AND SLIPPERS!" So, I walked right back to the window full of shoes that inspired her wish, and walked through the door. Irving himself, I assume, was there cobbling a pair of shoes (I think he does a lot of shoe and zipper repairs). I wove through the many piles of shoes and other items and found a pair of pink, flowered, light-up sneakers for my daughter as well as a pair of fuzzy puppy slippers that I knew she would love to receive. Fast forward to Christmas: she was thrilled. Wears the sneaks all the time. The puppy slippers were too small. Luckily, Irving let me know during our conversation as I explored his shop that if the slippers didn't fit, I could certainly return them and he will happily get us the right size. When I get back to town, I will do so! Final note: the owner was so friendly and went above and beyond as far as customer service and engagement. He was delightful to chat with as I shopped.
