The BEST part is that she's my primary care Dr. but also my women's health Dr. so I can get regular physicals and women's health exams all in the same place. I truly believe she's worth the addition funds to receive her exceptional care. I can 100% see why she decided to go the concierge route - she's THAT great, people were flocking to her like crazy. Even if Dr Ohadi was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of patients at times, she NEVER showed it and ALWAYS put us (her patients) first, so much so that it was probably doing a number on her health/stress levels, not to mention her personal life as well, I'm sure. Since switching to a concierge practice, she has created the ability to spend more time with patients, therefore providing the absolute best care possible. I'm all for it! I can email her if I have a quick question or if I need my records sent to me. I can request appts pretty much any time that fits my schedule. And you actually get through to her office when you call, no long wait on hold or "we'll call you back later" or automated voice message systems (only after office hrs). Not to mention they go on lunch and don't open their doors until 20 minutes after the fact leaving multiple patients waiting outside. I never got the authorization I needed for the care I needed the fastest way to get the care I needed was changing my PCP through my insurance.
