second one said the same thing, open ground, this is a fire and electrocution hazard and we refused to plug in. I went to see the person at the store again and told him. He stated that they had gotten another complaint in the past about the same thing, and that they " had the guy that does their wiring check it and it was OK". I asked for another site and he said they could not accommodate us. About half an hour later while we went back to the store and my wife asked the guy to have the owner call us. After waiting about two hours and never got a call, we left and will dispute the credit card charge. Place was a dump and the staff was rude and useless. read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. The woman at the office is extremely rude. I got the sense on a phone conversation when I was inquiring about the amenities, but we decided to go anyway because my sister needed to get to Pottsville for a medical test and we needed to be close by. They cater to the pipeline guys, and I am sure she is pleased with that because of the money they bring in. However, she should try to be more accommodating and kind to other campers as well. She thinks she has a gem of a campground but it is a disgusting mess. Our water inlet was about 15 inches below the ground surface. A couple feet from there was our sewer connection. The sewer connection was leaking and the overflow was draining into the water inlet. She wouldn't even acknowledge it when I told her. In addition to that, when we arrived at the site, the fire ring was about 3 feet from a 100 gallon propane tank. Imagine that!!! There are all kinds of wires hanging from all the poles and run along the ground surface. No one was in the pool, in fact, the brochure complains about how expensive it is to run it. No sense trying to discuss your concerns with the office lady, she could care less, won't listen and just fire back with her own mean thoughts. This was the worse camping experience in my life and I have been a camper for 50 years. I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPGROUND TO ANYONE. IN FACT, THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND GOOD SAM CAMPING CLUB, OF WHICH THEY SUPPOSEDLY ARE A MEMBER. read more

We go to New England every year and have found this to be a perfect stopping point for our travels. This is just one mile off of the interstate 81 with paved roads all the way in. They have very large pull thrus that can accommodate very large units. This is a very clean and well groomed park and the folks are very friendly. I highly recommend this campground and I plan my trips so that I can stop here. read more

We have traveled across the United States and stayed at numerous campgrounds for my husbands job. This is by far the worst campground we have ever stayed at. When we arrived the owner Judy showed us to our site and where to put our trailer. After we were there a week she came to us and told us we had to move our trailer over 3 feet because we were on the other site beside us and she wanted to put another trailer there. The site was to small for 2 trailers so we ask if we could move. She said she thought that would be better since our trailer was to big to have there. So we moved to another site. We always take a picture with a cell phone of our electric meter when we move in. She had a different reading from the last time someone was on that site and tried to charge us $57 for one week. When we showed her the picture with the date and time she changed the amount we owed but still thought we were trying to rip her off. When we went to the office to pay the rent a few weeks later, she had raised it $35. When we questioned the amount she said "That's a nicer site." We told her she didn't tell us that before we moved and she said "you didn't ask". Out of all the workers staying there we paid more rent than any of them from day one. While we were on the "Nicer" site (right beside a stinky sewer holding tank), the tank overflowed and there was raw sewage laying on top of the ground on three occasions (which we have pictures of). We left 2 weeks before our rent was due. Since we knew the other workers left (without notice) and she gave them a refund we ask if we would get any money back she said "did you give me notice" . She took our last months electric bill out of our $100 deposit and gave us $56 back and told my husband "the hell with you" went into her office and shut the door. DO NOT STAY HERE!! She is the rudest most miserable person we have ever had to deal with in the 30 years we have been doing this. Her husband Pete was always nice to us and very helpful (God bless him). read more
