We spent 3 weeks in this town and got to know many of the vendors and this place was, by far, such a pleasure to come and shop. The family who runs it is very accommodating, speak English ( for all the American and British travelers who come here) and carry so many authentic Italian products. We even purchased several jars of one sauce to take back to CA. One of the best parts of this place is Sunny, the young woman who works there- what a pleasant, helpful and kind person. She will make you want to come back and shop here just to have her help you. I hope she gets some credit for the good work she does there.

The married shop owners, Enriqio and Annarita, are so friendly and were both so patient with us. Annarita's English is good and fluent and I had to do some combination of gesturing and guessing with Enriqio. We ended up coming here three times for salami sandwiches. We told Annarita the rough specifications: focaccia, Milanese salami, a medium cheese and sun dried tomatoes, and they made it happen. It cost about the same as a subway sandwich but we felt we got so much more! Delicious and great service. We will be back!

I opted for a vegan one with hummus and found it delightful. Could be a bit more full but overall it was great for a lunch. Fast service too. And a fair price. Behold the flatbread sandwich, Italian style…read more La Piadineria specializes in a variety of flatbread sandwiches filled with cheese, vegetables, and/or meat. I didn't know which one to pick so I got one of the most basic ones: La Leggenda (crudo, squacquerone, rucola). Nonetheless, each and every one of the varieties sounded delicious with incredibly fresh ingredients. My crudo was thinly sliced and flavorful. The squacquerone was soft and the rucola was a hefty handful, sharp and peppery. The overall product was perfectly balanced in textures and flavor. Think of the piadine like a pizza folded in half, a half moon tortilla, or two oversized crispy wafers blanketing salty ham and melted cheese. The result is bigger than your face and large enough to feed two people. La Piadineria was definitely the right place for an authentic snack and quick bite, as we were looking for something not targeted to tourists. The piadineria was spacious and clean. It is a casual setting where you order from the counter and bring the food back to your seat. Basically, it's a fast food chain. We had gone late in the afternoon and there was only one worker there and two other customers. It was quiet and a nice change of pace after filtering through the crowds of Piazza delle Erbe. The piadines are inexpensive ranging in cost from about 3 to 5 euros. Drinks are at most 2 euro, including beer.
