I saw two girls exit with orange juice that looked so good so I ordered that too. Fresh squeezed OJ-so sweet and fresh. Loved it! I never really order breakfast sandwiches (oatmeal for me every day) but wow, this was amazing. $6.50 for that breakfast sandwich. My husband ordered the Mista Toast and pastel de nata which he enjoyed as well. Service was excellent! This is an authentic Portuguese spot-everyone in there was speaking Portuguese, our waitress greeted us in Portuguese. We will be back!

The brownie part to the cheesecake slice was very good, but the cheesecake on top wasn't that great. We did enjoy the cookies. We came back for a third time on Monday Jan 26, 2026 and I purchased a brownie that tasted a month old at least! It was hard as a brick! Needless to say I didn't eat it! I also bought a chocolate mousse cake slice that was extremely fresh and good. As usual the cookies we purchased were all fresh and very good. All in all this bakery is a mixed bag you don't know if you're going to get something fresh or stale. Everything is either hit or miss. Not interesting, I saw mostly the local people coming in. They don't have any specials. The place is very small, with some groceries and a deli section, and a small bakery section. They also have a sitting area with coffee. Not the cleanest place I saw either. The products were a bit expensive compared to other Polish Markets. The service was nice but the servers don't know how to speak English. If you drive here, there is only street parking, which is hard to find in South River. There was one major problem with the products I bought., that I never experienced anywhere else. When I got home and opened the cold cuts, they were slippery and it smelled. I went back to the shop and tried getting my money back but they would not refund it. I also tired the "galareta" which is a jelly with meat and vegetables, it was tasteless and a bit dry. On the front counter, you'll find a variety of fresh baked breads, codfish fritters and turnovers, pastries, as well as of course espresso. In addition, they are a churrasqueria and offer delicious BBQ chicken, served in a giant tray over rice and fries. Their pastries, such as their bola de berlim and pastel de nata I'm not too much of a fan of compared to other spots in town, but their chicken and codfish fritter was delicious and their fries are even fresh cut. It was a delicious oniony pancake/fritter with chunks of fish in it (Thanks Brendan B for letting me know they are Pataniscas and Pataniscas de Bacalhau in particular!) Nonetheless, we placed an order and grabbed a table. I got the Iced Crème Brûlée Latte which was very well executed. It's rich, bold, and had notes of vanilla and burnt caramel. They definitely nailed the crème brûlée flavor. Even the Cortado was nicely presented and soothing. I liked that the flavor profile in the espresso was not overpowered by the milk or extraction process. I was also bummed that they didn't have their cool cups that say "Habibi" on them! Their branding is one of the things that caught my eye about them and it sucks to see them switching to nonbranded cups (assuming for cost reasons). Overall, it was worth a try!
