I've never been to other Eatalys, so when I read that this location isn't as good as others it's disappointing. I expected it to be grander, a building full of wonders. There were some wonders. I had two gelato samples that were out of this world, and a slice of delicious mortadella. I saw pizza slices and sandwiches that looked amazing, but so crazy expensive. And though it's not the fault of this place, it's not cool to have to pay (not a small amount, either) to park to buy items in the market. There are other gourmet Italian stores where parking is free. I will say that were I shopping to make a nice meal there are definitely upscale ingredients that look great. Sauces and pastas and oils and meat -- it's all very nice. And if I were well off I wouldn't think twice about buying items from the glass cases. I have no interest in trying the two restaurants, however. There's nothing about them that was a particular draw (vs items for sale in the market). If I were at City Place for a reason, I'd definitely go back and purchase a few things. Oh -- the focaccia at the bread section was SO tempting! I don't see making a trip there just for Eataly though. Not when you combine paid parking and high-priced fare.

They have indoor & outdoor seating. We sat outside on a beautiful night and enjoyed the music from the plaza. I was most excited about the homemade pastas that they have. If you go inside you can see them making the pasta. My friend and I shared the homemade focaccia bread, the octopus and the tortellini stuffed with butternut squash. The food was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and helpful however they need to work on their service a little bit more. They brought us out our second course and the dirty & emoty plates were still on our table.

Loved our experience here the wait was a bit long but they accommodated us without a reservation a very short time after they had just opened. Loved browsing In The market while we waited !

This was our first time visiting the Eataly in West Palm Beach. My first impression was that the place was crowded like it should be since they have a marketplace that offers variety of items that caters to all people including gluten free pastas, extra virgin olive oil, and Italian wines. My fiancee and I dined in at one of the restaurants there on the back of the marketplace. The food was okay, made from scratch pastas and decent appetizers. The service was slow. Our server's first impression was very unkempt, disheveled, and inefficient. She/he (I wasn't sure), had stains on the back of the uniform. We sat there waiting for 15-20mins before the busser noticed that we were there, she brought out the waters herself because the server didn't even know customers were seating in her section. Different servers brought out the food to us. She didn't remember our orders so after waiting 30 mins after water was served, she came and asked what our orders were because the chefs messed up the ticket. The excuse didn't make sense. I extended my parking 2 times on the parking app. This restaurant is the one located all the way in the back to the left hand side before you go out the back doors, across from the pastries shop. I would recommend the restaurant to others to try but not if it comes with the server that waited on us.

We had a good visit to Eataly in City Place. We were able to find an on street parking spot, but most folks were lined up for one of the garage parking venues. Valet parking was also available for $15. We had been to Eataly in New York many years back and had fun exploring there. This marketplace is smaller and easy to navigate. We were able to wander around. There were areas for produce, wine, chocolates, cheese, prosciutto and salamis, pastries, bread, gelato, pasta, coffee, and other Italian products. They also had premade food like panini sandwiches and pizza to pick up and go. We tried one of their two restaurants -- Pizza and Pasta. Next time, we'd do the other one. We got to taste some strawberries in syrup and ginger with turmeric -- both in a sweet sherry -- being given out as samples. Bought a couple mini pastries for dessert --lemon tarts and Chantilly puffs -- for each of us (4 for $10.49); and he got a very good lavazza espresso. Although some things are a tad expensive, and more folks were looking rather than buying, they should do quite well here. It's a nice addition to West Palm.

Came here to grab a sweet treat after dinner and the petites are definitely pricey. My favorite was the fruit tart and the lemon meringue. So refreshing and very small to pop inside your mouth. The chocolate for the fudge was very rich and decadent. I don't think I would get that one again.

We enjoyed a visit to Eataly in New York and we we were excited when the West Palm Eataly opened. Not quite the same vibe as New York but the staff at each station were pleasant and helpful. We walked around deciding where we were returning after our lunch. After our lunch we had to visit the pastry shop. We shared four of the mini pastries and I enjoyed a LaVazza espresso. A nice finish to our visit!

Eataly's appeal and aura is undeniable. Housed in the old Harriet Himmel theater, it is a beautiful building and adds to the charm that Eataly clearly works hard to exude. With it being a lovely building with seemingly authentic Italian fares, I want to have nothing but good things to say. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. We visited the pizza and pasta restaurant to celebrate my parents' anniversary. With the restaurant being recently opened, we knew to arrive early to put our name in for a table. Also due to the fact that we were told they wouldn't take reservations for parties larger than six (we were eight). We were put on the waitlist at 5:45 and told that we were at the top of the list and would be seated at 8:00 at the latest. Fast forward three hours and we were still waiting. It seemed to me that they were willing to seat multiple smaller parties of four when they could have easily adjusted to accommodate our group. It felt like more of an issue of optimization than being busy. It wasn't a good look. When we were finally seated, the service was fine and the food was good. We had a variety of dishes (mostly pizza) that all were flavorful. I liked the Salumiere a lot. However, I think for the size of the plates, the price is a bit high. For Cityplace it's more or less on par with the other restaurants though. I'm in no rush to eat at the restaurant again, but the store offerings might draw us back in. Eataly is a nice addition to a rejuvenated Cityplace. Hopefully they'll work out the kinks soon.

