Dr. Bonavita is our primary care physician, and he is truly one of those doctors you feel incredibly fortunate to find. He is approachable, knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely a jack-of-all-trades. He listens, takes our concerns seriously, and does everything he can to address our needs himself. When a specialist is necessary, he makes the appropriate referral but remains involved and continues to support our care. One of the greatest strengths of this practice is that this level of care isn't limited to our primary physician. When Dr. Bonavita hasn't been available, we've seen several other providers within the practice, including Dr. Christopher Adiletta, Dr. Joseph Augustine, Dr. Nicholas Augustine, Dr. Paul Fiacco, Dr. James Tarala, Jonathan Sicilia, FNP-C, and Ruth McDonald, PA-C. These are just some of the providers we've had experience with, but our experiences have been so positive that when we're in a pinch and Dr. Bonavita isn't available, I actually look for these providers because they seem to mirror his thoughtful, attentive style of patient care. That speaks volumes about the practice as a whole. They are a network of providers with many different strengths, and they seem to use those strengths collectively to provide a remarkably consistent level of primary care. We originally received our own care here and eventually moved our children from their pediatric practice after struggling to find the same level of care and continuity we had experienced ourselves. Having our entire family cared for within the same practice has been incredibly valuable. Our primary physician knows us and our family history, so there is greater visibility into aspects of our own health that may also be relevant to our children's care. That continuity and bigger-picture understanding of our family is something we deeply value. After decades of receiving care here, I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate providers and, perhaps most importantly, a consistent level of primary care for themselves and their family. But, if you have any unusual concerns, questions or requests, expect to come across with odd attitudes from the office workers, particularly of adolescent office on Warren Road (as I remember, people in pediatrics were nicer). The attitude is that they are the ones who're helping us. They seem to have enough patients to keep them busy and they do not hide their annoyance when something out of the norm comes their way. I haven't used the other pediatric clinics in town so I can't compare. I'm sure there are worse ones out there. We use this place only a couple of times a year, so I won't change my son's doctor now. Doctors are nice. Nurses? The one I dealt with today was a little strange. She made me repeat the same question twice on the phone. The first time I asked, she responded with silence. So I have to repeat the same question. I guess she didn't understand me because of my accent - and I'm sure she didn't appreciate me for getting her on the phone for something so unimportant. In any case, I shouldn't need to feel hesitant to ask questions. If a parent cared enough to call and inquire, that should be enough basis for them to respond with courtesy, and with accurate information. In fact, they had a major problem with the accuracy part today, so I ended up calling them twice and have the nurse call me back just to make sure I understood the situation correctly. You know in a small town like this - you write a review like this they will immediately know who you are - I guess I will get more cold stares (or overly polite responses) next time I go - I'm so looking forward to it. UPDATE: 2015 - the pediatrician my son since he was a baby retired and my son was assigned to a new doctor. I found out about it months after his retirement, only when confirming the appointment for his annual checkup.
