Trevor is awesome. We had a patio door to replace and an…read moreindoor barn door to install. The patio door was a complicated job, requiring cutting out part of the wall and fortifying a supporting beam. The old door had to be disposed of. A 7' barn door needed to be cut to shorten it since we under-estimated the height our low ceiling would allow. Then, when we were able to (last minute) get hold of spare floor boards, he cut and used them to fill in a gap to the new patio door. Trevor took care of all of the above professionally and the end results are clean and without blemish. All of this was done in about 15 hours of work.

James is the consummate professional!…read more I hired James for a full day to tackle some long overdue work in my home. On our initial walk through so he knew exactly what I required, he obviously listened carefully to the plethora of jobs he was to undertake, that he required no further unnecessary input from me for the full 8 hours he was here. He followed through thoroughly with all I asked of him, much to my delight. James did a range of work from caulking, hanging multiple items such as a huge heavy mirror, added many a handle to my kitchen cupboards, door adjustments, furniture assembly and the list goes on. He stuck to his quote and he also finished everything in the allotted time. Having had a father in the industry, I am more than aware of when a job has been done well or not, this job was not just done well it was done excellently!

I had booked him for services to fix my toilet and install a garbage disposal. He had mentioned he was working another job at the same time and said he'll come back for the garbage disposal. The leak ended up being related to bathtub plumbing instead of an actual pipe leak (got lucky). It took some detective work but he ultimately was able pinpoint it based on a bit of trial and error. He also helped cut out a previously walled up window in my garage. Like previous reviews, he does do a good job explaining what he's doing and even giving tips in the event I encounter something similar. He charges by the hour but doesn't waste time. Towards the end I consulted him on a potential for further garage remodeling and he's pretty honest about cost/scope of work/time needed on some ideas I had. He's not afraid to refer others in his network who can charge less or do a better job then he can (that's rare). Overall, he gives me honest feedback, doesn't over promise delivery of work, comes on time, works smart and quickly, and is pretty laid back.
