Wow! Either early appointments are better than later appointments or they've made some positive changes to their processes. I had a 9:30 AM appointment and was called to the back by 9:40 AM. Samantha took x-rays and my blood pressure. She was pleasant to work with, professional, and was able to answer my questions. The dentist was fantastic, per usual. Laura, hygienist was great as well. They were out of floss, to give to patients but that's not her fault. Danira and Raquel at reception were professional. I've been coming here for many years and I've never experienced such an efficient visit. I was in my car by 10:30 AM. Great job! read more

I had to get an old root broken molar that had a root canal job done year ago and since become infected every year, sometimes more than a few times per year.. Anyway they took me within a few days of hearing that I had problems finding someone who would take my insurance. I was very happy and went to the office where I found smiling faces and a clean atmosphere. It is light and airy there and seems like a nice place to work as well as receive dental care. Do yourself a favor and avoid this ghetto dental factory. One of the first appointments of the day and we're already waiting over an hour just to be seen for a consultation with about 40 other patients waiting to be seen as well. Unprofessional! Went in for a root canal ... left without a root canal and a mouth full of needles to numb AN INFECTION!!!! Now I went to the er because my face is so swollen I can't move my face! Now it have developed an abscess!! I don't know what to even do! Still in pain! read more

T. Jackowski I broke my cap and was able to get in on a Sat. with Dr. Ali Malik and his assistant, Brandon, which was a great experience. Dr. Malik took his time and did a wonderful job replacing my cap on the SAME DAY --it was the best cap I ever got - smooth, no adjusting needed and looks exactly like my real tooth (except better). Eastern Dental is well over-booked; at least 2 months in advance for more convenient times (Friday/Saturday) since I work a full-time job. Once you're there, it takes some time and the waiting room is packed. There's no particular order; sometimes you'll get X-Rays and see the dentist first and other times you'll get your cleaning first. I honestly can't complain, they do what you need them to do every 6 months - clean & check. It takes a while to get here and it takes a while once you are here. I can't speak for services other than the general dentistry. I was informed to remove my wisdom teeth and decided to take that to some oral surgeons elsewhere. read more

Typing this review as I sit in the dental chair for over an hour. Waited in the waiting room for an hour and now another hour in the chair without being seen. This is ridiculous, why do they schedule appointments so close to one another knowing they always run late. read more

Let me start by saying I'm not the best flosser & I get yelled at every time but these people were THE NICEST dentists/ hygienists I have ever met. My hygienist was gentle & extremely welcoming. My dentist answered all of my questions and I've never felt more comforting at a dentist office. I highly recommend! read more

Business staff is incompetent and quite often condescending and nasty when it comes to how they talk to their PATIENTS/CUSTOMERS. I have spent numerous hours trying to resolve a billing issue between the dental business office at the Parlin location, their billing office in Michigan, and my insurance company to avoid being sent to collections. Their local business office never sent the appropriate x-rays to my insurance company for payment, so today I had to go back to the their office for x-rays on crowns that were put in my mouth last December! I have been trying to resolve this for months and I'm hoping that this will now be resolved. I am considering seeking another dental provider. One star review and why: 1st Appointment for regular check up and cleaning. Total Time = 4hrs. I arrived at 10 AM and was not seen until 12:50, after my cleaning I was told to again wait for another 45 minutes so they go "file" paperwork and "make my next appointment for a filling". I thought it was a one time occurrence because they claimed they were understaffed. Today I returned for my filling, I arrived for a 9AM appointment. I've been waiting for an hour now and I haven't and been processed for payments yet which they make you do prior to seeing the dentist. After today, I will never be going to Eastern Dental again. They overbook and keep a waiting room full of annoyed people who bicker amongst themselves while the staff at the front desk gives you the run around ( some are nice, and some are rude, however all of them clearly need to learn how to make a schedule they can adhere to.) If you enjoy sitting for hours for what would take maybe one hour elsewhere, come all come all!!! Seriously though, STAY AWAY! read more

