This place is FANTASTIC and being as we love France you can't get anything more aunthentic than this. The staff were all miserable and inattentive and made us feel quite uncomfortable while we were getting ourselves seated. Despite the fact the restaurant was completely empty (which is no surprise!) we were seated by the door to the toilets. When we asked for a couple of minutes to decide on drinks, fifteen minutes passed before the waitress returned, still looking miserable. Only two of us had starters and we weren't asked if we would like them with mains so the rest of us sat there with nothing but a couple of breadsticks to satiate our hunger. Starters took a further twenty minutes to arrive and the mains probably took even longer. No one asked if everything was okay with our meals, nor asked if we wanted any more drinks; odd to say the restaurant had only gained two other customers by this point on a Saturday evening. The £6/£12 divide on the menu wasn't explained at all. None of us were happy paying £12 for food that was apparently authentic Italian cuisine. There was far too much on the plate, it was poorly presented and poorly cooked. To put the boot in further, we then waited another twenty minutes just to get the bill so we could leave! Needless to say, no tip was left. Will not be returning.

The food is basic and expensive, for the price is cant recommend anything but the sides would suffice some drinking snacks. The decor is nice but the staff can let the cleaning slide from time to time. The staff in general are nice but more than once i've had to wait to be served because the staff are talking amongst them selves or with regulars. Better bars around, try it if you have too.
