Salmon with Sweet Potato Mash & Veggies
Anna S.

We drove to Palm Beach Gardens for a few days with another couple. It was our first time for all of us dining at Al Fresco. It will not be our last. We all had an incredible meal. Fish of the Day, Salmon, Duck and dessert. We were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. We chose to sit inside as it was just a bit windy for our liking. We were seated at a table by the window and enjoyed the breathtaking view! Many patrons were dining outside. Our server, Andrea, was pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Al Fresco "Golfballs" appetizer for the table. Five veal and beef meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce. The flavor was well balanced. I always order duck if it is on the menu. In this case it was a roasted half duck in an apricot glaze. Every bite was mouthwatering. It was cooked to perfection; very tender, not greasy. I highly recommend Al Fresco! You will not be disappointed.

Ortega, Enzo, Kris, all the staff all the management run this place like a tight ship. Southern outpost of Pizza Al Fresco & sister to RENATOS & AQUA, Al FRESCO @ Par 3 is wonderful ocean side dining with a bit of Capri thrown in. Pizzas, Pastas, Fish, beautiful salads & grilled meats.

When asked where did I wanna go for my birthday lunch? Of course my answer was al fresco! The parking lot was a packed when we arrived. We bypassed valet and self parked. We walked upstairs to the hostess stand, requested outdoor seating and were seated right away. The initial thought of sitting outside in the summer heat was stifling, but the fans were blowing and the ocean breeze was flowing. Our waiter came over took our drink orders without delay. I settled on the Gavoty rosé which was initially dry but went down easier with each sip. If you are a mushroom lover like myself, be sure to try the portobello salad and Quattro Stagioni pizza. The balsamic vinaigrette was a bit tangy but the roasted mushrooms were delicious with the goat cheese. Now for the best part, the pizza...my goodness you can never have enough parmigiano in my opinion and what better way to pair prosciutto than with mushrooms and artichokes. It's an explosion of flavor in every bite. The portions are enough to share if you aren't tempted to keep indulging. The chocolate mousse was an incredible finale. Brilliantly fluffy, luscious, not rich but smooth like icecream for the ultimate treat. Awesome service, beautiful view and delicious food, what more could I ask for!

I have wanted to come here for years. I understand this is the sister restaurant to Renato's and Acqua Café. I called two weeks in advance to make week night dinner reservations for four. There was valet parking but plenty of spots to self park. The Al Fresco Restaurant & Bar is above the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Club Pro Shop. There are indoor tables and seating on the open-air patio with spectacular oceanfront views. There were fans & a cool breeze, sitting outside was comfortable in the end of May. The dinner menu had something for everyone. Starters, salads, homemade pastas, risotto, pizza's and entrees including branzino, salmon, veal, ossobucco & four chicken options. There is a $7 fee for sharing entrees. We were seated on the patio, overlooking the golf course & ocean. Miguel our waiter took very good care of us, We started by sharing an eggplant rollatini appetizer, while friends enjoyed a portobello. I understand that they have homemade pastas here so I opted for lobster ravioli, and a pink cream sauce that was outrageous. My husband enjoyed the fettuccine Bolognese friends enjoyed the vongole with clams and a duck entree. For dessert we shared a chocolate moose over a brownie. Portions were very generous we brought enough leftovers home for another meal.

The views of the ocean and the golf course are fantastic! I found the food to be very average. The menu has salads, various appetizers such as calamari, sandwiches, pizzas, pasta entrees and seafood. I asked the waitress if the roasted turkey was deli meat or actually freshly baked turkey and she said t it was sliced bought turkey, I asked again, then she changed what she said and I was rather skeptical. My friend ordered the turkey sandwich and he said it was not deli turkey and that it was okay. Another friend ordered the BLT sandwich which he enjoyed. I went with a white pizza which has about six slices. The crust was very thin which I like and it was flaky, which was a little strange for pizza. They added goat cheese however it was not melted just crumbles added to the pizza. They have valet parking and self parking in the front. .

Great location for a late lunch at the Par 3 Golf Course. Go upstairs at the clubhouse and enjoy the ocean breeze at the outdoor balcony with great views overlooking the golf course and the Atlantic Ocean. For lunch, get the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich. Served with shoestring fries, it is so delicious. Our friends enjoyed their Margherita Pizzas. So relaxing to enjoy a beautiful spring day in Palm Beach County. Bonus: parking is free.