When we arrived the place was packed. The vibes were nice, there was live music on the balcony. The one thing that was pretty annoying was the fact that the bar wasn't first come first serve. I've never been to a place downtown west palm beach that had a waiting list for the bar. We got the bolognese which was pretty good with a nice sized portion. The tiramisu was also delicious.

Having visited Eataly's in Italy (where surprisingly it's really more of a book store with a small cafe), Manhattan (my favorite), Dallas (a close second to Manhattan), Miami (my least favorite) and just recently, the newly opened Palm Beach location, you could say, I'm an Eataly's fan. However, I must admit that not all locations are up to snuff. The newly open Palm Beach location is a great example of this chains inconsistency. I believe the Palm Beach location is the smallest of all the U.S. Eataly's I've visited. Housed in the beautiful Italian food hall building, I must admit it was the nicest looking location of all the Eataly's I've visited. Unfortunately it wasn't close to the best. Unlike the Miami Eataly, where I felt like I was eating in a cafeteria (see my review), the dining areas were quaint and welcoming. The shopping experience was also well thought out. As one who is not a shopper and usually has to be dragged by my wife through the exercise, It was a pleasure walking throughout the location and shopping for our favorite goodies. Eataly also offers a variety of Italian-style sandwiches, often featuring housemade bread like focaccia or ciabatta, high-quality Italian meats (prosciutto, mortadella, salami), fresh cheeses, and vibrant spreads like salsa verde. As always, I chose my favorite, the savory porchetta which was, as I expected, excellent. It's a must have if you visit an Eataly. Although I didn't have time for a slice of one of their many fantastic pizzas, the selection looked just a great as I've seen and enjoyed at other Eataly's. One other note, we did take home and enjoyed their homemade lasagna. It was as good as always. Creamy and rich with a wonderful sauce that tastes like it was just shipped over from Italy. You won't find a better lasagna anywhere! For all that good, there were a couple of definite negatives. Unlike all the other Eataly's, the Palm Beach Eataly doesn't make their own bread on the premises! This is a definite issue for one who appreciates freshly made bread. We did take a "shipped in" loaf of the bread home and it was ok but it tasted and had the consistency of a "shipped in" bread (not bad but not the crisp exterior and chewy interior of a freshly baked bread). Although the bread was clearly an issue, the quality of my favorite desert was most definitely a deal breaker! One of my favorite things at Eataly is their cannoli's. They "usually feature crisp but not too thick shells and wonderfully creamy fillings. Unfortunately, the quality of the Palm Beach location's cannoli's wasn't close to what I had enjoyed at all the other Eataly's. The shells were fine but the filling was not as creamy almost gritty and the taste of the filling was much too sugary (could be that the over abundance of sugar is what created the grittiness)! In all fairness, we didn't have time to try out one of their restaurants, which could be up to their high standards but, what we did get just wasn't up to what we have previously known to be an Eataly experience. There's a lot of buzz about Eataly grand openings with miles long lines forming for each but, If you want to get the best Eataly experience, the REAL DEAL, the Manhattan location is the place to go followed by the Dallas location. Everywhere else, (at least with regards to the locations I've visited) you'll ask yourself, what's the big deal.

First off the usual long wait times and empty tables so we sat at the bar . The bartender wasn't too nice and friendly ordered water while we made up our minds for our dinner and he gave me a glass of water with no ice . So I had to order ice for my water . Placed our order for tagliata di manzo One was ordered medium and medium well . Food came out and you literally get 4-5 strips of steak and half a plate of rustic potatoes . The 3-4 pieces that were edible were good but then we got served a big chuck of just Fat . I let one of the bartender know of the issue Regan was very nice and went ahead and comp our dessert . Our tiramisu was good no issues can't go wrong with a sweet . Overall good experience Regan finished our note on a good note

Eataly has at last arrived in downtown West Palm Beach's City Place! First conceived in New York City's Flatiron District by Celebrity and controversial Chef Mario Battali of Greenwich Village's Babbo fame, it's now right in my backyard! . Eataly doesn't disappoint! I'm reminded of a KISS concert's opening announcement: "you wanted the best, you've gotten the best." Prices at the restaurants, cafes and market aren't for the faint hearted. You will spend lots of money but you get for what you pay. As 'ole Ben Franklin was said to have said: "The bitterness of poor quality lasts longer than the sweetness of low price."

I checked out Eataly on December 15, and wow--it was packed. The place was extremely busy, which wasn't surprising since it had just opened that Friday. Eataly is an Italian restaurant and market offering a wide variety of pasta, pizza, and desserts, along with an impressive selection of Italian wines, cheeses, and cured meats. There's a lot to take in, and it definitely feels like a destination spot. We picked up a few mini tarts--my favorite Italian desserts--and they were, of course, delicious. No complaints there. I'd definitely go back, but I'll probably wait until the hype dies down a bit so I can fully enjoy the experience without the crowds.

To me, theirs is the best. The chopped liver is surprising - rich but never grainy. My guilty pleasures include their curry chicken salad and macaroni salad. The butcher shop is great - although there are times when only one butcher is on duty and the wait is too long. The bakery has "everything" and their pizza shop outstanding. Their New York style pizza is one of the best anywhere in South Florida. Although I don't buy my wines there, their offerings are impressive - a broad and deep shop. Finally, their people are almost always friendly and helpful. Overall, I always have a comfortable shopping experience.
