Earlier this year I had two garage doors go bad on me at the same time (they were from a manufacturer which discontinued those models after they apparently were consistently troublesome). I contacted Eastern Shore Overhead Door and they were able to combine the parts of the old system that worked OK with a new one from another manufacturer, so that it worked smoothly and well, and with some cost savings.
About 60 days into their usage one of the new ones began to malfunction, but in a way that was hard to replicate. These guys sent out one of the installers who had put the system in originally, and he was able to get it working, though we could not replicate the specific malfunction. A week later, it began to malfunction again. They arranged to come back and simply replaced the operating unit that had been installed. Now it's working fine.
What I noticed about these guys was (1) the installer knew his stuff, both on the installation and on the repair, and (2) the person handling the service calls listened, understood, responded promptly and genuinely wanted to make the situation right.
In short, I'd select these guys any time. BTW, I got their name from a friend for whom a couple of years ago they had done the installation of some large doors in a building housing farm equipment. He said they overcame several challenges in doing his installation, and he's had no problems with the doors. So they seem well-equipped to do large commercial work as well as my residential ones. read more