Ask the Community - Al Fresco

Are they open Xmas day?

They have been open in the past years. I would double check 561-273-4130

Do they take reservations for lunch?

Dinner only starting 4 pm, so we were told on the phone.

Are they opened on Labor Day?

I would give them a call and ask.

The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and everything just feels clean, modern, and well put together. We started with a fresh salad w mozzarella and salami. Then the pizza came out... and it completely exceeded expectations. We got two pies -- one gluten-free and one regular -- and both were outstanding. The gluten-free pizza was done perfectly (which is rare), with great texture and flavor -- didn't feel like you were missing out at all. But the real standout was the square white pizza with mushrooms and meatballs. That thing was unreal. Perfectly crispy edges, soft inside, rich cheese, and packed with flavor. Honestly, for Florida pizza, this was next level. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and actually care about execution. Service was great, everything came out smoothly, and the entire experience was top tier. Easy 10/10. Definitely a go-to spot -- will 100% be back.

The best part of the meal was the bread and olive oil they gave us in the beginning of the meal. Bread was warm, crackly crust. We sat in the inside but the windows were open to the outside so you still feel like you're part of the life happening outdoors. I'm also a really big fan of their bar area. There partial indoor/outdoor seating. The inside has a real cute rustic Italian vibe. Our waitress Summer was amazing! Since it was our first time she helped guide us through the menu and made some great recommendations. She informed us that it is a scratch kitchen so I was excited to taste some fresh food. We started off with her recommendation of the house baked artisan bread. It does change, but it was absolutely delicious! My favorite was the sesame sourdough. For entree we got the Caesar salad which I loved. It was perfectly dressed with just the right amount of dressing and the dressing had a great balance of zest. The croutons were also crunchy and fresh. We also got the Piccante pizza which was so yummy! It has spicy salami and peppadews. I personally didn't find the pizza to be spicy but I am definitely not "Spicy Sensitive". I absolutely loved the little peppadews. They were like little bursts of flavor when you would bite into one. For dessert we got Summer's recommendation of the raspberry lemon bombolini as she told us the chef was testing out the flavors. It was so so good!! The bombolini itself was not greasy at all and was stuffed with a bunch of the raspberry cream. The lemon icing on top was nice and tart and made your mouth water with every bite! Definitely a great place to hang out.

I just want to touch base about my most recent visit to Lenora's. I've been to this location about three times. This is the location on Dixie Highway. They have open air seating, which is really nice on most evenings. This particular evening we arrived about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close more like 35 minutes before they were scheduled to close at 10 PM. It was a Friday night. We ordered a pizza and the rigatoni with mushrooms and cream sauce and I wanted to add a piece of salmon to it. After we sat down, my boyfriend's pizza came out in about seven minutes maximum. It was piping hot. The cheese was kind of sloppy and all over the place. It didn't really look like it was made with love. But he said it was good. My food however, took about 20 to 25 minutes longer than his pizza did. He was done eating his entire pizza before my food came out. That's never a good situation. They could've at least warned us of that, or let us know that that would be the case if they didn't realize it until they started making the food. There were only two other tables there. Once my food did come out, the salmon that I added for protein was almost $15. Obscene! I could get almost 3 pounds of salmon for that amount. It was maybe a 6 ounce piece maybe. And when they brought it out, it was raw in the middle. So I had to send it back and that was not met with a positive attitude, even though we brought up the issue with a very positive attitude despite having to wait almost 30 minutes for me to even get my food after my boyfriend had finished his pizza. They brought the salmon back and when they returned it, the employee was very pleasant and asked if I wanted to check it first. I ended up eating half of the pasta and packing the rest up to take home because by this time it was a few minutes after 10 o'clock and we didn't want to sit there as the only table left when we knew that they were obviously ready for closing time. One thing I must say is that I think divine intervention kept me in a great mood because they played my favorite journey song, they played my favorite song of all time, which is Tears for Fears. Everybody wants to rule the world, and then they played Bob Seger, who is definitely the artist who would've been my boyfriend or at least my celebrity crush had I've been born a few years earlier. Anyway, that's me giving it to you Straight No Chaser. Enjoy!
