Romashka is a European market and deli that carries a great assortment of Eastern European goods. I stumbled upon it while at a different international store in the same plaza. Romashka has a great assortment of products from canned goods and jarred goods to dry pastas and grains and has a frozen section for yummy eats such as pelmeni and perogies. There is also an assortment of caviar and other goods. As you walk around the store there are plenty of specialty meats in the deli section such as bologna made with beef or veal, sausages, salami's, head cheese, as well as hot and cold smoked fish. The owner comes in early and makes fresh baked goods. The eclairs were good, the cheese Danish was absolutely amazing and the cherry Danish was wonderful. She also makes an assortment of breads, rolls and sweets such as napoleons and cakes. The store has a great selection of tea. I am a tea drinker and found a black currant hibiscus tea that I have never seen anywhere else, it is wonderful! There is a huge selection and if you like tea, you are bound to find something new and enjoyable. There is a massive selection of chocolates and candies. There are boxed candies, chocolate and candy bars and a wide variety of bulk candies for purchase. I am sure you can find something to satisfy any sweet tooth. Overall I had a nice time, we spent about a half hour exploring all of the goodies this deli and bakery has to offer. The proprietor was very nice and even provided some tips for preparing some items that I didn't know what I would do with. I really liked this store and will definitely return!

Ukrainian-owned Romashka used to have fresh pastries. This time I came specifically for fresh Easter Eastern European/Russian goodies, but didn't find any because the master baker wasn't available. Left with this gingerbread cookie that turned out to be really good. Usually gingerbread cookies that also look good tend to taste like cardboard. I'm looking at you gingerbread house!

I don't read Ukrainian/Russian so I can't comment about much but I am a first generation American born Ukrainian and I love this place. I've gotten fresh pickles, many kinds of horseradish and fresh meat - both kielbasa and the smaller links, candy, wafers and authentic frozen pierogis that taste like babchi's. Minimal staff (one maybe two people are working the whole store every time I've been) but they're straightforward and have delicious and reasonably priced food.

Found this shop on accident. We were leaving OMG Cafe in the same plaza when we saw this and got interested. Decided to check it out. Walking in was like walking into an old European grocery store. Reminded me of the shops we would frequent when my husband was stationed in Gaeta, Italy. My girls loved the variety of candies and treats that were new to them. They had everything from candies, cakes, cookies and other bakery items to pickled veggies, sardines, seafood, pasta, condiments, wine and liquor. Everything was well displayed and organized. I read somewhere that it is a Ukrainian shop but we also saw a lot of Russian products. Several items listed as "last chance" and it made us wonder if it had anything to do with supply issues and the current conflict happening in the area. Regardless, we were happy to support local business owners from either. It's such a hard time. The shop is great! We spent a while browsing and trying to understand what each product was. (It was not in English) my girls picked up pasta, cake, cookies, hazelnut spread, and a couple of fruit drinks. In recommend this shop if you're looking for a bit or culture and something different.

I liked the items that were available but would always like a bigger selection like babka, pierogi and kielbasa.

The huge "Anime" statues(I suppose that's what they're called-I could be wrong)are for sale. Talk to management about the prices. I loved the Hello Kitty and Picchu toilet paper. I only bought the "Hello Kitty" tissues. So cute! I bought some soup and some hand lotion and a few other items. I did find the store's prices a little high, but I am on a budget. So everything is pricey to me. So, what do I know? Not much. I could have spent the entire day there. Pros: the cool merchandise. Clean and highly organized store. Cons: the young lady at the register was slouched down at the check out desk and did not seem like she wanted to be there. I could be wrong. Maybe she had a lot on her mind. But, when I checked out she was pleasant enough. Recommend? Yes-have loads of fun!!!'

They have a good selection of grocery items that should appeal to looking for treats from Europe. The staff here was friendly enough and the market itself had a no-frills type atmosphere, but it was pleasant enough wandering through the aisles. I was also happy to see they carried products from Schmalz's, a New Jersey based sausage maker. Schmalz's makes a wonderful German style hot dog. I really am impressed with not only this European grocer, but the multiple European grocers located in Jacksonville, Florida. They have a strong emphasis on products from eastern Europe and offer a great variety of items that you will not find at your local Winn-Dixie, Publix, Walmart or other supermarkets. Overall, I will give here five stars overall and it definitely has my recommendation.
