Dr. Morocco is amazing. My son is 6 with many specialists, has had many tests and surgeries- he's treated by many. This office has a coordinator of care that helps me, as a single mom of disabled son, navigate current goals, what we've accomplished and what's next. Dr Morocco can tend to run behind but when he's with us, he's solely focused on my son and his needs. We are there often bc my sons immune system is horrible- the staff at the desk, the nurses over the phone and med assistants all know my son, and make him feel safe when he has pretty significant medical trauma from surgeries etc. I know my sons needs are being met and my concerned are not ignored- actually the doctor always tells me what an amazing job im doing as a mother advocating for him, because he's come so far over his 5 years - if anyone's a single medical momma - that means everything to me, and it is rare to hear, so when it comes from his primary doctor, it truly means the world. I would 100% recommend Dr. Morocco to any & all. They're truly amazing group. read more

Dr. Fernandez is excellent. Our son goes here. Never had any issues with staff. The MDs and NPs who call back if there is an emergency at home with a fever, etc. have always been excellent too. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews? The office is very clean. Everyone has always been kind and knowledgeable! One issue is the sick appointments-they only allow sick visits in the afternoon and on the same day. The reasoning is for the AM they see "well visits" and it keeps the sick kids away from the "well ones". I do get why they do this--it's just tough when our son is sick all day and can't be seen until after 2pm. But they always call and help over the phone. read more

I tried making an appointment for my children to see their pediatrician and she gave us a hard to about the nature of the visit. Tried to say we needed a same-day visit when the nature of the appointment did not warrant an emergency/same-day appointment. Jenny the office manger was and continued to be highly inconsiderate and very disrespectful. Not to mentioned her patronizing and condescending voice towards me for simply asking why a same-day appointment was necessary when it was not an urgent matter. I should have known from all the other reviews to stay far away from this place. The "office manager" Jenny is one of the rudest most vile human beings I have ever come across in this field. How Dr. Morocco let's her run his practice FOR CHILDREN is disgusting and he should be ashamed. I have been going back and forth with this office to schedule my children as new patients since the end of October. I was told on 11/1 to call back Monday or Tuesday and they will let me know how to schedule them because they are triplets and didn't know if they needed 2 or 3 appointment slots, but assured me they are taking new patients after January. Low and behold I call today and the "office manager" Jenny said "I have no idea what you're talking about and we aren't taking new patients" and hung up. I called back and she hung up on me again screaming "I answered your question" I called back again and told who ever answered the phone that I won't be put on hold and I wanted to speak to the director. This woman who sounded like she smoked 3 packs a day in a vile voice said "you have no choice, hold or call back we're busy" Again... these are the people this Dr. trusts to run his practice for children? An attitude and to treat patients and parents this way? Because they are... busy? Absolutely not. Go somewhere else. read more

There are actual medical doctors here. Not just NP or PA providers. So that's something. But honestly. That's the only thing. This office is clearly very protective of its staff. They want you to wear a mask. Even when you're alone in the exam room. And if anyone in your house has had a cough (Covid test irrelevant) you have to reschedule your well child appointment. Seems reasonable at first. But since parents often rely on pediatricians to instruct them on vaccines, it results in kids who are unvaccinated or under vaccinated and not because their parents are anti vac. My own kids were unvaccinated for flu at Thanksgiving. Why? Because their older sibling was coughing and their mother (me) was too dumb to lie to the receptionist. Sure. There are babies coming through. We need to protect them. How about baby-only hours? When my kids were babies their doc (not this office) would let us go directly to the exam room to wait - to avoid the sneezing coughing puking masses. But now... those babies have to live in a world where kids are behind on their freaking Covid measles flu dtap etc. which is not better. You might as well have the on call minute clinic follow your kid. They are more available and more attentive. Or maybe just home-doctor them. That seems like a reasonable alternative. And if -God forbid- you have an urgent need they are going to send you to another place. Because ew. These people don't want sick kids in their office. On call took over 3 hours and numerous call attempts to be told "if it's an emergency, maybe I should go to hasbro." I do not understand how they keep Jenny. She is a nightmare who enjoys being miserable. She violated HIPPA by intentionally not releasing medical records timely. 45 days later she laughs and hangs up when we call. Let's see if the department of health finds it funny when they review the release forms and time lapse. Sad truth, would have kept the kids there if it were not for her. Doctors are great but you can't even reach them to express your issues with her. She monitors all calls and destroys any fax messages sent directly to the doctor regarding her anger. read more

