eat. Eat. EAT! EEEEEEEAT! That's all I can think of when I think of this place. My friend and I stopped here for a quick bite before meeting up with a walking tour. I would describe it as a "fast casual" restaurant, similar to Au Bon Pain or even Panera Bread in the U.S. My buddy is particularly sensitive to crappy, unpronounceable food ingredients, so we were pleased when we started looking through the packaged goods in the cooler and quickly realized that the approach to Eat is to serve as close to whole food as possible. It was a weekend when we stopped in, but I'm sure it goes gangbusters during the week, as it's right smack in the middle of the City of London, which gets hundreds of thousands of professionals working there during the week. My only real complaint is that there is no public toilet, so you're forced to hunt for one nearby--which we found and was, alas, closed on a Sunday. read more
