Average bar seating, plenty of tables with a couple of pool tables, quick and friendly service. Everybody seemed friendly and willing to visit or leave you be. I was treated like a regular pretty quickly; I started a tab and the bartender called me by my name every time she refilled my glass. Wings Buffalo style were good. Hot from the fryer, crispy, sauce was Frank's based. No celery. Burger was served on thick sliced, grilled Italian-style bread and put properly together, not deconstructed. Patty appeared to be 1/4 lb and premade but pretty good; decent pickle, red onion, and hand sliced tomato. Better than average waffle fries, seasoned, and prepared by somebody who cared about the food. 7/10. TouchTunes jukebox. A few screens with ballsports on 'em. TV keno. With beer options as varied as Miller Light, as craft as ShockTop, and liquor options that stop just short of Fernet, the Field House isn't for city slickers with perfectly coiffed cowlicks hoping to sample artisan cocktails, and imbibe in sipping tequila. It is however, the perfect spot for those of us in our late 20s and early 30s who never forgot the power of a $5 you-call-it, and the allure of a bartender whom we grew up with, and had a crush on 15 years ago.
