    This bank is personal and attentive. All the personalities are helpful and friendly. This is also my favorite branch.

Life was extremely hectic that week and I was lucky enough to deal with Mike Grady. He went above and beyond to make this fast and simple..even took the time to call my insurance company for me. You can't add your card to your apple wallet, you can scan a check into the app. It's all so outdated. My account went overdrawn while working to change things over to a new bank and they charge you for the fees...makes sense. One day I checked and they charged me 6 times at once. So I call and I tell the very rude lady on the phone that I'm taking care of it and I have already switched the bill to my new account. I'm not sure why they keep trying to take it out of this account but in the meantime could you help me stop these fees from coming out. She said no as quick and rude as possible. I've had other banks before so I know that usually there is something they can do. But I guess not Quincy credit union. They suck, their customer service sucks, the app sucks. Don't use this bank!!!

    Jack McMullen Some Thoughts on the way Citizens Bank Handled…read morea Recent Branch Incident in December 2022 I banked with Citizens (and its predecessor banks) in Burlington, Vermont and Cambridge, Massachusetts, the former for 27 years and the latter for over 40 years. For all of that time I had cordial relations at both locations and with the managers and tellers resident in the two branches I used in each city. Burlington branch is terrific. Central Square Cambridge has become another story. For most of my 40 years of patronage the branch served me well. I was a satisfied customer. Then late in 2022 the management and many of the tellers in that branch were changed over wholesale. They do not know their customer and apparently don't care to. They changed long standing practices which led to a heated dustup with one of the new tellers transferred from elsewhere (my fault for losing my temper with her and her fault for total inflexibility in insisting on rejecting a deposit containing a check deposited the old way for more than a decade). Ironically, after I left the branch I walked to the Portland Street branch nearby and deposited the rejected check (so resisted by that new teller) without incident. Then instead of asking for a meeting about the incident, the bank simply sent a pre-emptive letter closing my seven accounts, corporate and personal, blowing up my ability to operate and receive direct deposits (SSN check and other links). The letter said the decision was final, do not contact the bank. The letter gave 30 days grace but was sent to my Vermont office so only 10 days remained when I returned there from Cambridge. Needless to say when an action like this is taken the bank knows full well the disruptive effect it will have and doubtless intended that. It has taken hours upon hours to restore my ability to operate my business and personal accounts. Despite over four decades of fairly good experience with Citizens (and its predecessor banks) I cannot recommend a bank that acts in such a summarial manner and potential customers reading this report should not take the risk of banking there either. The lines move quite quickly and I never have trouble with the service I received. While convenient, BoA and the other large banks around here do not offer the best in terms of savings accounts. With 0.01% as compared to others such as Barclays which offers 1.5%, it's almost a lie calling it a savings account.

    This is one of the oldest branches of BOFA. In this day of online banking, it is a rarity I have to…read morevisit a bank for any transaction. But I do have to for any reason, I try my best to go to this branch. One of the oldest in town and possibly in greater Boston area, this branch is in a very old but a very well kept building. The interiors are quite spectacular just as much as the main building and the way it stands out bang in the middle of Quincy Center. Steps away from the Quincy Ctr T station, it is very convenient for anyone using public transit to get here. There used to be a parking lot behind the bank building along with a drive through ATM. It is under renovation as part of the Quincy Ctr. expansion / renovation project - I think. But street parking behind the bank near the court house is not bad at all if finding a spot on Hancock St is a hassle. The staff at this branch is very kind and quite efficient. There are quite a few counters for the bank tellers for all the general transactions. There are also booths where personal bankers help you with more intensive needs and consultations. I have never had to wait for more than a few minutes for either the general banking tellers or any other consultations. The service is always quick and easy and for the more critical needs, very informative and helpful indeed. A great example of a very well run branch.
