I did not know this wonderful store existed! I stumbled across it when I was at the Goodwill Thrift Store. The name piqued my interest and curiosity! What a wonderful store. The huge "Anime" statues(I suppose that's what they're called-I could be wrong)are for sale. Talk to management about the prices. I loved the Hello Kitty and Picchu toilet paper. I only bought the "Hello Kitty" tissues. So cute! I bought some soup and some hand lotion and a few other items. I did find the store's prices a little high, but I am on a budget. So everything is pricey to me. So, what do I know? Not much. I could have spent the entire day there. Pros: the cool merchandise. Clean and highly organized store. Cons: the young lady at the register was slouched down at the check out desk and did not seem like she wanted to be there. I could be wrong. Maybe she had a lot on her mind. Great asian store to shop at, clean, well organized, and customer service is top noch! Mainly character items and toys! Many character unique dining items! There is also food and drinks! I got a whitening toothpaste that I can't wait to try! Toothbrushes are plenty for sale! There are shampoos and soaps that I need to check out next time! Also creams and face wash! I love this place. It's bright an bustling. Pretty much a fully loaded Asian market minus fresh produce. There's tons of memorabilia, popular snacks, tons of random products from cosmetics to flip flops. The staff is always friendly and never minds helping explain or help you find a product. Absolutely recommend you visit Ebisu!!! We enjoyed looking at everything! I particularly enjoyed getting coins for the blind boxes. I got the capybaras and the Maneki-neko ("beckoning cat") for my desktop and my car. The mochi was tasty and the Hello Kitty nougat was delicious. They have beauty products and dish ware. Japanese store in Jax!!! Finally finally, ive been seeing the don Quixote stores all over my tiktok and we got a little piece of it here in Jacksonville. This store is filled to the brim with snacks, games, household items, and my favorite... Skincare! I was a little overreacting and excited for everything i did overflow my basket a little. Wild Saturday night checking out the new Ebisu here in Jax! When getting directions to this place, I immediately thought .. Of course it's off beach Blvd! All the good places in Jax are somewhere off beach Blvd. The store is remarkably clean and tidy. First impression: it's giving upscale CVS or Walgreens. It's got a little bit of everything - makeup, skincare, toilet paper, snacks, candy, drinks, toys, pens, pencils, cups, plates, random essentials you never thought you needed. I probably spent a good 30 mins in there just looking around before making my way to the line to pay. This place is family friendly and I appreciated the fact that they were open until 9:30 on Saturday evening. The line to pay moved fast and the front counter girl was in such good spirits for it being so busy and late, I'm sure she had a long day. I asked her what skin care product she's tried that she likes and she gave me a great recommendation about a moisturizer to try on my next visit - which falls under the shiseido brand (great brand) Will be grabbing that on my next trip. Can I just say that this is now this is my favorite store in Jax? I love how big and bright this place is! Anything and everything related to Japan is here. The isles are nice and wide and each product has a shelf tag that translates what the item is. For a little more info on it, I highly recommend Google Lens. I didn't get any figures or plushies, just 99% food. lotsa chips, lotsa sodas, and some strange purchases for me, grilled ray fin and corn tea. The fin tastes like it's from the sea but has the consistency of really tough jerky. After chewing it a bit it softened and is pretty good. The tea is NOT sweetened so if you can't drink it this way, add sweetener. Definitely like drinking liquid corn but I did enjoy it. For the chips my favorites are the Lays Cucumber flavor (which are surprisingly sweet ), the Lays Mustard Octopus flavor, and the Lays Grilled Squid flavor. The sodas we got stated on the bottle that they were made from the water on Mt. Fuji and they tasted great. I need more! read more

Fun and interesting store! Majority of the sold items are Japanese. Luckily they had translated notes on each item. I bought several snacks that you normally wouldn't see at American stores like crab flavored chips and mochi sweets. They also have cute mugs and other home items. What an awesome place to have in the city! Brightly lit and with friendly staff, Ebisu Jax has tons of food, drinks, toys, skincare and cosmetics, and even some other household items. We didn't use the gachapon or claw machines but were impressed with the variety. It's hard to say much about pricing because items obviously come at a bit of a premium due to being imported, but nothing made me shocked, and they did have some sales. I was glad to see that the items had basic English descriptions on the shelving price tags, although I did catch myself Googling a few things for more detail, so I'd suggest making sure you have your phone with you if you want/need to look up detailed information. It's fun, there's something for everyone, but also consider the following: --They have some figures but it's not heavy on anime or manga stuff--no wallscrolls, T-shirts, only a few key rings, et al. It's not an anime store. --It's not a grocery store, either. They have a lot of Japanese snacks and sodas/teas/other drinks but not even basics for cooking--no soya in example. So, it's fine for stocking up on snacks but you'll need to hit up another Asian market for things to actually cook. --They do however have a lot of cosmetics, personal care, and homegoods like air fresheners and laundry soap. Everything is well-presented, clear, and with labels offering English translation of what the item is as well. I would have liked some more groceries myself, but I can see the draw they have for people interested in Japanese goods in general. Pretty good selection of table service/dishes kinda stuff, too. This is such a cool venue!!! It's like a teleportation into scenes of cool anime and Japanese culture. It has all the bells and whistles of a place that has your inner child going oh and awe! There's toys, snacks, sweets, drink, stationery, dishes, plushies, makeup, healthcare products, and household gadgets. I was able to find some fun items for my adult children and the kid in myself. I could have spent more time in the venue looking around, but I didn't want to buy more stuff than my budget could afford in one visit. The store is clean, bright, and organized! Such an awesome store. I am part Japanese and love the culture, products and housewares. I love Daiso but we do not have that here. I am not super into Anime but there are so many items that any Anime lover would have to go here! My nephew isn't crazy into Anime but does like Pokemon and found some very cool stuff. I always find some interesting drinks but can also find golden oolong tea. They have popular snacks, cookies, crackers, drinks, soda, coffee, teas and other food items, mostly shelf stable. They also have some cool housewares, decorating items, toys, paper goods, even toilet paper and tissues with Hello Kitty. There are trading cards, claw machines, health and beauty products and more. There is always something to discover. It is light and bright inside, the isles aren't too packed and they are fairly wide. It is a nice shopping/browsing experience. This is an Asian specially store that does have a ton of cute vending type machines, Asian snacks and San Rio type items. HOWEVER, I am familiar with the pricing of Totoro, Hello Kitty, etc. I don't know if the rent is high in their location, but the prices are off the charts. A tiny teacup with maybe a saucer was in the 17.00 range. I have bought a zillion items with this type of theme, and even though you expect to pay more, nothing like the prices I saw. I traveled here from Tallahassee since I miss the Japanese markets in LA. This place is great! It's definitely not like a Marukai or Nijiya or Tokyo Central in that it doesn't have traditional Japanese groceries. It's more like a Japanese culture intro into popular snacks and pop culture items. It does have a really extensive beauty selection like you'd find in a traditional Japanese grocery store.
