I handed him the key and I went back into my apartment to work on other tasks. It took about 4 hour to do both the interior and exterior. He explained how he couldn't really fix the scratches because the thin coating on my paint was too thin. I understood because I personally haven't taken the time to take care of my car all these years. He was able to apply wax though. The car looked so shiny and clean. The interior really felt close to being brand new! We didn't have plans to go out that day but we couldn't resist the urge to go out in our "brand new" car and drove to Old City. I am a first time customer and I brought my 11-year-old car in for a deep interior clean and exterior clean and detail and what I received was an incredible miracle! When I saw my car after Peter and his son finished and showed me the car I was in absolute awe and amazement and wanted to cry tears of joy. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have been trying for months to reach this business by phone, and have not had one phone call returned, despite leaving a couple of messages. I finally decided to try reaching out through Yelp. I thought that I'd finally made some headway, as shortly after filling out the form, I received a response with a list of their services and their prices. But it turns out that was merely an automated system response. Where it gets worse is I responded with the service that I would have liked. . . But crickets. Even though Yelp showed that my message was "Read". I gave them a few days, assuming that they were just busy. But I can't believe that a business can be so busy as to not provide at least an acknowledgement. My final communication was reaching out to thank them for their initial automated response and mentioning that I assume they have no availability. And again. . . crickets. The final straw was the notification that my message on Yelp had indeed been received and "Read", yet still ignored. I really wanted and tried to support this women-owned business, but I am extremely disappointed in their lack of communication. Reply to Business Owner's Response: A quick search of my cell phone's call history shows that I did in fact call the correct number. The screenshot below shows that I have been trying to reach out to you since May 2025. And if you look closer, you will see that each of the icons are outgoing calls. Not one call back was ever received from you, despite the voicemail messages that I left. Additionally, I still have my landline, so a couple of calls were also made using that phone number. However, I don't feel that it's necessary to provide a screenshot of those call records. After my last call of October 28, 2025, I finally reached out to you through Yelp in November 2025, which leads us to this review. I work right next door so it was very convenient for me to leave it before work and walk over to pick it up on my lunch break. I have a Ford Escape so my detail cost me more than $100 (I forget the exact price now) but I remember looking up the price and finding that this was very normal and what I should be paying for a detail since I have a truck. You have to remember that you're getting a DETAIL, not a quick wash. They covered every single spec of my car and made it look nice and new. I am very picky and I did not find a spot left unclean. I was extremely pleased with the work. I have cream interior and it looked so beautiful when my detailing was done. I couldn't believe how shiny and new my tires looked and how long that shine held up. Oh yes... 2 of my tires were dry rotting and the owner was nice enough to tell me about it for my safety. I greatly appreciated that. I was getting my car inspected soon after and my mechanic confirmed that yes, my tires are in fact dry rotting. It's something that's happening with Michelin's lately. But yes, anyway, I really appreciated J&B giving me the heads up because I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I am so glad I found this place.
