I spoke with my aunt, and she told me about Park View and how helpful they were when she was making plans for her funeral, etc. She was absolutely right. They were very kind and helpful, and sat with me and my sister while we made the decision for cremation and what urn to choose for him. They didn't pressure us at all about having the service there or with anything else. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know because they just made everything easier.

Advised me that he would be there within 30 minutes. Val showed up in less in 30 minutes. He came in and was extremely respectful gave us time to finish having our last moments. The room was quiet and nicely decorated. The person who performed the Catholic ceremony seemed to be running late and didn't have her glasses and was a bit confused on the details. The Catholic part of the ceremony seemed to be 100% correct, though. $300 seemed a lot for someone to be less than perfect. I noticed that the sound seemed to have some glitches. Given that it was a difficult time, the ceremony went fairly well.

Nicole was absolutely amazing, she was not only sympathetic to the emotional distress I was in due to my Mom just passing but she was patient and comforting as well. She explained the process and as she was gathering the information needed, she made it a conversation versus a transaction. Since some of the arrangements were previously made, Nicole took the time to show me what had previously been selected and asked if there was anything that I might want to change. She reassured me that my Mother had arrived at Deegans and was being treated with care. She connected me with an amazing Chaplain to perform the service. There were no details over looked. Nicole coordinated with the florist and they were beautiful. Nicole even reached out randomly to just check on me and make sure I was doing ok. Working with Nicole was like having an instant friend, she just knew how to make this part the losing my Mom less painful. My family is from Ripon and Deegan's Funeral Home has assisted us with all our funeral needs over the years. They are and have continued to be, the gold standard in the funeral business.

It would never have occurred to me to write a review for them until I came across a ridiculously rude review below that I both reported and am offsetting with a positive review to put their rating back where it belongs. The grounds are beautiful, the ambience is peaceful and I feel good about selecting this site as a final resting place. ....throwing a temper tantrum and giving a location like this a negative review because you couldn't pee there- during covid no less- gives an entirely mislead perception of how it actually is to someone considering this as the final resting place for their loved one. The roads could be better improved. Several of the trees' roots have lifted the roads, making each road seem like it has several bumps. You definitely need to drive slow here. When there are several cars, you need to drive carefully as the roads become one lane. It's a tight fit, but manageable.

Our Family needed to do some preplanning for my Father In-law who was in the wonderful care of…read moreHospice of San Joaquin. My cousin told us she had recently been to a service at Casa Bonita and we started our search there first. We went no farther in our looking. Tim Cordova explained very completely what we could expect and even went so far as to tell us to shop around, but because of his knowledge and kindness we went no further. The facilities are beautiful and the staff is so helpful. Never tried to sell us more than we needed and explained so very clearly what all our next steps would be even going so far as to call the Catholic Cemetery to let them know we were coming their next. My Father in-law passed very shortly after this information meeting and we were so please at how Tim and staff made all the connections for the Military procession, Vigil, Church Mass and Cemetery. Very comforting to get all the information and know our plan with no guessing. It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one but having the details taken care of by Casa Bonita was a great blessing. They went so far as dropping of death certificates and plants to our home. Moses was fabulous in helping me figure out all what was needed to make a lovely Catholic funeral Mass happen for him. He did it all and coordinated bringing my dad from another funeral home in another state (he lived there but wanted to be buried in the cemetery his parents are at in Stockton) so was just a little more complicated. Plus I had my brother's cremated remains I wanted to be buried with dad. Moses made it all come together without a hitch The music and singers he booked were fabulous and their location is beautiful for any services you would want to do there. Ours was a little more detailed because we had the Rosary the night before, Mass at the church the next day then followed to the cemetery for the graveside part. He and all the other staff were very professional and right on every little detail. I cannot thank everyone at Casa Bonita enough for such a wonderful job they did. This is not an easy business and I see some not good reviews on here but I have to say those people have to be something wrong personally because of course a business has to be paid. Yes, everyone pays otherwise you don't stay in business very long. Moses helped me save alot of money by finding solutions for a couple of very high cost items, so I personally know he's not out to get every dollar you have. In fact I need to contact him soon to start pre-need planning for mom because she will be buried with dad and I'm not going to go anywhere else. My Nonnie's funeral was also held here in 2015 and although I had no part in planning hers, I did attend and hers was just as lovely. I'm sure that is why my dad got brochures and information back then. You can be sure everything will go smoothly when Moses is taking care of things. Thank you for everything you do.

Colonial Rose lied about pricing multiple times. They tried to add additional costs, $1,150 plus…read moreanother $300, multiple times even after we had agreed on price and total and signed the contract. They tried to short me two entire hours of my loved one's funeral service and ended up shorting me only one hour after I complained. At the planning meeting I informed them that I wanted to pay on assignment they agreed since that's one of the approved forms of payment they take. This was two weeks before the funeral. Then they proceeded to lie and say that my loved one's life insurance company didn't allow that type of payment and that I had no claim opened, but in reality they were the ones to call the insurance company and specifically say they were refusing the payment on assignment and wanted to be paid up front. And not wait the obligatory 20 days. When I informed them that I didn't have a way to pay them in cash which is why I chose the payment on assignment option they said "well if there's no payment there's no funeral or cremation" only a couple days before the funeral. They made it seem like they were holding my loved one's body hostage and only cared about their money. So not only was I dealing with the devastation of losing my loved one now I had to scramble to find cash to cover the costs since they will charge 3% for using a credit card. They lied multiple times to my face and they were very inconsiderate and lacked training. The only employee that I have nothing bad to say about was their receptionist Dylani. She was always very helpful and thoughtful. And then as a cherry on top Lenny the funeral director signed the guest book before any of the family or guests did. I was very irked by that because he wasn't family or a friend and signed it as a business card.
