This, along with the cafe in the Harborne market, is a regular haunt of mine and a great place for a cheap, decent and uncomplicated fry-up. This isn't a posh fry up with an eye-watering price tag match, so there's no organic bacon, free range eggs or Guardian-recommended sausages on offer here. This is a proper, traditional British fry up that arrives on a groaning plate along with a plate of toast and a cup of tea that only caffs can make.
Getting a seat can be a problem at times as there are only about 15 or 20 in total. Don't be put off if you look through the window and don't see an empty table - there are a few more hidden away at the back, and these are actually bigger than the ones you can see through the window.
