I was lucky to find these guys and have a great experience!…read more I am an avid offroad motorcycle enthusiast and I was looking to book a day of trail riding with real motorcycles rather than quads or SXS utv. Our tour guide Fab picked us up at the gate of our hotel (the Riu Palace on the other side of town) and drove us out to the ranch then loaned us boots, riding pants, jersey, helmets, chest protectors... the whole kit! Then we picked bikes from his collection of perfectly matched CRF450X Baja prepped bikes and after enough of a conversation to realize we might know what we are doing Ed pulled the gate open and Fab led us down the dirt road and into the wilderness! Ed followed behind us (2 of us, 2 guides!) down the trails and made sure no one got lost, Fab kept a good pace and would run as fast as we wanted. We rode to a cool little bar and cantina in Cabo Pulmo then up into the hills towards Mira Flora then back to the ranch. 6 hours total and we were never bored. Twisty washes, rocky rutted climbs and descends, a few water crossings, lots of sandy washes and very few whoops the first day... I think he was taking it easy on us! It was so good we booked a second day and this time Ed lead us up to the highest peak in the area then back down and and into the wash to play in the "Jumps" or more precisely Baja whoops in the sandy wash. Not too tough but definately enough to make you breathe and sweat! Fab and Ed are great riders and awesome hosts! Cash, Credit Card or PayPal at the time of service not months before so nothing to be nervous about. All and all a GREAT Experience and one you can't miss if you are a dirt bike guy going to Cabo for a few days! Thanks for taking the time to read my REALLY LONG REVIEW and when Yelp! gets the business set up I will share some pictures!

They ride to your speed and skill level. It's mostly not a very technical ride there are a few areas that require some skill but not much. It's a beautiful ride you will see much of the country all the way to the beach where you will have a nice lunch if you do a full day ride. I have not done a half day ride. The ride is mainly on dirt roads not really and single track.

Cabo Adventures is pretty much a one-stop shop for "activities," as they are described in Cabo…read more That includes ziplining, water cruises, UTVs, etc. We have done the ziplining twice and it was awesome. I prefer it at Cabo Adventures over the Wild Canyon zipline. The sunset cruise is outstanding. Fair warning: this is not a booze cruise and there will not be anyone under 50 years old on this trip, guaranteed. The music they will play will almost all be from the 1970s. Obviously, this cruise is intended for a certain demographic, although all ages are welcome. On the cruise, you will first see the arch from the Sea of Cortez side and then you will head to the Pacific Ocean side to watch the sunset. Dinner is served in a bento box (chips, guacamole, chicken wrap, caprese, and more) and it is really good. There is also an open/unlimited bar and the drinks are made to order and are delicious (I highly recommend the Paloma). I could not say enough about the sunset cruise. It is fun and very relaxing. It is obviously not for everyone but it was very well done. Also, the boat is not crowded. You can take a sailboat or a catamaran (which is what we took) and I believe the maximum number of passengers is 24. So there is plenty of room. They take photos, too, which you can later purchase, but there is no high pressure sale. Well worth it.

Was looking for something to do while in Cabo and booked this through one of the Princess Cruises…read moreexcursions. It was a pleasant outing though it was a 49 minute ride from the port to their trailhead. Raul and Hector were our guides and did a good job explaining the operation of the bikes and how the group would be broken up. It's definitely a social ride and no drop with stops to get the two groups back together. I was hoping for a little longer ride on the beach but with recent hurricane activity those sections had to be cut short. The lunch buffet, tequila tasting, margaritas and unlimited Dos Equis was a nice post ride plus. For me it was a nice break from the ship.

