Easy Riders Bicycles - Bike Rentals Near Me - Nantucket, Massachusetts

Great service - had a bike assembled in less than 24 hours and am very happy with result. Thanks Easy Riders!

No better way to get around Nantucket than by bike! Make Easy Rider Bicycles your first stop once you arrive to rent bikes or better yet, call ahead to reserve! Staff were friendly and helpful! They dropped off bikes at our rental and picked up at the end of our trip. This made the rental experience SO easy! We needed to trade in one bike and also add another and this was no problem. The bikes were a lot of fun, easy to ride, and made getting around Nantucket very easy! We rode around Nantucket all week! Make sure you get a bike with a basket so you can make trips to the store and wine and spirits shop! read more

Best place to rent a bike in Nantucket! I've rented from them multiple times and they're always so polite and understanding if you wanted to drop the bike off first thing the next morning. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and will be coming back to rent again in the near future. read more

Amazing service! They drop off bikes for you and will pick them up - even 10 minutes after calling and even if it's in a different location. Prices are a bit better than other places on the island. Lots of different bike options. Free helmet, lock, and basket with rental. read more

We rented two bicycles from easy riders. In summary the quality was poor as the bikes were not maintained. They delivered the bicycles to our apartment which was very nice. First they forgot to give us helmets and had to return a half an hour later with them. When we drove away later, one bicycle had a loud clanking noise with every pedal rotation and the rear brake pads rubbed against the wheel the whole ride. The front brakes were not properly adjusted and the front wheel rim was way out of alignment. The second bicycle had a consistent squeaking the entire time. I rode back to the bike shop to replace the first bike. The second one they gave me had a front derailer that did not work. The third functioned. The man at the shop did not seem to care. About the issues and probably would just send the bike out again. read more

I had a reservation with them for a weekly rental of a men's E Bike (electric) which happens to be the most expensive rental that they offer. I was send an email confirmation when I was at lunch near the harbor at 12 noon telling me that they are confirmed the reservation and to be back at my B&B between 2:30 to 3:30 to receive the bike. I would assume at that time I would be signing some liability papers and they would be taking my credit card. I was back at my hotel actually at 2:10. I saw the proprietor Peter whom recommended this bike shop as he knows the owner. I told Peter that I'm going to my room upstairs and the bike shop will be over soon and to let me know. I'm a patient person and waited until 4. Then I called and was told that it's scheduled for delivery between 4:30 to 5:30. I was rather shocked and explained to her that I had confirmed the pickup email with them. She told me that she would call the driver and make sure I would have his next delivery. 5 pm came and I called them only to find out that there mailbox is full. Looking on line I found out that they closed at 5 pm. How rude of them to commit and not produce and more importantly wast an entire afternoon based upon there lies. If there would have been a financial transaction first and they did this to me I would have sued them for my time and asked for punitive damages. SHAME ON THEM. If your reading this just know that there are many other bike shops on the island that perhaps will treat you as a customer or potential customer with respect. "My time matters!" read more

They have tons of beach chairs. And they are the good kind, adjustable, sturdy, and with straps so you can carry them on your back while biking. The price is right for the chair rental too. read more

Easy Riders was so great to work with. When the in-town places said they were too busy to assist us, Easy Riders came through. Easy Riders delivered bikes right to our door. And when one of the bikes didn't correctly fit my daughter, they delivered her a new bike that same evening! As a big plus, you don't have to fight the crowds of the in-town bike rental places. Thanks, Easy Riders! read more

There are a few bike places on the island, but not a lot of inventory for used/cheap bikes. I bought a used bike from this place - shortly after my card ended up having a bunch of fraudulent charges. thankfully I was paid back by my bank, but beware of scams - use cash. read more

I wish there were more than 5 stars, because 5 isn't close to enough! Superior bike shop with exemplary customer service! The staff goes above and beyond every time. I recently purchased a bicycle from them that's as pretty as pie (lemon meringue) and the staff has happily helped me along the way. Best bike shop! read more

