I called to make sure they had the balloon and told the young lady I would be there in the evening to pick up. Party Place is nestled in the corner of Burtonsville shopping center. Getting into this shopping area can be complex but I was able to find a spot this Saturday evening. The store is small but has a vast variety of balloons, party decor, utensils, holiday decorations & more. A young lady name Ena assisted me and she was super sweet & pleasant. I walked through the store while she blowed up my balloon and I ended up adding a few more balloons along with some decor for the table & cake. The Party Place will now be my go-to spot for balloons & more. They are affordable, the store front is clean, there's no long wait and service by Ena was great. I went in for 1 item, came out with 6 lol.

Checking into this spot (I didn't see the email they sent me the day before) was a little weird…read morelol. You had to park in the back of the building and go up some slipper steep stairs. They apparently don't let folks in from the front door? No one was there to greet us or check us in. It was a self check in kinda ordeal. We had to put all the lights on and call them for them to remote unlock the door. There were two sets for the photos in the suite. It's a cool concept, pretty self sufficient. We had the photo areas to ourselves thankfully because there wouldn't be a lot of space for larger groups. The heart shaped photo area has spotlights on the ceiling and they provide a tripod. The tripod wasn't the best, I'd recommend bringing your own. You had to strategically set up the tripod so you only capture the set up and not the ceiling or other parts of the suite. I feel like 1hr and 30 mins would've been perfect. The 1 hr session booked was $125. Was it worth it? I think so. If they had a different sets I might go. We don't have access to the luxebloom bar, but from what I could see it looked really nice downstairs. It would be a cute girly date hangout in the spring. Even great for Mother's Day. Overall, it was a nice and I think I'll be back for the luxebloom bar at some point. There's not a ton of parking in the front or back of building so if you're going for an event make sure to get there early. There's one restroom that folks can use. No elevator to 2nd floor so if you're in a wheelchair this isn't a ADA compliant kinda spot for you.

I enjoyed learning knife and ninja star throwing. The variety of weapons kept the games fun. My friend and I alternated between a traditional target, tic-tac-toe, and zombie target practice. I booked the room for two and with taxes it was about $63 for the same experience and other rooms you are looking at $70 or more for two. The staff were very pleasant and gave us thorough instructions. They also have a tablet available for you to choose Spotify songs of your choice. The music sounds so great coming through the speakers. You are given 25 minutes to paint in a dark/black light room. They give you paint brushes, a canvas, a few colors of paint and some objects to use to make different designs. The objects in my opinion didn't really work in the way that they were probably intended to. However, they gave a decent amount of paint and we had a ball! Towards the last five minutes, they give you some paint guns in which you can have a battle with your friends or spray the walls if desired. If you are into axe throwing, they also have that available.
