I tend to be dramatic but I would literally throw myself in front of a speeding car for Gohar mainly because my picture in the paper would feature the best brows I've had since before I discovered anxiety plucking. Located in the Burbank hairtown, this cash only joint is fairly unassuming from the outside. Most brow places have you sitting upright at a counter, or hunched over at a kiosk. Here, you're laying down on a comfy reclining table in a private room in the back so no discomfort or gawking. She takes her time to discuss your brows with you, what you want, what your goals are before she works. She's appointment only because of this. She doesn't rush, she doesn't gab or get distracted by coworkers, your face is her priority. With her array of wax, threading, tweezers and etc she works the best gameplan for your brows and gets to work talking to you about what she's doing as she goes. She takes her time to make sure everything is perfect and even. Because I'm patchy and my brows look like trampled golf terrain due to bad waxes from other more expensive places, she recommended using castor oil to help regrow the sparse areas. She sells castor oil but doesn't push it and even recommends buying in bulk online if you want a ton of it. I bought a small 2 dollar bottle from her to try it out. She's warm, friendly, a perfectionist and a delicate hand. Also parking is easy which sells me on 90% of things.

Carlotta is simply the best for lash extensions. Not only does she do a great job and give you the look you want but she works with you to decide what will look best for your face and eyes. She has a very convenient studio which is cozy and comfortable for the couple hours that you will be there relaxing while she does her magic. I have done lash extensions for many years and the way she does them makes them stay on for weeks and her prices are super reasonable. Carlotta is very flexible and will work with your schedule and pretty much U can pick your time and she makes it work. Carlotta at Echelon is THE BEST at lashes! First of all, I asked her really last minute and she was very accommodating and made room for me in her schedule. As far as lashes go, these are hands down the best I have ever had or seen on anyone else. I have a lot of friends that get them done elsewhere and when they saw the lashes Carlotta did, they all asked for her information. Her technique allows her to make them look as natural or as dramatic as you want. I was going to Coachella and wanted something in the middle, something that would stand it in pictures but not be too dramatic when not wearing makeup and she did them perfectly. I was so nervous about getting my eyebrows micro-bladed, but Carla was more than happy to thoroughly explain the process. The numbing cream worked great, and she was happy to pause and reapply if and when it did get too uncomfortable. Everyone LOVES my eyebrows, as do I. This wasn't my first time getting eyelash extensions but the first two times I got them done from two other place they lasted not even a week and really didn't look like I wanted them too. I found this place on Groupon and decided to give it a shot. I am sooo happy that I did. My eyelashes came out so nice and was everything I wanted. I always get compliments on them. Also I got a fill at 3 weeks because that's what I had bought but they could have easily lasted 4 weeks. She was super nice and let me take my daughter with me. Absolutely AMAZING! First time getting my lashes done and I was so so nervous. Maya made me feel so comfortable and she gave me incredible knowledge over the phone about her lash extensions. I had a few different places recommend to me but I'm so thankful I chose Maya! She told me to try to stay away from the salt water by going in the ocean and I basically live at the beach so I went in the water (underwater ) multiple times and my lashes still look fabulous. LOL! I prefer more natural looking volume lashes. Thanks to Ashley's work, I get lots of compliments of my "natural" looking lashes - to the point that most people don't even know that they are enhanced. I don't even need to wear eye makeup! I look fresh and fabulous right when I wake up! It's also important to note that after all of these years, my lashes are still healthy and growing. I've been to several lash artists - and many of them are poor quality, damage your lashes and/or make you look like a drag queen (in a bad way.) During the pandemic, Ashley was also diligent about hygiene and keeping clients safe. She's also just an all around good, kind human being. You can't go wrong with choosing Ashley as your lash artist. The only downside is that you'll get addicted to how great you look and won't be able to stop your lash habit :)

I went somewhere in studio city and wasn't happy with my lashes as it was just a different kind of…read moretexture and I didn't like feeling nor the look much so I decided to see what I could find near Burbank area and found this one on yelp and was so pleased. I reached out to them and they got back to me in a timely manner. Her name was Karisa and she was super kind and worked around my busy schedule with 3 kiddos and took me in at 7am on a Saturday. The energy and vibe was so welcoming and i felt so relaxed as she applied my eyelash extensions. We chit chatted while she applied them and didn't feel nervous at all. Not to mention the lashes were a softer material, I don't know the names well but I def liked this material much better and the look! I will return to her whenever I want that look again.