I thought this company would be easy to deal with efficient, etc. I originally booked my rental with Dornell and subsequently had to cancel due to a hurricane. I thought Dornell understood my cancellation request. Not only did he misunderstand, he didn't cancel and showed up at 9 AM with my bike, waking my entire family. Upon speaking with the owner Hans Dahlgraber twice, the only explanation I received was "Things happen ". That was it - no other explanation proffered forth. I would NEVER use this bike shop again. read more

My husband had just had shoulder surgery and wasn't supposed to be on a bike, but I found an adult trike (that is really a thing...seriously) on Easy Riders' website, so I rented a family fleet of bicycles for a Fathers Day ride. Raheem showed up at our in-town cottage on time and dropped off all the bikes, helmets, locks and baskets. He unloaded the bikes and politely walked me through the paperwork and answered all of my questions. Fifteen minutes into our ride, the trike's chain derailed, but one call into Easy Riders and Raheem was delivering a new bike at our mid-ride location in 5 minutes. After our ride Raheem was back in timely fashion to pick up the bikes. I highly recommend Easy Riders Bicycles for bike rentals on Nantucket. The bikes were not top of the line, but they were fun, well-maintained and the perfect way to see the island. Customer service was top-notch and Raheem especially deserves high marks for his polite, quick and effective service. Kudos! read more

These guys are FANTASTIC! super friendly and helpful service. We went to visit Nantucket for the first time and we didn't know much about the island.. they recommended where to bike, what to see even where to go for lunch. and their bikes were great! this place rocks. not only were the rental prices great (the best on the island as of 9/1/08), but THEY DELIVER all bikes, helmets, locks, baskets...whatever you need. the whole thing was so easy. a few weeks before arriving, i made the reservation for 7 bikes online, told them when & where we wanted them delivered & it was done. super easy. no waiting around in the bike shop, wondering if someone could or would ever help you. no hoping there'd be bikes big or small enough for you or your huge group. no fussing. when they showed up with the slew of bikes (which were even LABELED so we knew immediately which bike was sized for which rider), we tried them all out, got 'em all tweaked and sized to perfection, and rode them around the block to make sure everyone was happy. one bike had a funky wheel problem, so they took it back to the shop & returned with a new bike 15 minutes later. they picked up all the bikes, too. we didn't even have to be there, they just gathered them up and that was that. i mean, really... awesome. what a great, simple idea. i definitely recommend this place. read more

This is our go to place to rent bikes on the Island! The service is. The service is very friendly. The drop off /pick up service is really convenient. Biking is the best way to see the island! read more

I just had the best costumer service experience at Easy Riders. I am staying on the island for a couple weeks and my chain snapped today so I needed to get it fixed. I called Nantucket Bike co. and they only fix their own bikes, I called Young's bikes and they wouldn't get it fixed for a few days. I called Easy Riders and they said they can have it done right away. They were very sympathetic to my situation. All the employees were kind and relatable. The service was also very inexpensive. I got a new chain installed and a quick tuneup for $30. Did I mention that they did all this after they closed! Amazing shop, definitely going back for all my bicycle needs. read more

Easy Riders Bicycles are the best! Prices very good and friendly staff. I had a puncture miles from anywhere and they came to my rescue even though it was not one of their rentals! They even deliver your rental bike and as I understand it they have over 1,000 up to date bikes to choose from. Definitely worth 5 stars! read more

These guys were great... reasonable prices, prompt pickup & delivery and very flexible.

Excellent experience - great bikes, prompt delivery and pick up and great service. Convenient location, especially if you are staying out at Surfside. Highly recommend! read more

I really could not emphasize how much I love Easy Riders Bicycles. This past weekend was my first on the island, and Monica and her crew were absolutely amazing. Super friendly, efficient, and did not take advantage of my dire bike situation (after hauling it all the way from home, only to ruin it going over some unexpected cobble stones at 10pm). You won't find a better price or customer service on the island. Thanks guys! You saved my weekend. read more

