Paul shows me the issues and makes suggestions for repair or replacement. This is a very good customer service quality for me. His work is excellent and his prices are very reasonable. As the YELP reviewers can clearly see, you are as unprofessional as they come. Paul, if you think posting your horrendous response to me with the BBB shows you in a good light, think again. If I read that alone, I would not hire you. Let some of the pictures I posted speak for some of the shoddy work and the proof in text messages that you were provided the paint name, code and colors to match. Also I can post the estimate on this thread if you would like where you stated that you would match the paint. I have that receipt as well. I also found other issues later..you did not screw back on the water line in my yard after repair and upon removal of my boxes for planting, a missing concrete screw that was sitting on the windowsill. You left my sconces in my dining room hanging so I had to screw them in and I had to rehang the picture in the LR as it was crooked. Also, I had to screw in the top of the mailbox because it was still loose. I have a time-stamped video of this and can provide that receipt too. On a daily basis, I have to look at my LR, office (thank god my new bookshelf covers the wall you painted in this room), MBR ( I go to sleep every night looking at my mismatched ceilings) Guest Room, kitchen, etc. with walls/ceilings that do not match. Clearly not the 'guarantee to match' that you provided in your estimate. Again, how did I not want to pay you when I wrote you the check (in full) in participation of you completing the job the next day, per our discussion in my home the night before. The narrative changed the next day when you left my home after realizing that the cement was not cured on mailbox and I received a call shortly thereafter to void my check and write it for everything except the mailbox because your girlfriend stated you cant come home without some money. There was NEVER any discussion or requests from you on partial payments as you worked in my home and the discussion the night before was to be paid when all jobs were complete. After discussions that I did not want to void my check and why cant you wait one more day, you guaranteed that you would come back to complete mailbox so I gave you the check. Your improper business practices caused me stress that day, as well as yourself because you repeatedly interrupted my work day with your calls that I did something wrong by writing the check in your business name ( the invoice lists your business so that is how I wrote it), then I am accused of causing further problems as now my bank is in PA (sorry for the inconvenience but did not know it was a requirement for my bank to be in DE to do business with you), then never mind I am going to drive 1.5 hours to PA to cash it as you called my bank to ask how you can cash it but I need to call the bank to verify that I wrote the check. All of this 'drama' because you don't know how to run your business is now my problem and my inconvenience? You also did not tell me that you don't accept credit cards albeit your estimate/invoice states you do. Despite, ALL of these things, you cashed the check and got your money after I verified to my bank that it was not FRAUDULENT (that is the real reason they wanted to talk to me as if a person calls and says, ' I have a check written to my business that I want to cash, what do I need as proof that I am this business?'. (YIKES!!!) Paul, if you want me to continue with providing receipts, I will and I can also do it in court ( I requested a refund on some of these items with the DE BBB but have not received a response from you yet). as my mailbox is probably going to fall down because the concrete cracked and my walls look like crap. I hope you don't procure any future clients just on the basis of the disrespect in your words, misrepresentations and crappy work You are the most unprofessional contractor that I have ever come across. I hired Ironshore Construction to complete multiple projects in my home. I asked if he required a deposit, he stated no. He spent a week and a half doing the projects. Most of the projects were done great except the painting (the ceiling and wall touchup paint did not match, as guaranteed.). Towards the end of the job he appeared to be rushing. He left my sconces hanging so I screwed them back on, did not cover my furniture with plastic in all rooms, so I had to clean dust off of everything. He literally put the paint bucket on my countertop island and mixed it with nothing underneath. I said nothing but when he stated he would be done the next day, I stated I would pay him by credit card from the invoice he sent by email. Then he informs me that he doesn't use that service from the platform. This was so deceptive as what if I did not have a check to provide? He misrepresented his form of payment but I told him we can settle up the next day so I wrote the check in preparation to pay him in full. The last item on the list was my mailbox and he stated that the cement would be cured that day. Well, the cement was not cured and he left to state he would come back the next day. I receive a call 15 mins later, and he states that his GIRLFRIEND has been bugging him for days to get paid and he typically asks for a deposit (which he did not accept when I asked him if he required one) so he asked me to write a check minus the mailbox. I informed him that I don't have a contract with his GIRLFRIEND and why is she running his business? Again, inappropriate and unprofessional. I was annoyed as he stated he would be done and to write the check in full for that day. I informed him that I am not voiding a check and he stated can I just give him the check in full and he would come back the next day to mount the mailbox and post, that he is honest because he has 5 star reviews on Next Door, etc. Against my better judgement I gave him the check and the real drama ensued. He gets the check then calls me back and states there is another problem as I wrote the check to Ironshore Construction, not to him personally and that my bank is in Philadelphia. Again, unprofessional and why is that my problem? Why would I write a check to you personally when the check should be written to your business? Why would you assume that my bank is in DE? He states that he is having an issue with his EIN with the IRS and blah, blah, blah. I realize what he is trying to do and I want no involvement in his mess. None of these things were told to me prior so again, how is that my issue? He then requests for me to write him a new check to him personally and I say fine but instead he decides to drive 1.5 hrs to Philly to cash the check that day and says that he called my bank and I need to call to verify I wrote the check and that he needs to provide them his ID and valid business license to cash. I informed him, I am trying to work and I am not calling the bank. They can call me if need be. I missed the call from the bank and of course, he calls again. At this point, I am truly livid but I pick up the phone and speak with my bank teller. He typically texts me every morning to let me know when he is coming and of course, no text from him the next morning. I text him and ask when he is coming. He states just put the mailbox outside and that he would come later. I request the time and he takes a while to respond. He shows up at 12:30 and it is clear that he is upset which confuses me as I paid you before you finished the job, he immediately cashed the check and have the audacity to come to my home with an attitude. I am trying to be polite but it appeared that he was leaving again as he got in his car and started the car up so I asked was he leaving? He was very short with me and said no, I am not leaving. When he finished he rudely says to me 'Don't touch the mailbox as I cant guarantee that it won't fall down'. At this point I am done with unprofessional behavior and I ask him what is his problem. He states that yesterday was too much and he is upset because all he asked for was a simple check and I was the problem. I said you have some nerve as I paid you and you weren't even finish the job, and everything thereafter was his problem due to his shoddy business practices. I even had to ask him to clean up the dirt around my mailbox and he did that begrudgingly. Now I am stuck with a ceiling that has to be painted along with my foyer and family room, my bedroom, guestroom, etc. because of his so called guarantee that it would match.