Love love love this place! My children are almost 10 years apart and I went through probably 10 pediatricians with my oldest because of different problems or issues. You could say I don't mind shopping around for physicians. Our youngest son is almost two now and we have loved this practice from the start, we generally see DR. Myatt but have also seen 2 other of the doctors there who were both *amazing* with him too. The nurses are always nice and the reception is always really proficient and helpful! Nurses are super quick with shots too! The office new and old location are in a pretty easy to manage location in Providence's east side, not so see into college hill that you can't find a ton of easy parking. The new building is nice the new office was beautifully renovated it feels spacious and new while still giving you a homey vibe. I recommend this practice to anyone who's looking for a pediatricians office that is easy and convenient and leave you not dreading the dreaded doctors office visits! read more

Dr. Farb is a wonderful doctor, I have been bringing my oldest daughter here since she was born and she's 7 now, I also have a 17 month old that comes here. It's always easy to get an appointment when your child is sick, (it must be same day) never had any issues with this and I understand this policy. The staff is nice. I see a lot of reviews calling them rude but I have never in my 7 years of coming here experienced anything like that. Not giving a 5 star review because the wait time can definitely be worked on. You can have a 9:15 appt and not get called upon until about 9:45-10:00 (am). They have more doctors now, I think that is something that can definitely improve. read more

My children were turned away today because they didn't have masks when we arrived. They would not provide masks for them. They said I would have to reschedule their appointments. My children have been going to this office for years. I left work early and canceled a dentist appointment I had scheduled 6 months ago. I won't be able to reschedule that appointment until mid November. More importantly, my daughter has had stomach pain for a week. I work in the medical profession. I can not imagine refusing to see a patient because they didn't have a mask. We would immediately provide them with a mask. I am disgusted. We will not be returning to this office. read more

Dr. Myatt really seemed more interested in degrading us for missing our son's 2 year check up instead of treating him. We saw her for a sick visit around Christmas 2016 and she really drove home that we had missed the two year check up. We had been in the office twice before that year. Our son has had a persistent cough so we scheduled a visit for today. After the normal routine of height/weight etc by the nurse Dr. Myatt came in. Our son was naked, crying and coughing. My partner starts describing what has been wrong and instead of addressing the issue at hand she immediately tells us "you haven't been here in a long time, I haven't seen him since he was one". Both flabbergasted we say we have, we saw her only 3-4 months ago. She then backtracks and says they were only sick visits, that we missed the two year check up. We know that, are we supposed to go back in time? Why would she insist on insinuating that he is sick because of a missed check up instead of actually addressing and treating what is wrong? When we were there last she did the same thing: degrade us for missing a check up followed by no diagnosis. Quite frankly I knew this visit would be the same. My fault for bringing my son to see her. My partner let her have it asking her what are we supposed to do, why are you demeaning us instead of treating our son. She was frustrated. She did not yell or swear. Dr. Myatt responded saying that she would leave if my partner was going to talk to her like that. My partner said fine. Dr. Myatt got up and left, literally SLAMMING the door on a sick 3 year old. Absolutely disgusting. Thank you Dr. Myatt for focusing on the missed two year check up over treatment for my son once again. Today I will be bringing him to the emergency room after staying up all night with what I believe to be an ear infection. Edit: My son has an ear infection. Here's how East Side Peds works. 1) You cannot book an appointment in advance 2) You need to call in the morning to book an appointment for the same day 3) If they have an opening that day, you will get the first appointment. This may or may not work with your schedule, but it does not matter - this is the appointment you will get. If you cannot move your schedule around for this appointment, you will not get an appointment that day. 4) Once you arrive for your appointment time, you will wait for at LEAST a half hour, usually one hour, before you can see the doctor. 5) If you don't like this system, they will tell you it's your fault. TL;DR: The business model is set up to make the doctor's life easy, not yours. read more

I had a very bad experience with East Side Pediatrics - don't recommend them to anyone - 2 out of 3 doctors couldn't recognize hand foot and mouth even when my baby was all covered in red dots (and I asked - maybe he have hand foot and mouth?) - so they said it is an ear infection and prescribed my baby an antibiotic which was completely unnesasary since 3rd doctor to whom we went since few days later since there was no effect told us it is hand foot and mouth. read more

We have been coming here since not long after the practice started and our two kids have grown up in its care. Dr. Myatt is great; Dr. Morocco and Dr. Farb, who we've seen occasionally over the years, are also very good. I suppose as the practice has grown busier it might be harder to get in, but speaking for us we've never had a problem getting a sick visit or a phone consult on call. This is a busy primary-care practice and I think if your expectations are in line with that you will be fine. read more

