There's an option to purchase wine, and while the selection is limited, it's clearly curated and high quality. The Tuscan menu was simple yet absolutely delicious. My only minor critique is that I wish the class had been a bit more hands-on--the instructor occasionally took over rather than letting participants do more themselves. That said, I understand time constraints and how challenging it can be with a large group. I imagine this experience would be even better in a more intimate setting. Overall, the food was excellent, and the instructors and staff were fun, friendly, and engaging. It is on the pricier side, but you're essentially getting a three-course meal, plus a 10% discount on anything in the store the day of the class, which is a nice bonus.

Each course was perfect, and no detail was missed. Each guest was blown away by the amazing flavors and how they seamlessly fit with each other. Course after course of insane flavor and decadence. Chef Matt is easy to work with, very communicative, and has a well thought out plan. He provided a recommended menu, we had him add a beautiful charcuterie board to start the evening, and away he went. He was on time and finished prepping the food in our kitchen with the intoxicating aroma wafting through the house. Thank you, Chef Matt. If I could rate you 10 stars I would.

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more This was one of the most interesting, fun, fulfilling experiences my husband and I have ever had. If you are even remotely thinking about booking, I would highly recommend doing so. My husband is very in to cooking/food. He's a cooking show junkie who has no professional training but loves to cook and learn. I booked Chef Matt as a Date Night activity for us. The whole "Before" process was very easy. Chef Matt sent us some sample menus. I chose the California Coastal one. I wasn't super sure about one of the options (I'm kind of a picky eater) so Chef Matt worked with me to swap out the suggested course option to make it something we would enjoy a bit more. I have to note because I was so impressed- This alternative was one of the coolest dishes we had ever had. Chef Matt asked what our favorite vegetable was. My answer was asparagus. Chef Matt prepared a dish that used asparagus 5 different ways! Talk about creative! We loved it! Any how, Chef Matt showed up the day of with everything needed to cook our 4-course meal. I wasn't sure what to expect, so set our table and had the dishwasher empty; ready to go for dishes after the meal. I was happily surprised when Chef Matt showed up with not only the items needed to cook the meal, but also his own pots/pans, cooking utensils, dishes for every course, cleaning products, and a trash bag of his own! The only things we needed were silverware, napkins, and our drinks (which I pre-planned wine pairing to each course...something I'd highly recommend doing/asking about- Chef Matt had great insight for the pairings)! Chef Matt did a little prep work and let us know we could be as involved or uninvolved as we wanted in the cooking process. We chose to be more involved. Chef Matt explained everything he was doing to prepare each dish as we watched. He explained technique, ingredients, past experiences, and shared his passion for food with us. The food from each course was unbelievable. Better than the best restaurant in town! All around the same price we would have spent going to a nice restaurant- 110% worth the value. Chef Matt is truly talented. His creativity, knowledge of the art, and passion for cooking are very well displayed through his food. I would say every course was better than the last, but honestly, each and ever course was so top-notch/delicious it was hard to pick a favorite. It was so cool to see such high quality food being prepared in our very own kitchen. By the time my husband and I finished our last course, Chef Matt already had our kitchen sparkling clean. He did not leave a single crumb, dish, or piece of trash. I cannot say enough good things about this experience or about Chef Matt. My husband and I were beyond impressed. Chef Matt is an awesome, friendly, personable guy who is beyond talented and an excellent teacher. We have so much admiration for him and his art. We will for sure be booking again!

I have had the worst and most frustrating experience of my life trying to enroll into this school…read more For months they kept giving me the runaround. I had to call just to get my own student id because they were gonna forget it otherwise. They are so rude over the phone. The first guy blamed me for calling too early to speak to a general counselor, then when I told him that it said the time and I was there five minutes after, he said she was late. I told him I needed to speak to someone about enrolling, he told me that I have to speak to a generals counselor before I can even speak to a majors counselor. So, I went back to their little only chat and waited again. I spoke to her, told her I was doing a career change because I already have multiple degrees. I just wanted to do court reporting. She told me that going to private schools would be an issue because it's different. Okay... then she told me to speak to a major's counselor and to call back the other number because I needed more information. I called back, someone else answered and told me the majors counselor for court reporting wasn't in until the 17th. I said okay and I waited. Called in multiple times today, nobody answered. I go to their online chat, it took forever to speak to someone. They said I need to speak to a majors counselor, give me the link, and I wait more and NOBODY ANSWERS. I hate it here. I started calling and trying to reach someone around 10AM, it's not 11:45 and I still can't reach someone to help me. I have CalVet, which means I can go tuition free. I have my student ID. They keep telling me to just register, but I have no idea which classes to register into. I do not know if I need to transfer GE credits. I do not know how to connect my CalVet benefits to their school. I do not know anything about their process, other than they CLEARLY DO NOT WANT TO HELP ME ENROLL FULLY. It is the most frustrating experience knowing that I could start classes but I can't because nobody there can answer questions. I'm actually over it. If it's this challenging to start school, then my assumption is that they won't be much help when I'm actually fully enrolled and registered. I guess this is part of the reason why there's a shortage of court reporters in California -- because schools like this don't gaf about who wants in. Do not go here if you are a Veteran, spouse of a Veteran, or dependent of a Veteran.

As a Salvadoran and Mexican couple, we really wanted our wedding menu to reflect both of our cultures. We shared our vision with Chef Alan, and right away he had so many thoughtful and creative ideas for how to bring a Mexican and Salvadoran fusion menu to life. We booked him almost a year before our wedding, and throughout the months, he stayed in contact with us, answered questions, shared ideas, and made the process feel exciting. One of the most memorable parts of the whole experience was our tasting. Chef Alan came to our home and prepared everything for us there, which made it feel so personal and special. The food was incredible. We had maybe one or two small notes, but honestly, everything he made was amazing. Every time we got on a call with him, he sounded genuinely excited, and that connection made the process feel even more meaningful. He also came to the venue before the wedding to understand the layout, setup, and flow so his team could be fully prepared. A few days before the wedding, he called just to check in, and we ended up laughing and talking about how wild it was that the big day was finally here after all the planning. On the wedding day, Chef Alan and his team were completely on it. I finally got to introduce him to my mom, which was special because we had shared so many stories about our mothers during the planning process. He was respectful, warm, easy to talk to, and honestly felt like family. And the food? Incredible. Our parents are picky, and even they loved everything. Our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was. The mini pupusas birria pupusas with curtido, shrimp shooters and al pastor tacos during cocktail hour were such a hit! For dinner, the pollo en crema de rajas, birria-style short ribs, and sweet potato bake for our vegan/vegetarian guests were all full of flavor and beautifully presented. Our family and friends were still talking about the food days after the wedding. It was more than we expected, and those are the things people remember. At weddings, people always remember the food, and Chef Alan gave our guests something unforgettable. His attention to detail, presentation, professionalism, and care made this entire experience one of a kind. This was our first time working with a chef for an event like this, and Chef Alan truly made it an experience of a lifetime. We are so grateful he was part of our wedding.
