I went inside and sat down at a booth seat, and I looked at the menu. They had a mix-stuff (毛血旺, if…read moreyou know what that is, how the heck does that get translated?!) spicy bowl with noodles, and I asked what was in it. My Chinese failed me a bit because I couldn't understand what the guy said except for one item (out of 3), though turns out he didn't actually list all the items inside it.
I just went with it anyway because back in the states, and it was one of those places where you order first and get food after, so I went to order. But apparently they had a $30 limit, so I had to go outside to get cash. The guy I asked about the spicy mixed bowl ingredients told me he'd save my seat for my for when I get back, so I happily left to find an ATM.
I found one across the street, and I went back. But my seat had been taken! The guy apologized and gave me a new seat - not as good because what had been a pretty spacious seat with nobody on either side now became pretty cramped because there were people on both sides of me, and the seats weren't very wide.
Anyway, my food came out around ten minutes later (it was pretty cool to watch them make each bowl; it was basically an assembly line of bowls on different pots, and each pot would have water and the right ingredients). The food was legit spicy food, and this bowl of noodles had good noodles, good spicy flavors, and a bunch of ingredients! The noodles were chewy and the bowl was really big, and the flavor was wonderful. I was really impressed. Prices are a bit high for this at around 16 AUD, but it's worth it!
