In response to Nate C…read more I'm glad you're going to take this as a learning experience, and in order to help with that, let me provide a more detailed history of events. The first time we used your service was indeed on 9/17/2018, and it did need to be rescheduled for Saturday. this was over a year ago now so it's hard to remember exactly why, but Heather has off Friday and Saturday, and the appointment was originally scheduled for Friday at 1-3PM before being rescheduled for the next day. Lets just say we're not convinced that it was us that was busy, but we do appreciate your company sending someone out on a day where you don't take service calls. As far as us not paying for a month, if you check the attached photos you can see that we didn't receive an invoice until the 9th of October, and paid it 2 days later. It is not our fault it took us a month to pay when we didn't receive an invoice until the 9th. This was also a year ago and has nothing to do with our recent issue in 2019. Outside of this weird delay in invoicing we actually came away with a positive outlook on your service after this visit. You're generally correct about the nature of the job in 2019 except that we never attempted a repair on the fan ourselves, it was installed over 20 years ago by Heather's ex. this time you did invoice us right away, except you then sent another, and another, at least once a day for 4 days. And called us multiple times. Considering we had to wait a month for an invoice last time I think you can understand our confusion and frustration at this constant heckling when we had to wait a month to even be asked to pay before. Hearing you bring up last time has shed some light on the situation at least. It seems you hounded us this time because we didn't pay for a month last time, without realizing that the reason we didn't pay earlier last time had nothing to do with us being unwilling or unable to, but because you yourselves took nearly a month to send us an invoice. Pretty funny as far as misunderstandings go. Now that I at least have a reason I'll add one more star to the score, but even if it's an exception and not the rule, it's still just as frustrating.

I've contacted the home owner also regarding this. I WOULD not recommend N & N Electric of Waunakee as they can't pay their invoices to a business that went out of their way to help them out. As you can see they approved this to be completed per his below email: I approved this a week ago when I first called, I said over and over again just repair ASAP please. I do not need an estimate. Thank you and please let me know if I can ever help! Michael Mell N & N Electric 608-316-6122

There's no doubt that Dale is a good electrician. His conduit bending was artful and overall, he…read moredid nice work. I haired him a couple years ago, agreeing to pay T&M or "Time and Materials"--this done to save him driving 50 miles to make an estimate. He was fine with it. Then I got his bill, and realized he was marking up materials, in some cases, bigly. That's not how T&M is supposed to work. He gets the materials and I pay him for those materials. He gets is hourly rate for shopping. But now, a couple years later, I've potentially lost $1,000 worth of food in our freezer (we're giving the food away as I type) because a GFCI he installed in my garage blew--which caused my freezer to go warm today. As a quick fix, I just installed a regular outlet, eliminating the GFCI, but when I took his GFCI out, it looked old--like used. Then I wondered, why, with a dedicated circuit, wouldn't he have installed a GFCI breaker in the service panel, rather than using the outlet gambit, which I think is simply not as reliable a system. I'm wondering if he had an (perhaps, old) outlet in his truck and maybe failed to buy new breakers at Menards, (as he installed two circuits) so, the outlet option. Maybe there's a reason why he'd use a GFCI "outlet" as opposed to a breaker, and maybe it was a new GFCI (I mean, how could I really know if it was new or not), but between the excessive charge for materials (in fairness, he did adjust his bill, down, after I complained), he's not someone I'll do business with ever again--but his work is nice. I now use RCR Electric and/or Northside Electric. Colin C Cross Plains, WI
