Its not exactly the size of say, Virgin Active - but it has all the machines that you need for a good workout. On first glance, it's not a particularly girlie gym. There are definitely more men then women who go here, but it is far from intimidating if you are a girl and want to join. One of the best qualities of this gym, and what sets it apart from the big guns, is the way that the fees are structured. With big gyms it is difficult to get anything other than a 1 year contract, but here, you can buy daily passes, 1 month/3month and 6 month memberships as well as a yearly membership. Myles also provides 'low income' reduced rates for people who are students, au pairs, unwaged etc. Bodybuilders and fitness fanatics, you can also buy all your Reflex products here, such as nutritional supplements, meal replacement powders and protein and energy bars. Dumbells only go up to 30KG which really isn't much of a struggle. It only has one barbell bench press which doubles as a squat rack which is normally being used. Only one Olympic bar (20KG) which is the one being used on the bench/squat rack meaning no deadlifts. The people in there seem to spend more time on their phones while occupying the benches than lifting on them. On the plus side, it is very cheap, open 24 hours, has CCTV so there should be no fear of going at night and is very clean. It's not the worst gym around (nowhere near as bad as Planet fitness) but as a serious lifter, the skinny teenagers and part-time-once-a-week-gym-goers just get in my way so it is a big no no for me.
