**A True Hidden Gem in Orillia **…read more As we were passing through Orillia, we decided to stop into **Theo's Restaurant** for a bite to eat--and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and brought to our table with such genuine hospitality. The space is spotless, intimate, and beautifully styled, creating the perfect atmosphere for a cozy meal. The menu is filled with wonderful Greek and Italian options, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The bruschetta was outstanding, and the veal parm was perfection. The food alone is worth the visit, but the service truly elevated the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, giving us that small-town connection where we didn't feel like "just customers." We also noticed the same level of care at the tables around us--clearly, this is how they treat everyone who walks in. Theo's is definitely a place I'd stop at again on my next trip back. And for anyone who lives in Orillia, it's a wonderful spot for a family celebration, a special date night, a relaxed dinner out, or even a business meeting. **Five stars all the way. The Theo family has done an incredible job.** Anja Lavigne ( Toronto/Kwarthas )

The pepper was full not that we used it and they give enough tzatziki sauce to swim in (not that I'd recommend trying that) We aren't positive but think it's POSSIBLE Justin Beiber was at another table here. You be the judge. Deffo would recommend.

Being a fan of the Bakes by the Lake lunch and treats, I was excited to see they had expanded and were offering more options to the gluten free and vegan community. The tea room is beautifully and elegantly decorated. From the light fixtures to the cutlery, it shows they have put much thought and energy into the vision they have for the space. I was definitely impressed! The menu offers a little bit of everything. My boyfriend, who isn't gluten free tried a gluten free beer and really enjoyed it. We were there around lunch so we opted for sandwiches. Not having to ask if something could be removed or was gluten free was so nice. We swapped half's of sandwiches and loved both. My boyfriend had no idea it was vegan cheese until I told him after he ate his half. He said he would order it again. The Gourmet Grilled Cheese had the upper hand with the black truffle dip that came with it - sooo good. How can you go wrong with black truffle anything?! :) All and all, was a terrific dining experience. We will be back for sure! They offer live music, brunch, lunch and dinner and also have a very nice patio. The customer service was spot on too. Being family run was really nice to see too. Can't wait to see how great this place does!

*** Update from our previous visit ***…read more My family had been to Era 67 in late September, and had a horrendous experience. After we posted our review the owner, Brian, contacted us to discuss what happened. He then offered for us to come back and give them another shot. We accepted, and returned this past Sunday (November 10th) When we arrived, we were seated quickly in the private room. Brian extended his apologies again and thanked us for returning. Our drink order was taken and delivered in a timely manner. My husband was impressed with his Old Fashioned, and said it was well made. We placed our appetizer and dinner choices at the same time. The appetizers were a bit slow to come out, however we attributed that to it being a busy evening. No big deal for us. We had the stuffed Yorkies, and the bruschetta. Both were excellent. Our dinners took longer than expected, but again, it was a busy night. 2 of us has the braised lamb shank, 2 had the Prime Rib special, and I had the striploin. They were worth the wait!! My brother wanted to lick his plate when he finished his lamb and said it was the best he's ever had. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the prime rib was also well enjoyed. Although we didn't have much space left, we elected to try their flourless chocolate torte for dessert, 2 pieces to be shared amongst us. It was super rich, but came with a raspberry coulis to help cut it. Excellent!! All in all, our experience was a million times better than our last. For me, personally, I do wish the food came out a bit faster, but aside from that, we were all very pleased. I've given it a 4 only because of the delay in between courses. The food was still worth the wait though. I know that my family plans to return. My mother wants to try the lamb after seeing how much my father and brother enjoyed theirs. Thanks for a great night, Brian.

The slices on display looked like roadkill that have been sitting there since yesterday. It looks like it has seen better days in the decor as well. I felt super dirty going in there. Jay our server welcomed us warmly into the establishment. His smile alone made the experience fantastic but then he continued to deliver a positive and surprising experience. Jay notified us of the deep fried avocados which was my first time hearing about this wonderful treat at a pizza pizza. Kudos Jay! We didn't try the avocado deep fried, a bit exotic for our taste buds but it was delightful to learn That they are an option. Speaking of learning Jay taught us about all the soda options available. Did you know they have Barq's cream soda?! This is the first time I had even heard that this was a thing. All in all the experience was 11 out of 10. Jay provides great service and I can't wait to come back. Well done gentlemen keep up the great work.