The biggest complaint from the other companies was the photo fee (some people mentioned additional $160 and up). NOT at Picacho Adventures. They let you take your phone/camera and allow you to take all the pictures you want. In fact our guide even took this picture for us (along with bunch of others). The whole process of signing up was super easy. Judy answered our call and accommodated our schedule. Most places want 24 hours notice to reserve shuttle pickup. Not only did Judy arrange last minute shuttle pickup but she gave us a custom time to help us get back early for another event. Find out that this is a "mom and pop" business. The whole experience was very personal and did not feel like a big company tourist "trap". We may have paid a little more for our tour but the total cost was much less than what the other companies would have charged (if you add the picture package). The total time was about 2 hours which was perfect. We were probably on the camel for closer to 20-30 minutes (didn't feel rushed). That was about the perfect time to enjoy the scenery and ride. Please do tip your guide as he works hard to walk you up and down the beach. With such a nice experience, we went ahead and booked our snorkeling boat ride in a couple of days. This is the first time I have used this tour company (no I do not get paid). I can't wait to return next year to ride the horses n the beach (you get to steer your own horse, not head to tail) and the ATV/UTV. This company should be ranked a 5 star (looked like they got hammered with a few bad reviews...probably different people from same group). Glad I found a trust worthy company.

The package we purchased also included a tequila tasting at the end. The tequila tasting was only for the adults. We were picked up from our hotel by the G-Force bus on-time. We packed it in, and I was given the control to the music on the way to their headquarters. From Cabo San Lucas it was approximately :45 minute drive so good music was essential. When we finally arrived at the location we had to check everyone in, pay, get fitted for our helmets, and had a safety meeting prior to heading on our 2-hour adventure. The experience was awesome, but I would definitely recommend prior experience on the ATV even though it's not necessary. The instructor does like to go fast and there are a lot of turns, bumps and hills. It will also be very dusty, so bring a face covering, or purchase one at the check-in lobby. One of the ATV's gears was slipping on the hills, so after a few mishaps, we had to wait until they exchanged the ATV's out. That took an extra :20 minutes, but thankfully we were reimbursed for the ATV. The best part of the ride was the beach. After riding through nothing but hills you feel free! Although one is not able to pass, or get out of line, the temptation is there. Believe me if you horseplay and don't follow the rules, they will not hesitate to pull you to the side. Once you get back and dust yourself off you can grab your belongings from the lockers you were provided at check-in and head on over to see the pictures!! A few of the crew members follow you around your adventure, in order to capture this memorable experience. After we got our pictures, we headed over to the tequila table for our adult tasting. The tequila presentation was exceptional. We were given a backstory on the tequila they produce locally. There had a few different types, but the chocolate liquor flavor seemed to be the popular one. All of the tequilas were flavorsome. The bottles were available for purchase after the :30 minute tasting. If your a tequila lover, I highly recommend it. Overall our group of 13 were completely satisfied with our adventure. The same driver took us back to our hotel, and even did us the favor of dropping us off in downtown for some tacos. Thanks to everyone for making this a memorable experience.

This is our second time using cactus tours, and we loved it!…read more We did the can am, side by side private tour with 3 of us in a 4 seater, and 2 in a 2 seater. With the private tour, you can take your phones and all your own pictures so that's a plus, also it's just your small group so you are stuck driving with strangers. We had our 5 year old son with us and our 21 year old daughter and they both had a blast! It gets extremely dusty so I highly recommend bringing bandanas to cover your nose and mouth. They do offer them for sale there but expensive. Our tour guy was great yohani or Joe. Don't waste the time on the tequila tasting afterwards, time wasted and they are just trying to sell you tequila. After the tasting they will try to coral you to view and purchase the pictures they took also. The pictures are really cool but I don't think worth the money especially if you paid for a private tour and took your own video and photos already! We drove to the tour location so I'm not sure how the pickup transportation service is so can't comment on that. We loved the experience both times we have done it and would love to do it again!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! DO NOT GO!!! We were told MULTIPLE times over the phone and on text that…read morethey offer ATV rentals and open use of the space without a tour guide. FIRST: They first picked us up at the wrong location at our hotel. SECOND: After the shuttle dropped us off they told us they don't offer unguided ATV use. If we want to do a tour privately, that would be an extra ~$100 USD. However, we would STILL need a tour guide, and that we would have to pay to keep our phones in lockers for some bs reason. IMO, that's dangerous to not allow people to have their phones on them just for a cash grab. LASTLY: We decided to say no and decline the tour altogether. They tried to charge us $20 per person to use the shuttle to and from the hotel, which is "included in the price if we do the activity, but not if we decline the activity." Another thing we were never told. We ended up fighting the agent on this, and they ended up waiving it because we could prove that all of the above ^ was told to us via WhatsApp. Cabo is full of scams. This is the biggest one of them all.