We love our doctor but can't stand the rude women in administration. I've dealt with them a couple Of times but this time really ticked me off. I scheduled a sick visit for my daughter today. I don't think anyone would intentionally show up for a child's sick visit late. I am also pretty sure that we don't get on the highway to head somewhere in RI thinking that the It will get shut down due to a shooting. My daughter had arrived 15 minutes late for her sick visit and was turned away. They didn't have empathy as to the current situation and rescheduled for later in the afternoon. Well apparently that won't work because we are avoiding that area completely. She was taken to the ER. I called the office to let them know we can't make it for 2:30 and asked about the "15 minute Grace time" for the appointment. I don't care what the answer is, but to reply in a demeaning way is completely unacceptable. She was careless and rude.. "we don't have grace time, we have show up for your appointment on time"... thanx lady because if I can control it, I do not want to return to that office. They say this is the best pediatric office in the state but unfortunately they will not carry the same reputation for long if they keep anyone in the office that speaks to the parents of the patient in such a way. read more

I have been going to ESP for 7 years, both of my children see Dr. Morocco. He is WONDERFUL. I have never had any issues with him or any of the other doctors. The staff can sometimes be a little rude but overall the care my children get from the doctor is great. read more

Dr. Myatt is very warm and engaged and clearly loves babies, as do her colleagues. The office offers same-day sick visits, and rapidly returns calls from parents during business hours (we have yet to use the answering service, and are sure it also generates a quick response). Plus a convenient location with lots of parking for those on the East Side of Providence. We're really happy with our pediatrician! read more

I started taking my son to this practice in 2008 when we moved to Providence, and they have been the only pediatrician's office that my daughter has ever been to. There is very little turnover in the staff, and I know all of them by name. Since we started going to this practice, it has expanded by two doctors, and I'm equally happy with all of them. I'm not sure why people are ragging on the staff. I notice that they are busy, but they are certainly not less polite to me than any other medical staff have been. I've never received anything resembling a negative attitude from anyone. read more

Dr. Farb is one of the best doctors I have ever had contact with. She takes her time to answer all your questions and she absolutely loves baby's. I however hate that every time I go there I am stuck waiting an hour to see her with a 7 month old baby. They make you take your baby's cloths off and sit for 45 mins to wait for the doctor... Every time I go I contemplate changing doctors because I am so pissed off I have wasted my day at this office but then the doctor comes in and she seams to melt away my problems because she is so nice and educated... The receptionist really needs to go she has no personality and she doesn't really seem to care about the patients much. Dr. Myatt is the best! She is so warm and gentle and really gets to know her patients. My 4 year old is not scared of going to the doctor at all since he has started seeing her. She is very patient at answering my questions and has great recommendations for things like teething, sleep training, etc. Also the nurses are really good at giving shots super quickly. When babies have to get 2 or 3 at a time, the nurse gets everything ready and then boom boom both shots are done before baby even realizes it. They also have a parking lot so no having to find a spot on street or pay for parking. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointment. read more

Tracey Myatt billed us for an "asthma evaluation" when my son already had an asthma specialist, during our yearly physical. When I complained they resubmitted the insurance claim and it came back with a hearing exam that wasn't covered. Suddenly when I dispute a charge another charge appears that wasn't there the first time. I was fighting with them for months about it. He has never had a hearing problem and his last pediatricians never billed us for any hearing tests that weren't covered. They told me they would take care of it. 8 months later I get a another bill along with a notice that it is too late to dispute the claim with our insurance. This office performs unnecessary tests and bills the insurance companies for them to get extra money. Most people probably don't even notice. We have a high deductible plan so I notice all extra charges. Doctors like this are the reason health insurance in our country is so expensive. They should be ashamed. The operation of this place is atrocious. We recently moved to Providence and set up an appt for our infant back in the fall. The woman on the phone was wicked rude. For 3 weeks before the appt, I called once per week to see if there were any cancellations (our son might have an ear infection?) and they were rude every time. Finally, the appt came! My husband & I took the day off from work and have waited for this appt. Our GPS made us drive by the office so we had to loop around (it's on a one-way), which made us a few minutes late. I walked in with our son at 11:06 am (it was an 11am appt) while my husband parked the car. The receptionist was checking someone in, so by the time she called me up it was 11:12 (when in reality we were there since 11:06). She then called her office manager saying I came in at 11:12 and they refused to take us. She said it's because he's a new patient and there is paperwork. While I could understand it more if we showed up VERY late...they seriously shooed us away for being a *few* minutes late? Sorry that life happens? I asked if there were other appts we could possibly have today since we took today off from work, she said the earliest would be in March or April. Our son is 9 months old and babies are on a schedule for shots, so why would we book another appt further out with a rude practice? No, thanks.
