This German brand was original equipment on Meecedes Benz, the first to offer FM reception and developed rudimentary navigation before anyone knew that such a thing was a thing. The system was beautiful, cradling my cassettes and cranking with no distortion way past "11." The controls were precise and made my car more comfortable then my first house. Unfortunately, Blaupunk went bust years ago and is now just a brand name that gets plastered on inferior electronics. A fate that does nothing to interrupt the smile that takes over when I think of that rust bucket. The best investment I ever made.

However when I got a roadworthy done at 9,000km they stung me for wheel bearings on a bike that was only ridden occasionally. Once they have your bike in this situation you are over a barrel. Every other mechanic I spoke to after the fact said this was ridiculous on my bike model. $400 for a roadworthy seems a little unfair and a better explanation should have been given. Trust has been shaken. Will not go back.