Visited March 12-15, 2025. Took the gray whale journey for 3 nights and 4 days with Baja…read moreExpedition, specifically Nautilus (glamping tent which got a free upgrade). I enjoyed the humpback whale expedition which came with a free lunch and drinks. We saw a lot of action not terribly far from shore. They also offered a photo workshop. Believe this is more useful for folks that use a digital camera as opposed to a cell phone camera although she gave some tips on that as well. Both were complimentary (on March 11). There was nothing wrong with the trip per se but there are many parts that occurred to get you to where you end up finally. Everyone was nice but I feel like there is a drop in communication as there are too many parts of the wheel. The charter flight was about 2 and half hours so make sure you use the restroom. There is NO bathroom on board. Also for clothing, please make sure you are covered from head to toe. This is NO joke. The weather may seem hot as hades on shore except at night, prepare for windy freezing conditions (they provided a heater AND heating blankets). When you are on the panga and travelling fast, it will be windy and probably cold. However, when you are waiting for some action, you are under the sun in water. Do NOT wear shorts and bring a cover-up for your face as well. Caps/hats are all good ideas. They offered the gaiters and a wind breaker. I commend the luxury tent. This is really what you are paying for. The fact that you get your own porta-potty and running water was fantastic. The shower had more settings than my own shower. They also offer room service so if you don't want it, please let them know. The food was decent as well. Breakfast is buffet and there is a person who can make you an omelet and the lunch and dinner are plated. Honestly, unless you enjoy the feeling of a 5 star hotel, don't think it was necessary. You honestly don't have that much time to eat during this trip. The time is literally spent getting ready for and the whale excursions. There's a volleyball net, soccer goals & bikes for you but it was so windy and honestly not much time to do any of that. Happy Hour had a different "snack" each day (oyster one was awesome) but no alcohol is free except for the one you get when you get off the plane. The food and service was wonderful. Was every dish a 5? No, but you are in a place where they have to import everything. There is also a nightly 30 minute? presentation given by some of your tour leaders. This tour company had the furthest spot (closest to the airport) so you spend a good 30 minutes (travelling quite fast) to get to the area where the whales are (and don't forget the return trip). We saw plenty of whales but everyone is there to "touch" a whale. The last day there, all the boats in our area did manage to touch one and our boat collided with another panga. Luckily all, including the whale, were unharmed but needless to say, our panga did NOT touch one. It also sounded like the whales were not coming to that area as much anymore. In fact, some were spotted in Cabo. Pro Tips: You should ask they rotate the people on the boats so you're not always with the same captain or panga. If you don't mind sharing a central porta-potty, pick a tour company that is closer to the area where they gather. You will have more free time. Don't drink any diuretics before the panga rides as bathrooms are limited to nature (although some boats do have a bathroom). Pangas that are lower might be better because than when you reach over the boat, you're closer to the surface of the water and don't have to bend over as much. This is a desert area so keep that in mind when packing.

The weather is fairly moderate at that point. Chilly at night and warm during the day. But be prepared for the night time wind. Bring earplugs as the tents slap against the poles most of the night. Not Baja's fault as you can't control the weather. Also, food is decent but keep in mind this is a camp in the middle of a national park so it is not high end resort food. Very good considering the remoteness of the location. Also having your own en-suite bathroom was everything!! No cold walks to the bathroom during the night.