SCAM ALERT!!!!!! "Flustered, she offered to take all four bikes back and upgrade them to a premium rental for free, knowing that cost was an issue for you from the beginning and wanting to give you something and to take care of you. It is my understanding that you refused the offer not wanting to wait for the bikes." - Hans owner of easy rider This NEVER Happened and is a 100% a LIE!!!! Hans Let's be real do you think anyone would turn down free bikes when you charge 25$+ a day????? She wouldn't even change the pick up time to accommodate for the two hours that we wasted so we could get our full 24 hour rental and your telling me she offered us 4 free bikes????? That's a blatant LIE.... What she really told me was to go F* myself and some other words in another language that I didn't understand after I asked about a discount or pushing the pick up time back. Then while still saying what I can only assume were derogatory things in another language to me she started throwing (physically throwing) the bikes in the back of the truck and telling us there was other people that she could rent them to and she was "too busy" to deal with us. Just like she was apparently "too busy" to inspect and make sure the bikes were working before dropping them off. I am legitimately insulted that you would even make that up and try to make it look I'm the one that did something wrong. The respectable thing to do as a business owner would have be to own up to that fact that your employee was completely out of line and apologize, but instead you try to spin it on the customer and then LIE to everyone that's reading this review.... Yelp is to inform customers like myself about unethical business like your bike rental shop and make sure people know that they risk horrible customer service and old broken worn out bikes if they chose to rent from you. Anyone looking for bikes on the island PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO Elsewhere... NOTE: we ended up renting from Nantucket Bike Shop and they treated us respectfully and made sure we had everything we needed including bikes that work and I would suggested them even if the price is a bit higher. Just steer clear of easy rider. read more

I brought my own bike on the island and had a problem where the gear shifter stopped working. After spending two hours in town at a bike shop only to be told that I needed a replacement shifter that they would have to order, I headed over to Easy Riders for the replacement piece. When I got there, the two guys working there spent five minutes looking at my bike and said I didn't need a new shifter at all, it was just that my bell was in the way!! They could have easily scammed me into a costly repair as I went in looking for a replacement piece. Great customer service! read more

Easy Riders is not for me again. Not only did they make the rental process difficult (after multiple phones calls and multiple trips to their location), they then picked up the rented equipment more than 3 days early. When I spoke with multiple employees in-person about why they took the item back more than 3 days before it was due, I was told that it was "in the paperwork. " Well, their paperwork contradicted the receipt I had and the fact that they had charged me and that I had paid for a full week (not 3.5 days). They refused to address my concern and not one of the 3 employees I was told to speak with would answer my questions. And, they refused to issue a refund. In sum, "easy riders" is not so easy to deal with. read more

Great guys working there! Helped me fix a flat twice and thought me how to do it myself! Highly recommend!

Brought my bike in for repair and general tune up. Got it back the next day with literally nothing done to it and they charged me $50. Had to bring it to another shop to get it done correctly. Bunch of monkeys running this shop. read more

Very nice employees. Great location outside of town on the Surfside Road bike path. They will pick up and drop off bikes which is convenient. I have to deduct a star for the quality of the bikes though. They generally worked fine but weren't as nice as bikes I saw around the island from Cooks and Young's. Easy Riders bikes were cheaper and rustier. The Young's bikes were of superior quality but pick up there would have been a challenge for us. read more

Easy riders bicycles had unmatched service and accessibility. They are hands down the best bike rental service on the island!

I have been renting from this place for years. Easy Riders Bicycles by far have the best prices on the entire island, and I have fortunately always encountered great customer service. Last year Samone, the young lady who dropped our 5 bicycles we rented for the week, took a generous amount of time to answer questions and welcome us. We did have a problem with one of the bicycles and the bike was swapped out within two hours. Upon pickup, the same young lady asked how our week was and was very kind to my daughters. I recently called to rent six bicycles for my two week stay in Sconset. Dorel was very helpful answering all of my questions, and even extending the 10% discount over the telephone so I didn't have to go through the hassle of reserving online. I can't imagine I will ever rent bicycles from anywhere else. Thanks Hans and team for your great service and kindness over the years! read more
