I went In Yesterday Saturday for some new bras. I have always had an issue with bras as my chest is…read morevery large. When i walked in the associates were at the register talking no greeting. People all thru the store. I started to look for the size I had on which I couldn't find everything is color coded not by size. Finally after 5 mins of searching an older lady with blonde and grey hair came out from the back and asked me if I needed help. I said yes and expressed the concerns I had she said your not that size. She sounded as she didn't want to help me so Sent me in the dressing room and started to bring in some sizes that I knew just by looking at them they wouldn't fit. After trying on two bras she brought me in the bra that I told her I had on I showed her it was big and she then says "you should just get a breast reduction we won't find anything for you today". Then calls over another younger girl and tells her the same thing she looks at me and says yea you should. I've worked in customer service and I would never be this forward with people. I could have suggested online since in store they don't carry my size. Or maybe try resizing me again. Nope I left that store without buying anything and felt so defeated. It's always a hard experience when I go shopping and yesterday I felt like crying because the way that older lady made me feel. I will not be returning to this store as they don't understand that you should treat your customers good. I hope corporate sees this and does something about this I can't be the only one this has happened to.

This 5-star rating isn't so much about the store, as it is about the exceptional customer service…read moreprovided by an employee, Christian T., who helped my disabled brother and elderly mother this afternoon. His empathy, politeness, helpfulness and plain hard work were evident, as he measured my brother's feet to ensure he got the right size (my brother walked in wearing sneakers that were too big), and picked out several options for my brother to try on. Lo and behold, the first option Christian picked, fit my brother like a glove and were so comfortable that my brother didn't need to try any other pairs! Christian also displayed patience of a saint assisting my (indecisive) mother find a pair of shoes that she liked (they happened to be out of her size on the style she wanted), as she wandered throughout the store. What's even more impressive was that this young man was assisting other customers in between helping my brother and mother. There were some other employees on duty, but, during our visit, they were apparently in the back, and not directly assisting customers - at least not to the extent that Christian was. That level of service is extremely rare these days, so it is refreshing to experience it. Hopefully, Christian is working when you visit, so you will get to experience it too.

I'll preface this by saying that I hate leaving low reviews on a small business.. With that said,…read morethere's no room for poor customer service. Long story short, I was looking for a pair of Carolina Boots, for which they are a dealer for. They didn't have the particular ones I was looking for in stock, so I was offered the ability to try on other boots of that brand in hopes to find my size. Which we did (not the same model). I was then told that they could order them, I said great! Boots come in, I take them home and put them on. Close fit, but not quite right. Especially for something like boots that you're going to be wearing all the time. So a few days later I swing back by the store and ask if I could exchange them for a different size (still new in the box, tags, wrappers, didn't even lace them all the way). I was told albeit politely, that they cannot exchange or return them because they were "special order".... I'm sorry.. what?? Special order? You sell Carolina Boots..? Mind you, NONE OF THAT was mentioned prior to me agreeing to order them, or even when I took delivery of them. Politely told to kick rocks (pun intended). Any other shoe outlet would gladly either exchange and quite honestly except a return. Any local name brand store front, and definitely an online shop. This is one of the reasons why local stores go out of business sadly. Poor service. Because now I have a really really nice pair of boots that don't fit. In closing: if your policy is NO EXCHANGE/RETURN on "ordered" shoes, you need to disclose that before hand. ZERO excuses. Lazy and quite honestly it's unprofessional.

I took my mother shopping here recently and I have to say, I was really impressed with the level of…read moreservice the women working there provide. With racks of summer apparel on sale, my mom was elbows-deep into linens and knits, squealing with glee over the incredible prices for beautiful clothes. When the sizes she took in with her turned out to be way too big, the woman assisting her jumped right in and helped her with everything. The clothes are nice -- relaxed, casual separates and dresses with a toned-down color palate and tasteful hems. They have a few accessories like scarves and necklaces, and everything is of a quality you'd expect from a nicer chain store. The thing that impressed me the most was when a linen button down my mother absolutely loved wasn't in stock in her size, one of the women hopped on the computer and called several stores to locate it for her and have it directly shipped to her. I've seen this done at higher end department stores like Nordstrom and Saks, but never at a chain like this. Even though the top was a sale item and these women do not work on commission, this women went out of her way to make my mom happy, and for that I will forever be impressed with this J Jill.
