Place mats are on the table. Silverware and condiments were brought over after we ordered. Our burgers came with a side of fries. The burgers were cooked to order and are very juicy. Definitely eat these over your plate and don't plan to put it down once you pick it up. It's messy, but very tasty. It's one of those burgers you have to squish down to fit in your mouth. Plenty of fresh toppings. Soft bun. Big patty. Definitely recommend if in search of a burger.

The burger, the surf and turf was good. Lots of crayfish bursting out. Overall, it was a decent burger but I'm not sure whether the beef or the fish was the star and thus the burger while tasted good didn't shine. What did shine were the chips/crisps. It's a large order to share and it tastes delicious. The beer though, was a good selection. One thing is I had to ask for the bar menu. Perhaps they just assumed I'd be happy with looking at the taps. The service, informative, polite, patient, though not overly friendly. I'd go again if not just for the beer and chips.

If local Italians eat here, you know it's a good, authentic restaurant. We were sat upstairs close to the big window and had a wonderful view of the lake. We each ordered the Lake Fish Tasting Menu that comes with: -Starter with four small bites: fried crunchy fish ball, fried fish fillet, Lake Fish mousse, and marinated Lake Fish -Main course: Risotto with Lake Fish -Second course: Lake Como White fish breaded and grilled -Dessert: Lemon Sorbet The price (in July 2024) was 42 euros per person and it was a great deal for all the food included. We also enjoyed a bottle of refreshing white wine which I didn't get the name of. We heard about this restaurant from the Netflix show called Dogs, featuring Ice, a Golden Retriever who helped his owner fish in Lake Como. We were heartbroken to hear from the owner's daughter, Gaia, that Ice had passed a few months ago at 15 years old. There were lots of pictures of him all over the restaurant which was so awesome to see! This was the first time we really had to rely on mangled Italian and hand gestures. This did not stop our waitress at all, who spoke to us as if we could understand her and were just pretending. From fish and chips (on the menu as "fish and chips" - go figure), to pizza to zucchini flower gnocchi - everything was yummy. It certainly seemed to be a hit with the lunch crowd, and I don't disagree so I'll call it a win.