Great experience today at eastern dental. They are taking all precautions to make patients feel comfortable in today's environment. My check up and cleaning was quick and efficient. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I tried to cancel my appt. to find a specialist since damage was to the front teeth but the billing mgr insisted I give them a try and come back as they would do all in their power to make sure I was happy. I was told I would receive a refund if I was not satisfied. When the crown came back it looked like this! Dr. Leva agreed it was not satisfactory and they would send it back to lab and file it down to fix it. I LEARNED THAT THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU WOULD DO; THAT A NEW CROWN WOULD NEED TO BE MADE. Its very difficult to make so many needed corrections to a piece once made. No refund is being offered as they had to pay the lab. Maybe I can use them for my Halloween costume. read more

I have a dental implant that fell out while I was on vacation. This is the second time this has happened. Left a message and no one called back, finally got a hold of someone today after being cut off. They told me I would have to wait two weeks for an appointment to have the tooth installed back on the post. I paid $4000.00 for this tooth. Between this, my son having to wait three hours for a regular check up and the billing issues I have had. It is time to find another dentist. read more

This Place is horrible at their profession doctors do not know what they are doing! I had a crown done and when the doctor put the temporary one. I said it is hitting the teeth and she was like you gotta let it settle. Few days past I'm taking aspirin and the pain wouldn't stop. I go back a different doctor tells me they have to file it. About 4-5days past the crown fell off so I go back and they have the permeant one. They put the permeant one and its hitting my teeth it was to high. They put the temporary back on and re sanded it down. The next day the crown came off. I called the office they said they will get back to me on a emergency appointment for Saturday at 9am. She said she was going to call me back I was like are you sure she said yes I repeated myself about 8 times. I never got a call back but just got an email for an appointment at 10:30 am. They lady is either stupid or dumb end of the day. She literally agreed that she will call me back over and over. Now I have to go back a 4th time for this temporary crown. Update**** so I went back the 4th time they put the crown again and it fell out. Went back and they pulled my tooth out due to the infection I had. I had a bone graph done and today they called me saying I owe 917 dollars. They never advise me the cost of anything. Every time I left do I owe a co pay or anything its always no. They are so disorganized and horrible. It sad how sloppy a office can get being they are professional. Made two cleaning appointments a few months ago, 3:00 and 3:30. My daughter went in at 4:15, it's 4:38 and my son is still waiting. Do they think it's ok to make someone wait an hour, fifteen minutes for their appointment? Last time we were here for cleanings we waited two hours post cleaning for the checkup and finally walked out without it. Is the patient's time not valuable? How inconsiderate! I received the best dental care for extensive dental care on removal of wisdom tooth. My doctor was personable, carefully review my pain tolerance, discussed best options to move forward. There were no concerns or unanswered questions. The facility is so clean, the equipment is state of the art. You are carefully monitored to prepare you for procedure. Dr. Leva's experience prepares you for step by step process of your procedure. He's patient and makes sure you are totally numbed ensuring minimal pain. While advising you may feel a little discomfort (he's real). I was extremely impressed with the exit process. Concern shown after my procedure to ensure safe travel and follow up the day after won 5Stars. Yes we are in a pandemic. I know that the office is closed since I have called for over a month. I am a caregiver for a 91 year old and your patient. He had work done with a post and cap which fell out. I called the office and was told by the service that the office is open from 9-1. And they took all the information and was told that they would get back, not. I called again and was told May 19, and only emergencies would be dealt with. Well now, I am told June 1, after my patient himself had a long conversation with the service with all the information taken no call.. Yesterday, because my patient is now experiencing pain, and he has a condition with immune deficiency I called the office again. Again gave all the information to the answering service was told which dentist was on call. BUT NO PHONE CALL. REALLY. Is this the way patients are taken care of? I will call again today and see if I get a return call. I will definitely post. read more

My tooth was killing me during Superbowl weekend 2020.... I went to dentist Monday morning ..I waited 15 mins which was nice... They took about 7 xrays ($$$$) then Dr. Louis Leva came in to exam my tooth and said yeah its infected in the center and it looks fractured. by the way they did a root canal in the past on this tooth and why am i feeling pain was still confusing me anyways he said it needs to to extracted...He made the appointment that day at 3 pm to remove the tooth.... I was so mad because it was a big tooth... i decided to go to a different dentist that day near me in East Brunswick they told me you need to repair the root canal and have to see a endodontist (specialist).. Made a appointment at kk dental in Edison NJ.. Dr Sue worked on my tooth and stated they missed a root when they did your root canal.... she cleaned out the infection and saved my tooth and i was so happy..she was great ..NEVER going back to eastern dental in old bridge.
