Nice seating outside for those warmer days but plenty of room inside. Unusual decor, a mixture of rustic with modern American diner. But, it works. The choice of food is second to none. From Eggs Benedict to filled baguettes. Great for a midmorning brunch or later lunch. As I have said, service is quick, friendly yet very professional. I am told that there are plans to open another restaurant. Hopefully, this will come to fruition. More hopefully, for us, closer to where we live as I certainly would make a Fig and Favour one of my haunts.

I thought that i had written a review for Molly's before but cant see it so here goes…read more Molly's is a proper old fashioned type cafe serving all manner of cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, lunches etc. It has parking at the rear (although you can usually get parked somewhere on The Green) and has about 8 or 9 tables for 4 people. It gets extremely busy at lunchtimes - to be expected because of its quality reputation. The food is really good, well cooked and a fair price. The staff are incredibly happy and chatty and cant do enough to help. Oh and proper MUGS of tea. Win. They also do free delivery within 3 miles for orders of £8 which im guessing is quite popular with the local offices as im always seeing the Molly's vans round and about. Ive knocked one star off (i wish i could just take off half a star...) because their website is really quite rubbish. I wanted to link to it to show you the menu (as i was too busy scoffing my food and reading the paper to take loads of photos for you) but there are no menus, no photos nothing. Come on Mollys its 2014 - get someone to do you a good website!!!

This fairly new Cafe, has been open 7 months and I only recently visited the premises to have a…read moremeeting to discuss some events that a few volunteers for Kemp Hospice are organising. We found the venue, very well decorated and gave a very homely feel. All floors in the building have been used and are open to customers and I can highly recommend the top floor lounge area with a sofa and chairs. We only had a hot drink, but we will be back soon to sample the breakfast menu and will write a report on that too. Highly recommend a visit.

You know what those five stars are for…read more Not the tea. Not the coffee. Not even that cute little pot of brown sugar to the left hand side of the serving window. I'm talking about the door wedge, fat rock, murder weapon of a bacon sandwich. You've been walking around in the cold all day with your dog or family or whatever and all you can think of is THAT work of art waiting for you at the bottom of the hill. It Instantly cures hypothermia, strips the dog muck from your shoes and takes you to your happy place. "Do you want black pepper on that?" the lady asks. Oh you're damn right I do, put another few slices on the grill baby; I'm never going home. Then Nimmings is shut Mondays...but I guess if they served 7 days a week they would over take God in greatness. It's the only time I don't mind eating outdoors surrounded by angry dogs and old people. The indoors bit is always full but it's tiny anyway. You already know what I'm talking about; and if you don't, sort your life out. (They may also offer vegetarian options. Like water.)

However, in true Black Country style, they also serve hot pork baps for you to have with your latte. They are a couple of tables on the street, so I sat outside with a 99p cup of tea (comes in a big mug and then you can put your own milk and sugar) which was lovely and gave me a nice break from my charity shop tredging. The two blokes in there (seems unusual to see such a place run by young men, but all well and good) were friendly and polite and it looks like a popular place among the locals. Worth seeking out if you're thirsty and passing through (Blackheath).

Its a large…read morecafe at the top of the High Street - quirky as it has a mildly religious feel but this is not shoved in your face at all. Had a tuna sandwich and cuppa tay. Not too bad - roomy place & friendly staff. Menu is traditional but OK. V reasonably priced. High points: v grand old Gaggia coffee machine which is worth a visit in itself! 1930 style counter. Low point: A bit hot in there. Decor could do with cheering up. 3/5

The staff there are wonderful and provide a great personal service in what is usually a busy environment. It might be worth coming outside of lunch-time hours as these times can be rather busy, and although the service is fast, most people sit around enjoying the coffee and atmosphere, so seating can be an issue. I thoroughly recommend this place, if you fancy a nice sit down after doing some shopping in the town centre.
