Not sure what happened with the other reviewers, but this is the second year I've done business with Aaron and he's always been great. I got 8 cinnamon queen chicks last June. They started laying in December. They all grew up beautiful and I love having fresh eggs everyday. This year, one of my girls was brooding so I decided to get some fertilized eggs for her to sit on. She's now a very happy and protective mama hen of 3 cuties. I can't wait to watch them grow. read more

Do NOT give this guy your money. His website looks like he has a working farm with a variety of chicks readily available. After you place your order you will hear nothing regarding how to pick up your chicks, he'll respond to your texts (not calls) saying the same thing "contact me next week, put HATCH at the beginning of your text" etc, etc, and each week you'll see nothing! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY. His website looks legit, but that's just a front. I ordered 8 chicks from this guy and when it came time to pick them up he was dodging my calls and texts. When I called him a scam artist, he finally returned my text. I waited a month for the chicks that I ordered to hatch only to find out that he only had 2 of the 8 that I ordered. He said he could get me the rest if I waited another month. I told him I wanted a refund and he said he was ok with that, but he never refunded the money. It wasn't until I let him know that I filed a claim/dispute with PayPal that he FINALLY returned my call and refunded the money. DON'T GIVE THIS GUY A DIME, HE'S A TOTAL SCAM ARTIST read more

We contacted East County Zoo about available chicks earlier this month, we were told what breeds were hatching on what date, we ordered 4 chicks of various breeds. Come hatch week one breed had not hatched but they offered to replace them with other available chicks which was nice. We arranged a pick up time that weekend, we texted our arrival and the chicks were brought out to us. They seemed very busy (not surprising, given the high demand for chicks right now) but they always texted back in reasonable time, which I appreciated. Currently the chicks are thriving, they are still very young but I have high hopes for them! I also appreciate the rooster guarantee they have. I would order chicks from East County Zoo again. read more

Do not recommend. We ordered 10 turkeys on 4/26. Mid- May we were told turkeys would hatch 5/19 and 5/20. No updates were received until 5/26 when we were told hatches would be updated. We asked if that meant the turkeys had hatched, and received no answer. Several prior requests for updates were also ignored or dates were given without further follow up. On 6/2 we saw a craigslist ads (posted 5/25) from this business listing the turkeys we bought and were still waiting on. We filed a claim with PayPal on that day. On 6/4 looked up the Facebook page for this business and left a review. On 6/5 the business contacted us saying half of our turkeys were ready, which we picked up that day. Later in the day the business posted on the Facebook page that we were scammers, and also contacted us with angry messages. He apologized after we let him know the situation, as well as updated our Facebook review. He said the rest of our turkeys would be ready at the end of them month. PayPal claim was allowed to expired 6/22 to give this business the benefit of the doubt. On 6/27 we had received no further updates, and the business owner began sending us harassing and threatening text messages (see pictures). He threatened us, our home, and our child, as well as threatened lawsuit against us because we would not remove our review from his Facebook page. After seeing other reviews here, this appears to be a routine behavior. Refund for the remaining turkeys cleared and received today, but after this experience I cannot recommend this business. read more

Don't give these guys ANY of your money. They are straight up FRAUD. We ordered chickens, feed, and equipment. They NEVER came. We tried calling, emailing, texting etc. No answers. They took the money and ran. We had to get our credit card company to charge them back! Don't buy from them! They'll legitimately STEAL your money. read more

Aaron is super helpful, responsive to questions, and knowledgeable. Chicks are always healthy. I have gotten 15 from him so far. I'm getting turkeys in May and guinea hens in June. Highly recommend ordering your poultry from him. read more

It is refreshing to have a local business that has so much to offer in products, nice chickens, organic feed and supplies to the small starter back yard chicken farm up to the largest. Great website user friendly. I love that they record hatch dates, no guessing how old the chickens are? Picked up my chicks today. Got fourteen of them, they are all in the pink of health, and I'm not seeing that I'll have any problems. What I really liked was that I could get several different breeds of my choosing all the the same time, which makes brooding much easier. The feed stores only offer a few different breeds at a time, and the big hatcheries make you order 25 minimum. The website was easy to navigate and Arron was excellent about staying in touch. Update! They're all doing great. A little problem with pasting with a couple of them, but it was both of the Light Brahmas, and I have learned that certain breeds can be more prone to that, so it wasn't really anything that could have been prevented. We have about 25 chickens in a backyard chicken coop and more than half are from Aaron. We have been buying poultry from Aaron for a couple of years now and he is always the first place we go to. He is super helpful, friendly and a pleasure to work with. He answers questions and really supports his costumers. We have purchase several chicks from him and they are always healthy and beautiful. He is always very helpful in rehoming unwanted roosters. I have and would recommend him to anyone interested in poultry. Check him out! read more

Awful customer service. Was quoted wrong price, wrong age of chickens, chickens were filthy and when I found out I had a rooster owner became nasty and irate with me when I told him I just wanted to return the rooster but not purchase another chicken from him. Now refuses to keep good on his guarantee of taking back a rooster. I own my own business and would NEVER treat a customer this way! So disappointed. read more

Aaron runs a poultry supply business that is seriously a cut above all the rest in the area. I've checked several other suppliers out and found him to be far superior to the others. He is super careful about how he raises his chicks and guarantees what he sells. He has a wide variety to choose from too. He knows each of his birds well, keeps accurate records so you really know what you are getting. He will take the time to get to know what you are interested in then match the birds with what you are looking for in personality and looks. He has a really good supply of feed and supplements. I was only interested in organic feed and he has some very high quality feed that is delivered right to your home! I really appreciated that service! He was always readily available and happy to help with questions and was always very supportive as I learned my way around being a chicken mom. This guy is the best and I give his business my highest recommendation for anyone looking for poultry and/or supplies. read more
